as far as i can tell, more of fantasy than dystopian yung "daughter of smoke and bones" and "days of blood and starlight" (book 2) ni laini taylor. but whatever their genre, i definitely recommend them since maganda talaga yung story, plus ang colorful ng characters (literally and otherwise). same goes with the mortal instruments series. those are two of my favorite YA series ever.

Yup agree with you Sis the genre is fantasy / paranormal.  But maganda talaga sya, I rated the first book 4 (kase ayoko kay madrigal haha!) then the 2nd book 5 stars na kase wala na masyado si madrigal haha!  Mortal Instruments is kinda paranormal din ata.  I rated that book 3 stars only but I am currently re-reading it in time for the movie, siguro this time maiiba rating ko

and try reading yung Delirium and Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver,  and yung 3rd book nyan lalabas this year..

read them both and i can definitely say that they're much much better the matched series.

i rated both laini taylor books 5 stars, though (unlike you) i liked the first book better. mortal instruments books, 4 or 5 stars each book.

I'm in the middle of scorch trials.liking it so far.maze runner was slow for me nung umpisa up until teresa came then naging exciting na.i really like james dashner's style of writing,clear concise and with sense of humor.one thing lang that i noticed about dytopian reads is that,the best ones are those na may possibility talagang mangyari satin no? Anyway, after this series delirium naman ako.

I just finished reading Matched by Ally Condie, I nearly gave up reading this book, but thanks to my curiosity natapos ko siya.. actually I expected much for this book, kaya ganun kasi ganda kasi ng cover. kaso ngayon disappointed talaga ako.. well, sana sipagin ako basahin yung crossed at reached.

Insurgent was a much better read than divergent for me. Mas fast paced and mas exciting yung story. I tried reading delirium and bagal na bagal ako sa story nya na parang tapos() pero nakailang chapters nako pero la pa rin nangyayari...i'll try warm bodies naman. Although I don't think it falls under the dystopian category.

just finished reading under the never sky and through the ever night by veronica rossi. i really like them both. the characters are engaging and the story is just the right pace, not too fast nor too slow. can't wait for the third and last book.

I so love the first book, and I'm trying to not read the 2nd book kase gusto ko babasahin ko sya pag malapit na i-release yung 3rd book.  Kinilig ka ba kay Perry and Aria? Did you like the love story na hindi "instant" or love at first sight theme? Obvious ba masyadong excited ako dahil you read the book and you like it? LOL!

Me too! mas gusto ko yung insurgent kesa divergent.  Mas gusto ko yung pacing ng story kesa dun sa una...and I have so many "taas ng kilay" moments sa divergent kaya siguro di ko na-enjoy yun.

yeah, it was quite refreshing to read about a not-love-at-first-sight kind of romance. perry sounds hot, and has enough angst and tragedy to his character to come across as a perfectly imperfect hero. i like that aria seems to be a grounded, sensible girl and not at all an airhead. roar seems like the kind of guy who (if real) i would've become fast friends with.

I'm finally done reading the Matched Trilogy, my over-all rating is 2 stars (it was okay).. Love Pentagon or love square ata ginawa ni Ally condie dto..

1984 by George Orwell to-read ko ngayon..

and sana lumabas na  this year yung 3rd book ng Divergent and ng Delirium ..

^^ merong novella to, roar and liv. di ko pa nada-download, but planning to one of these days. liv figured mostly in the second book, but it was too brief. so tama lang na meron sila novella ni roar.

I really like THG trilogy, of course.  I recently read Divergent by Veronica Roth and Legend by Marie Lu and like those as well.

I just won an ARC of Tahereh Mafi's "Unravel Me" from a Goodreads giveaway, so I'm going to start "Shatter Me" (the first book of the trilogy) soon.

Yup, and unlike The Hunger Games, third person yung narration ng novel

Dalawa palang nababasa kong dystopian books. The Hunger Games and yung The Selection. Yung The Selection para talagang THG kaso lang walang mga gore scenes o mga patayan. Labanan lang ng ganda para mapiling maging asawa ng prince. Hehe. Try nyo basahin girls, maganda yun.
