Finally got an iPhone 4s. =) Masaya naman ako dito. Haha! Di pa ako nagupgrade to ios6 kase ang bagal daw e.

^i was on ios6 when i was using my iphone4, didn't notice any significant slowness.

don't forget to get a Nano Sim so you can use your iPhone5 right away.  You can get it in any Globe business center even prior to the event on the 14th.

when you highly depend on the google map pala, don't upgrade to ios5. not accurate the maps.

Christmas came early! Finally got my iPhone 5 here in HKG. We decided to buy it here na lang since walang reset/retention program ang Smart unlike Globe's offer. It came out cheaper pa rin compared to buying Smart's prepaid units. Happiness

^^nope, it's still the lottery system through the Apple store but it's everywhere in the HKG gray market. I made sure though I got mine from the big stores (Broadway Electronics). HKD400 lang yung mark-up nila from the Apple store so pwede na. Still way cheaper than getting in Manila or the local resellers. Plus it came with a free blue tooth earbud headphone.

bummer, the globe rep didn't register me so i will have to wait another week to get an iphone. coincidentally, smart sent me a sim card which might be a sign that i can switch networks. now i am debating whether to get my phone from the states (january 2 eta), hk (dec 28/29 purchase) or wait for globe?

^I got the 32GB for HKD6788 (HKD6388 at the Apple store). Since you travel, I suggest get the unlocked phone as compared to Globe locked phone so you can switch nanosims easily. The caveat though is the phone is locally warranteed where you bought it in my case HKG.

^ thank you, will prolly get mine from the States and wait a bit more as it's cheaper there ($800) and i will not be forced to get a data plan from globe.
