btw, kung reader lang naman, pwede naman pala idownload na lang yung kindle app sa smartphone, tablet, and ipad tapos pwede na rin bumili ng ebooks through that.

kaso iba pa rin yung effect ng light ng paperwhite.

next year na lang ako order kasi sigurado marami order this christmas

yung friend ko kindle 3 ata gamit niya nadaganan ng bf niya nasira so umorder na rin siya ng paperwhite. dec.19-22 pa dating ng kindle paperwhite ko ang tagal super excited na ko. it will be my first ebook reader

that's what i do, i have the kindle app on my iphone and ipad. so if ever i forget my kindle, at least i get to read pa rin on my phone if i'm bored waiting somewhere. it's all synced din kasi, even the page you last read.

who else bought kindle fire hd? mine will be here on the 23rd, bought it in amazon japan,it will be available on dec 19 pa,so it will be delivered 20-22,my cousin will be here on the 23. sana umabot! im really excited!

Coming from a kindle touch, the paperwhite is heavier specially with the amazon case. Nothing too uncomfortable for me though.

I'm currently loving the paperwhite. Sanay na rin kasi ako sa touch kaya no issue for me yung no buttons. I love the fact that I don't need a light when reading at night anymore. Super convenient for me. The text seems crisper too.

^it's not automatic. you have to adjust it yourself. easy-peasy lang naman. may light adjustment agad sa menu. just scroll up or down.

^ah so you can set it at lowest if may araw naman. iniisip ko kasi kakain din siyempre sa battery yung light.

^yup, yung lowest is parang off na talaga. i've been reading every night, and on and off during the day for the past week, around 75% pa rin yung batt ko. i don't turn off the light completely. ok pa rin talaga battery life ng kindle.

Yung Kindle keyboard ko is slowly dying. Nagkaron ng lines across the screen, at first isa lang, dumami na ng dumami. Now I can't read in portrait mode, I have to rotate it (landscape mode) to read. Sayang. Amazon was offering me a replacement (+minimal fee), but I have to ship my unit to the US. I figured it might be more expensive to have it shipped and replaced than to buy a new one.

Kaya ngayon, I'm eyeing a paperwhite. Hehe

I've been a Kindle Touch user since April and I love it but yeah hassle minsan kapag gabi magbasa nakakatempt tuloy yang Paperwhite.

sis gaano katagal na yung kindle keyboard mo? mine is kindle keyboard as well, i've heard other people with the same complaints, pero sa akin thankfully di pa nangyayari yun. sana wag mangyari ever.

from the video's i've seen they demo'd na it doesn't really turn off unlike the nook na you press the llightbulb icon and it will. as moonstar did say, it dims the lights lang but technically it's still on. reason ni amazon is that the light doesn't really affect the batt life of it so there's no need to switch it off totally.

i've seen both. i must say papewhite looks really nice. even the shape of the gadget itself looks more appealing than the nook, and the screen is crisper.

cons i would think is the price difference, paperwhite without ads costs more and plus the charger fee, whereas the nook glow  has everything inclusive without ads. ah one con rin with the glow i've read about was the quality may rare cases that a simple drop can crack the edge and the light will be glowing out of it, it may be annoying to have to replace it pag nangyari, i think they replace the item naman as long as you buy it from barnes. if you buy it from best buy or target you go through that store's warranty policy and not of bn.

 i'm still torn between the two but if you've been a kindle user from the get-go masaya si paperwhite i'm sure you'll be happy with it. feel ko lang mas maayos yung buttons ni nook glow and how you can turn pages, there's more freedom there. pero when you read on the paperwhite it really is nice pantay yung ilaw nya and comfy to hold in a way, it helps i think that the lights  sit at the bottom vs nook sa taas yun lights. basta its nice:)
