I also didn't like the Divergent trilogy that much but I still finished it. Dystopia yung genre so people are treated unfairly.

Sa lahat ng disappointed sa Divergent series, please count me in.
Napilitan na lang ako tapusin yung book 1 just to see kung magugustuhan ko sya till the end pero hindi talaga eh. Dun pa lang sa "Four" na not-so-original name, turn-off na ko...and of course kung dystopian lang with the same plot, nothing compares with The Hunger Games series. Wag na silang magtangka na gayahin ang HG.

I also like The Selection series, tamang kilig lang; dystopian yes, but more on romance kaya bumenta sya sa kin.

How was Do androids dream of electric sheep sis? I have this and other Philip K. Dick books on my shelf but I haven't gotten around to reading them yet. I may read The Man in the High Castle first.

Nag-enjoy naman ako sis, but I guess ito yung book na light naman basahin but at the end mapapaisip ka. Haha. As in thought provoking. Iisipin mo what the author is trying to say and what humanity really means. So pagkabasa mo babalikan mo pa sa isip yung book events.

Just finished the Legend Series and I loved it.  More than the story, I fell in love with Marie Lu's writing.  She's so good at tugging at your heart strings without resorting to the tired sappy styles that's usually employed in YA books.  Some people didn't like the ending though, pero for me, it was a good ending since most of the dystopian books I've read lately usually lose it at the end.  Dito, bittersweet but hopeful nonetheless.

^Glad you liked Marie Lu's Legend Series, make sure to read The Young Elites too! Really enjoyed it, super fast paced!

Currently reading The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas, as per some of my friends this is a cross between the Percy Jackson and the HP Series - not for me, but this is a good one too!

I've read The Young Elites too, but I still like Legend much better.

hooray.. i wasn't the only one quite disappointed in mockingjay.. okay na sana eh.. taas na ng excitement ko ng book 1 and 2.. then came book 3.. parang, come on, katniss!! krung-krung-an lang ang peg??

at dahil jan.. i liked legend trilogy better.. fast paced haggang book 3.. very hopeful ang ending..

divergent is so-so.. kindda dragging na saken yung book 3..
selection is also so-so.. mejo mababaw and pa-cute lang.. walang intense moments..

i would want to read murakami's books.. mejo na-trauma ata ako sa kafka on the shore.. hehe...

Di ko pa nababasa angDivergent series napanood ko lagn movie, pero tingin ko talaga mas maganda di hamak ang Hunger Games in my opinion.

Pero mas pogi yung bidang guy sa Divergent

I've read Shatter Me series, ang ganda. Kaso nabitin ako Hopefully magkaroon ng 4th book na about Warner and Juliette  Nabasa ko na rin Delirium series, the first book was good pero disappointed ako sa Requiem Parang ang bland nung kwento.
Plus points din ako sa Legend series! Ganda ng flow ng story

Just read Angelfall (Penryn and the End of Days book 1) and World After (book 2) by Susan Ee.

Grabeeee ang ganda!!! I don't really like angel books pero this series is different. The heroine Penryn reminds me of Katniss, she's such a badass pero with a sense of humor.

And the angel Raffe... swoon-worthy talaga!

Don't be fooled however, secondary lang yung romance in this story. Priority nila is survival and that's what I like most about it.

The third book will be released this May. I'm crossing my fingers that it exceeds all my expectations

I love dystopian novels! Makes me think of the future and if it's possible na mangyari yung iba. Ang gagaling din ng mga authors kung pano nila naiisip yung ganung klaseng story. Here are my favorite dystopian books:

- The Lunar Chronicles series (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Winter) by Marissa Meyer
- Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld
- Life As We Knew It (Last Urvivors series) by Susan Beth Pfeffer
- The 5th Wave series by Rick Yancey
- These Broken Stars (Starbound series) by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
- The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I've recently read Free to Fall by Lauren Miller. Ang galing ng concept. This is a future that I can totally believe in. Parang few steps away lang siya from our present reality.

And yung classes nila sa school, ang cool! Yung isang class nila virtual reality where there's a variation of the trolley problem (A trolley is heading towards 5 people on the main track. If you pull the lever, it will switch to a different track but will kill 1 person. If you don't do anything at all, it will kill the 5 people).

^ I think Lunar Chronicles is one of the best dystopian series Ang galing ng plot and yung pagkakaconnect ng bawat characters. My favorite is Cinder, how about you sis? I can't wait for Winter as well. Excited ako kung pano ipo-portray si Snow White na medyo delusional.
