^ Yung redness mo ba parang sunburn? or irritation. Look for a good moisturizer to use with tretinoin at night, and look for a broad spectrum sunblock :)

Some GT-ers shared their skincare routine alongside tretinoin, backread ka lang ng onti for their recommendations.

Yes similar to a sunburn. On & off ako sa Retinol, once nagsta start na syang mag peel ng madami I stop for awhile. I think I should try to be more patient sa panget phase nya for me to maximize the full effects of the retinol cream. I'm not sure if Tama yung skincare routine ko @ night I wash my face with any of my facial cleanser, then I put tsuya serum from shu uemura to minimize excessive flaking ng skin tapos I'll put-on my derma prescribed bleaching & then retinol. In the morning, I wash my face again Lang put sunblock then any liquid foundation or BB cream. I have super oily skin so laging hulas yung make-up ko & laging shiny face ko. Kung pwede Lang ma fast forward ko yung effects ng retinol.  :)

Back to using tret. Stieva 0.1%. I wash it off with water 20 minutes after application at night to minimize the redness and raw-skin-like effect. Working for me (read that tip here somewhere) :)

^^Skip the tsuya serum na muna sis, I'm not sure of the exact ingredients, but I think it has some skin renewing properties as well, which can be exfoliating your skin, and rendering your tret more effective/more irritating. Switch to a bland moisturizer, before or after applying your tret (personally, I prefer to apply mine 20-30 minutes after I've applied tret to make the tret properly sink into my skin and do its wonders, but you can do before to lessen the irritation.) You can look into cetaphil cream or physiogel AI cream, I find na these moisturizers work well with tret. The cleansers of both lines also suit those with sensitive skin using tret.

I also find that my skin is oilier when I use tret, I just make sure to us a mattifying sunblock to keep the oils as minimal as possible. :)

Thanks for the advise WWW  :) Right now may 2 pesky round brown patches around my two upper cheeks & Hindi pa rin pantay  the color of my face. I'm feeling the stretching of my skin which I believe is good so tiis tiis talaga. Il try not to mix my tsuya serum also. Do you think it's ok to use Dr. Jarts BB cream to tretinoin treated skin? Would it make it more oily?

^I'm not that familiar with BB creams as I generally find them too heavy. Pero I heard some people have had success with them. If you're using at as sunblock as well, make sure you apply the proper amount kasi skin tends to be more sensitive to the sun and prone to pigmentation when on tret + bleaching cream combo.

^^ never liked any bb cream. tapos parang lalo akong nagiging oily. para lang syang film na nakapatong sa face much like a physical sunblock you use on the beach.

Thumbs up for tret. After 2 weeks of breaking out, couple of bumps here and there, my purging stage hopefully, is now over.

Liking the texture and feel of my face now :)

Hmmm kaya pala minsan sobrang oily ng face ko, siguro kapag nagttret ako the night before. Now i know hehe. Anong gamit mong mattifying sunblock sis? May marerecommend ka ba?

Tretinoin cream comes in either of three strengths, 0.1%, 0.05%, or 0.025%.  The gel comes in two strengths, 0.02% or 0.01%.  The liquid one comes in 0.05% or 0.01%.

I use the hydroquinone bleaching cream that I get from my derma. I take oral gluta & gluta IV as well.
