if the chocolate bar has a high fat content, then yes you can use it. It's easier to temper and to be used for coating cake pops :)

pa iba iba kasi yung chocolate na binebenta sa baking stores. they have couverture, etc. read up on this : http://candy.about.com/od/candybasics/a/chocguide.htm

chicafabulosa, yung chocolate bar kasi na candy doesn't have the fat content or cocoa butter that makes the chocolate smooth and melts fairly quick than the candy we usually eat. and with that, it makes it easier to coat the cake pops. yes, you can use any cupcakes or even the fudgee bars you see in the groceries. And add a little bit of frosting to make it stick together when you roll them into balls.

^frosting is icing :D so anything you can use like whipped cream, or cream cheese frosting will do. If you'll use cream cheese, baka too thick and will not blend well cupcakes.

Sis,

I want to make a "pirate" cake pop for my son's birthday. San kaya ako makakabili ng edible writing pen?

Plan ko kasi i-draw na lang yung eye and eye patches. :)

Thanks!

Joining...got cake pops maker/mold last xmas as a gift but haven't used it, in fact, i haven't even opened it yet kahit ilang times na ko kinukulit ng kids ko. I'm glad i found this thread.  Dali lang pala.  Kailangan ko lang pumunta choco lovers to buy candy melts :) thanks for the tips :)

I make no-bake cake pops for my husband. I just use oreo cookies and cream cheese tapos I dip them in chocolate. Masarap naman and very easy to do! :)

buti nahanap ko tong thread na to. Nagkaroon kami ng orders before pero it was a disaster. Paguwi ko ng house send ko link. Pero sana noon ko pa nakita tong thread na to.

sis question pala diba after mo macruble yung cake tapos lagyan ng frosting. Tapos scoop mo siya to make a balls diba. Matigas na ba dapat yun? Or you have to put it in the fride para maging matigas yung cake balls? Thanks!
