omg share ko lang mga sis. i just saw a wedding invite that says "We prefer gifts in envelopes." kaloka lang! surely there must be some other nicer way to phrase it. something more appropriate sana na hindi naman masyadong garapalan. kami din kasi  we plan to indicate din sa invites namin na we prefer monetary gifts. para mas may leeway kami on how to use the money to buy the things we really need to start our married life. mag-iisip pa lang din kami how to put it in a way na hindi naman tipong pera lang ang habol namin.  ;D

I will give them handkerchief  ;D kasya naman sa envelope yun or write them a letter about marriage and love.

Here's our sample of wedding invitation. 2 Politicians kasi yung sponsor namin eh! Councilor and Vice Mayor ng QC nabigyan namin.

Wedding Invitation

Mindali ko yan so yung design na vintage nakuha ko sa mga vector websites tapos I just re arrange all the layout and colors kaya time consuming rin. If you are proficient naman in any design softwares you can do this. Maganda naman kinalabasan sa photo paper.

Kung example ako rin yung ikakasal sa Church then I would prefer bridal registry na lang rather than maglagay ng monetary gifts. But of course for real we want monetary. The reason for bridal registry is that para hindi pare pareho ang gifts.

Is it really advisable na 1 hour early ang ilagay? Iniisip ko kasi pano yung mga matitino kausap na guests sa oras, if I put in 2pm kahit 3pm pa ang wedding baka mainip naman sila sa church.

^If you are close naman dun sa mga on time dumating you can inform them verbally or ask help from your h2b lalo na kung meron rin sa side niya na ganun. Though on the safe side maigi rin na hindi dahil baka kumalat. Honestly ganun talaga they should wait sa Church. Ako nga eh! dami ko nang experience of waiting before the ceremony meron pa nga 2 hours before the wedding. ;D So para lang talaga safe my suggestion there is to put 1 hour before time ng ceremony ng wedding mo.

Dapat mag lagay kami ng 30 minutes before kaso bad practice daw yun so we put "Starts exactly at" :)

^ how is this done sis? so for instance, 2:30 pm talaga ang start ng ceremony. pero i want to have a 30min lead time, so ang ilalagay ko sa invites ay "ceremony starts exactly at 2:00pm"? tia!  :D

You put the ceremony time so "starts exactly at 230 pm" lagay.
Di pwede gamitin ang phrase na yun kung lead time hehe so bad.

Fueling Filipino time kasi yung may lead time sa invites tapos as mentioned dito, may mga nagiging maaga pa (sometimes earlier than what's stated in the invite). It happened to us before nagutom lang kami ng bongga.

If you tell people lead time sa invite, kakalat at may malate.
Hindi din tama to make guests wait at the church. In some cultures that's very rude.

Kung mahal nila ang couple, they wouldn't miss the ceremony ::)

susundin ko sis castledoll ang sabi mo. :) thank you!!!

this is what is written on our wedsite:

As love is what the night is all about,
your presence is one we can’t celebrate without.
But should you still believe that a gift is worth giving,
a small envelope for our future is a delightful blessing.

However, if you prefer to purchase a gift,
feel free to surprise us in your own way.

yung best friend ko who is getting married 2 weeks before us, monetary gift din sila and  naka register din sila para sa mga gamit sa bahay. ginaya lang namen sila.  ;D
