^ I think Lunar Chronicles is one of the best dystopian series Ang galing ng plot and yung pagkakaconnect ng bawat characters. My favorite is Cinder, how about you sis? I can't wait for Winter as well. Excited ako kung pano ipo-portray si Snow White na medyo delusional.

I like Cinder the best din. Gusto ko yung sarcasm niya and yung banter nila ni Captain Thorne, funny! Though I ship Cinder and Kai <3

Late bloomer ako. I just finished The Hunger Games trilogy. After all of it, _____ was meant to die pala talaga.
I liked the 1st book, altho it felt like part 1 talaga sya - would not stand alone. Yung Catching Fire, medyo more on pag develop ng story, wala na masyadong setting of the scene na nagaganap.

Sa lahat ng disappointed sa Divergent series, please count me in.
Napilitan na lang ako tapusin yung book 1 just to see kung magugustuhan ko sya till the end pero hindi talaga eh. Dun pa lang sa "Four" na not-so-original name, turn-off na ko...and of course kung dystopian lang with the same plot, nothing compares with The Hunger Games series. Wag na silang magtangka na gayahin ang HG.

I also like The Selection series, tamang kilig lang; dystopian yes, but more on romance kaya bumenta sya sa kin.

Buti pala di ko na tinuloy basahin sayang lang oras ko.

^ Currently reading Free to Fall since I read some reviews on goodreads at ang gaganda ng feedback. Interesting plot too! I'll try to finish this today Then isusunod ko yang title pa lang ulam na na book haha.

Oo nga eh matagal tagal pa na paghihintay para sa Winter. Dalawang beses ko na rin nabasa yang Lunar Chronicles series habang wala pa yung last book XD

I just finished reading the Legend series by Marie Lu (Legend, Prodigy, Champion) and I've fallen completely in love with it!

Well actually the first book was just so-so (siguro if you've read tons of dystopian books, parang typical dystopian book siya). Pero the books get progressively better! The best talaga yung last book. I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, get mad, be heartbroken. Galing galing!

^ They're not really similar imho. Legend feels more like Romeo & Juliet in a dystopian world.

Done re-reading These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Maegan Spooner.

I still think that this is one of the best YA dystopian novels. I just wish that Tarver and Lilac are also included in the other books but turns out it would be different characters, they're all fighting for the same cause. I just love the relationship between these two, very realistic and swoon-worthy.

Just finished the "Under the Never Sky" trilogy by Veronica Rossi and sad to say I was a bit disappointed.  Sobrang taas ng expectation ko pero it wasn't enganging enough.  The 2 main characters, Perry and Aria were not likable.  Parang mas interesting pa yung mga support like Roar, Soren, etc.  The best pa din for me is the Legend series.  Anyway, will start with the Uglies soon.

^ Same here. Got disappointed with that series kaya hanggang book two lang yung binasa ko. Walang chemistry si Aria and Perry eh. Love ko naman ang Uglies series. Daming lessons din na matututunan especially when it comes to loving our self and about confidence too.

So glad that I've come across this thread! Late ko nga lang na discover  but anyhoo thank you girls for sharing your dystopian reads! I am currently reading The Selection and I am enjoying it. I also bought the Legend & The Uglies Series from Power Books (took advantage of their sale!). I also got Cress (from the Lunar Chronicles) as a gift from a friend. Sooo happy!

So glad I came across this thread! I like dystopian and post-apocalyptic books. Some favorites are Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Agenda 21 by Glenn Beck,  The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, The Giver by Lois Lowry,

Well if that is the definition of dystopian. then i guess (as of now) my best reco will be An Ember in the Ashes, 2 palang ang books niya. they said na it will only be a trilogy but parang may 4th book speculation sa goodreads. Buuut i super love it as evidenced by my endless song of praises sa reviews ko dun sa 2 books i've read.  The best world building and the plot is just perfect. Hands down the best character development! Please have a look at it. So excited for the 3rd book. it's not like the other series na parang the 2nd book is just like a bridge to stretch the story parang lang masabi na may book release (and thus earn more money). it's super sulit and all the ending is like a synthesis of the whole book. the end is hanging but it's so beautifully executed that you dont feel bereft at the end.
