im using tret din for like 2 months already, pansin ko lang nagkakaron ako ng discoloration sa forehead as in malapit sa hair line, normal ba yon? im only using it at night before bed, then sa umaga na ko naglalagay ng moisturizer and sunblock. May mali ba sa ginagawa ko?

Been using Retin-a for 2 months and recently lang ako nag micropeel.

^sis, are you using birth control pills? It can cause pigmentation din kasi. Another factor may be that your sunscreen is inefficient or you are not applying enough. Recommended dose kasi for just the face is 1/4 tsp, and when on tret, minimum of SPF30 ang required. This is actually quite tricky because not any product labelled as sunscreen will do. Certain ingredients of chemical sunscreens are often effective for only 2 hours, in this case you have to reapply or you may be susceptible to more damage than not having used sunscreen at all. May sunscreens din that are actually inefficient sa mixture of ingredients na walang saysay ang pag-gamit sa kanila. There's a full science behind it and it's really quite complicated.

^I'm not using AHA with my regimen now. Pero when I do, I use Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Cream, 10% AHA. I get it from the US. :)
Ang locally available AHA na alam ko is Godiva Fruit Acid Cream, but I'm not sure kung anong percentage ng AHA niya. Meron Din sa Derm E from Healthy Options, pero highest percentage is 5%.

depende sis ako kapag may lakad yung BB cream Dr. Jart spf 45 PA+++, then kapag maghahatid lang sa school ang gamit ko yung neutrogena pure for sensitive skin with titanium spf 60, sa bahay naman yung clear zinc spf 50 ..I agree with sis dito if you are using tretinoin di ka dapat gagamit ng mababang spf na lower than 30..it should be spf 30+ pataas.

When I was using Stieva A before, likas papaya soap lang ang cleanser ko. It was the only AHA that I use in my regimen and I found na it really helped. Pero I had very oily skin then kaya nakayanan, the combo is not advisable for those with dry, sensitive skins.

Ako naman gentle cleanser lang gamit ko pag nagtetretinoin like cetaphil or physiogel kasi parang ang harsh na pag soap pa ginamit ko..

wow sis, likas papaya gamit mo? . is it not harsh sa  skin?. since the time na nagpaderma ako hindi na kasi ako bumibili ng soaps sa market , or baby wash ginagamit ko. i'm pretty sure nag whiten skin mo nun sis? am i right? ..  ;D i wanna try that combo , but i have sensitive skin

Same here. I'm using mild cleanser like cetaphil no more soap.

^^very resistant ang skin ko kaya I can tolerate likas papaya, which can be very drying. In the morning, I apply either olay total effects or physiogel AI, sa gabi tretinoin, and then after 20 minutes physiogel AI cream. The AHA in likas papaya helps the tret get absorbed better by the skin, kaya it can also be very irritating. So for those na kahit na cetaphil and tret pa lang nakaka-experience na ng redness and sensitivity, it's not advisable.

Right now I use a vitamin A soap provided by my derm, which I can say is about 5 times more drying than likas. The first few weeks I was using it, parang binalatan face ko after maghilamos. Pero sabi ng derm ko, your skin eventually builds tolerance, and since may vitamin a ang soap and skincare regimen it increases collagen production and actually "thickens" your skin. :)
