Ask ko lang po for those who have nook...how do you buy books from b&n? Diba hindi sila tumatanggap ng credit card from pinas?

^backread a few pages, there's a solution to that. you have to change your ip address on your computer.

^^ we have nook. our CC is from SG. pero yung address na nilagay namin sa CC, US address. dunno pero nag-work naman...

^nope, i had a nook color before. i couldn't buy books from the nook itself, but i could buy books from my laptop, provided that i use an app to change my IP address so b&n will see it as a US IP address. and i still used my PH-issued cc.

^ oic. i haven't tried buying paid books thru my nook pa. palaging from web using our B&N account. pero yung CC namin, SG issued (not US). hindi din kami nagpapalit ng IP addr...

i think one of us posted na the app that she used to hide/change the IP address to enable purchase from b&n. i just can't remember anymore since i'm now using a mac and i now have a kindle.

Mga sis help naman. How do you convert .jar files to mobi? And to epub? Pag extract ko kasi nagiging dat file hindi naman pwede sa calibre yun. I have no idea talaga. Thanks so much.

Nagka-issue ako sa kindle fire hd ko. all of a sudden hindi na nag-power on no matter what I do. Dahil 2 months pa lang, covered pa ng warranty kaya pinalitan nila ng bago  . Now that's service! My 2nd kindle works fine, mabilis ko rin na-transfer mga books ko agad sa 2nd device ko. With my 2nd  kindle,na-access ko na lending library! Hooooray!

depende sa eyes mo yan. malabo na mata ko eh and i wear eyeglasses with quite a high prescription+astigmatism correction.I find that in a dark room at night kahit walang bedside table lamp on I can read and browse with ease, you can always adjust the brightness naman. I've subscribed to various US magazines and ok din for me.

There are a lot of reviews out already. I read quite a few before i decided to purchase.

ok naman the reviews, i read personal blogs/reviews and i read reviews from gadget websites as well. if you need text-to-speech feature, which was available from previous kindle versions, paperwhite does not have it. i didn't care much for that, so it wasn't a dealbreaker for me. i'm really after the light e, but e-ink pa rin. i had a nook color before, it didn't hurt my eyes much, but i'm much happier with my kindle touch now. kaya when the paperwhite came out, even if my kindle touch is only half a year old, i purchased na. i'll get my hands on it by december.

^review ah sis!  i'm interested with the light. do you have to turn it on/off yourself or the device can sense the lighting conditions and adjust accordingly. mga ganun.

^sige sige, i'll post here when i get it. i think you have to manually adjust the light though. reviews say that there's really a big difference in the distribution of light compared to the nook glowlight.

^ hindi din siguro maganda na auto-adjust yung brightness ng glowlight or paperwhite. syempre iba-iba din tayo ng sensitivity to light.  sa glowlight ko siguro mga 5% lang ang brightness.
madami nga din ako nakita na review na mas maganda light ng paperwhite kesa glowlight. pero nook pa din ako. hehe

^ako din partial to nook talaga ako before, i had the nook color. when i went to the us, i was planning to get the nook e-ink in best buy, wala pang glowlight that time. but then i tried the kindle touch, i don't know, parang naging mas feel ko lang siya, haha. and i guess because amazon customer talaga ako. then the glowlight came out just a couple of months after i bought the kindle touch, i was so tempted to get that, because of the light. but then, there were rumors na of the paperwhite, kaya i opted to wait na lang. kanya-kanyang preference talaga 'no? my nook color now is with my bf, and he's happy with it naman.
