Omg, eggzoited ako magkaron ng ip5!  Buti nalang may bonus!
Pero still hindi ko alam kung I'll get black or white. Kung 16gig or 32gig

Saan ba maganda magpabili, sa SG, HongKong, or US?

^You can check the Apple store online and compare. I was looking at those three options where to buy my iPhone. Among the three your best bet would be to buy in SG but you will have to have family or friends living there since the apple store will not deliver to shipping/forwarders.

In HKG, they still go by lottery and you have to have an HK ID to make reservations. Even if you have a friend in HKG who can make reservations for you, lottery pa rin.

In the US, they already sell non-contract IP5 meaning hindi na naka-plan sa telcos nila. But you have to get the Verizon unit which is compatible here. But these can only be bought at the telcos shops and not thru apple US online. If you have family or friends there, pabili ka.

Weighing my options, I decided to wait it out here na lang. Medyo mahal but at least in case defective yung unit or magka-problema in the future I don't have to bother sending it back wherever I bought the phone.

I really had no plans of getting a new iPhone but when I saw Globe's plans, I changed my mind.  Kasi for my plan (I'm on 1799 - 800 consumable and 999 unlisurf), I could get the 16G for only 4,800.  Then I plan to sell my current iPhone for mga P10k, so basically wala akong cash-out to upgrade my phone.

I'm scheduled to get my unit on the 14th.  Excited!

All other apple products meron warranty except for the phones.

you can only claim the warranty from the country where the iphone was bought from. in ph's case, the warranty will be handled by the local telcos. they are the only official iphone distributors. even when powermac and the likes sell iphones, those are from globe(at least, with the previous iphones).

share ko lang yung current problem ng close friend ko na Globe subscriber..

nagrequest na sya ng replacement ng nano sim. it's been 3 weeks pero wala parin. when she visited Globe's Trinoma branch, kailangan daw nyang maghintay kasi "NEW" subscriber daw ang priority ng Globe.. 3 years ng Globe subscriber yung friend ko tapos good payer pa sya pero hindi parin sya mabigyan ng good CS service..
