Has anybody travelled here to singapore with a baby/toddler (2yo and below)? 
When i was trying to book for a taxi or private van, me disclaimer na not having a proper seat for the child may result to refusal of vehicle to accomodate the child, something like that... That's when i learned that singapore has strict car restraints/ car seats rule, pano ginawa nyo mga sis? Have you encountered such? Ang hassle namang magbaon ng carseat.

Re Shopping, mas mura ba Cotton On, Forever21, what else sa SG kesa sa Manila? We'll be staying at Fairmont Hotel, saan kaya pinakamalapit na merong stores na yan? Kung di naman [textspeak!] mas mura talaga ayoko na sadyain hehe Thanks!

^Changi Point (opposite Singapore Expo - MRT EXPO station), outlet ng lacoste, samsonite and other retail brands.   Fairmont hotel is just beside City hall station so you can take the MRT.

You can also visit Singapore Expo website regularly to check on the sale events happening on your stay here in SG.

Taxis are exempted from the child seat requirement, as it would not be reasonable or practical for them to carry the variety of different-size child seats suitable for children of different ages. Parents should take precaution and ensure that the child sits still and not jump about in the taxi. Just make sure na you will not seat in the front seat if you're with a toddler and most especially even when you're at the back passenger seat, wear your seat belts and don't let your toddler to stand inside the taxi.

^^^cotton on here is always on sale or meron sale racks. The only Cotton On outlet that I know here is the one at Anchorpoint. They have the most sale items there but hindi nagkakalayo ng stocks with the usual stores naman. Hindi outlet kasi yung CO na nasa Changi City Point. Check the one at Wisma and Somerset nalang. The one at Wisma is bigger than Somerset so you might want to check that one first. Halos magkakatabi lang naman ang mga malls na yan along orchard so it shouldnt be a problem.

Forever21 is CHEAPER in MNL. They have a store at Somerset and Ion just incase you want to check it out. Forever New (I think iba ang name nya dyan in MNL, yung store nya is at the new stretch of BHS, the one with Jamba Juice) here madalas rin nakasale. They have nice clothes and accessories.

Not all stores at Changi City Point are outlet stores FYI. But if you're after Nike, Adidas, Lacoste eh baka masulit ang trip mo. This is near Changi airport na kasi so I really won't recommend going here not unless you have a lot of free time.

In defense of Changi Point (MRT Expo), they have the same stores like that of wisma and somerset such as cotton on, charles and keith, hush puppies, bata, bossini and Fox apart from the outlet stores such as Esprit, G2000, Nike, samsonite or Lacoste (which are ridiculously cheaper than the one in Manila. 

All of which have sale items just like in orchard with more stocks and less people.  The difference is, everything is scattered in Wisma, Ion, Takashimaya, wheelock place and somerset as you need to go through each malls.

For samsonite, they sell the cheapest around (except for mustafa).  the xspace spinner i bought was priced at SGD250 (PHP8,350).  When I got home in Manila, I saw the same in Landmark at PHP16,500 and in samsonite store in Podium for PHP19k).

For the lacoste, my friends said it was way cheaper than in Manila.  I know the outlet mall in changi point sells for around SGD57 - SGD97 but i honestly do not know the pricing in manila so I cannot compare.

But I do agree though that it is ideal if you have the whole afternoon free to visit the place as it will take you around 20 minutes.  Ideal if its your last day in SG before flight.

^the reason why I really don't recommend going to CCP to tourists is due to the limited time they have here specially if it's just a 3-4days visit here

re: Samsonite or any luggages, cheapest is during luggage sales at Taka. My friend got his spinner for $199 if I remember correctly.  the huge delsey luggages were selling for around $169 - $200+. For Lacoste naman, yes it's cheaper here given that there's a discount or you buy from CCP or airport. Usual price for Lacoste shirts in MNL is 3,5k - 4k and up but this was years ago pa so I assume price is higher nowadays.

^yup i know, my family and i are usually at taka on weekends as they usually have good buys there specially at the talking hall area at B1 or even at the B2 area (food fairs or Taka square).

FYI for those going to USS this month, they have an ongoing promo with master card.

we love CCP!  kapit bahay lang din kasi ng ofc ni hubby.  madaming hindi outlet stores pero madalas din silang naka-sale.
para hindi masyadong sayang ang punta nyo sa changi city point, check nyo din kung anong event meron sa Singapore Expo.  like this weekend, may Asia Pacific Food Expo. daming masasarap na pagkain. madami ding free taste. hehe. ok na ok mag-food trip.  next week naman SITEX (IT Show ito).  madami ding freebies dyan kung may bibilhin kayo.

kung marami kayong free time, check nyo din yung mga mall sa ibang panig ng singapore (hindi sa city at orchard area). kasi marami ding stores dyan naka-sale. at SALE talaga! hindi mga 20% off lang.  or kung regular item bibilhin nyo, tingnan nyo kung meron sa Changi Airport. sayang din kasi yung 7% GST absorb nila.

(waaahhh!! hindi naman ako mukhang expert sa sale shopping. hahaha)

^ang sarap mamili sa nike dyan, i got my lunar glide 3 for $79 lang tapos mga gym tops $19 lang yung asia food expo ngayon d kasing ok compared nung last one. ok maghoard ng mga brown rice, lee kum kee or mga ingredients pag asia food expo super mura lang kasi.

hello po! wow! sobrang timely ang thread na to!... I'm currently looking for tips for our SG trip... Swerteng nakatapat ng promo kami nung friend ko, booked 1st wk ng Nov pero medyo tagal pa travel period, July next year pa! hehe... Anyway, i'm not yet done reading the whole thread pero so far been getting very useful info from u, girls! Pareho kaming 1st time pupunta ng SG (1st trip abroad namin, actually!) so you can imagine our excitement! =)

We'll be arriving there on a midnight, ang return flight namin ay midnight din... bale 2 days, 1 night lang kami... No hotel yet so if you can suggest something na OK but budget-friendly, I would really, really appreciate it! Tutal, 1 night lang naman kami tulog don... What do you suggest that we do when we arrive there? Kasi nga midnight yun... Sorry for the ignorance! SALAMAT  po! =)

i think comparable ang traveling times from SG to KL by plane and bus kasi if mag plane ka, you'll have to be in the airport 2 hours din prior to departure. then from airport commute again going to the city center pero pag bus they usually have ideal drop off points within the city na.

its also cheaper to travel by bus (there are cheapest bus at 30sgd daw) KLIA has airport charges din di ba?

Thank you!! I think pinaka hassle free nga ang bus. I was researching about travelling by train pero kailangan muna mag bus to jb para cheaper yung pamasahe. Mas kakaibang experience kasi ang train though mukhang mas hassle free ang mag bus. Thanks sa mga suggetions

^Depende, ano ba ang gusto nyo? 

If mga damit, I suggest Uniqlo, H&M, Cotton-On, those are the cheaper ones here in SG than in Manila in terms of branded clothes.  Although Forever 21 is indeed more expensive here.

Siguro you can say na american brands are more expensive here than in Pinas.  European and asian brands are the ones cheaper here than in PH(I think so).

For shoes naman its mostly almost all brands but the more gasgas is charles and keith.  If you have time there's an outlet of charles and keith and Cotton-on in Anchorpoint mall (right across Ikea alexandra)

If mahilig sa houseware and homefurnishings especially yung wala sa PH, sa Ikea.  They also have a restaurant na masarap. 

If mga pasalubong like keychains, tshirts and magnets, I suggest Chinatown and Bugis (or lucky plaza).

If mga branded sports apparel, talagang mas mura sa changi point (outlet ng lacoste, nike, samsonite, etc). 

So depende sa gusto mong bilhin.
