For our invitation we booked Urbanista, they are cheaper than QP design kaya we booked them. Any feedback with Urbanista?

In my case naman kilala ko but then matagal na silang hiwalay ng mom ko and never naman kami sinuportahan in any way.

Siyempre after college thru FB, nahanap ko ang dad ko with the help of my cousins sa side niya. Then 2010 nag-meet kami twice after that wala na.

It's more of like to give respect to my mom and sa whole family ni mom for raising us well. Alam naman ng dad ko na ikakasal ako (thru my step brother sa kanya and sa FB posts ko) pero hindi naman siya nagpaparamdam so ayun. Nabuhay naman ako ng almost 20 years without him and I did my part as a daughter pero ganon talaga siya eh ;)

^Ohh i see.. in our case, h2b is hoping kasi na baka makita/magpakita pa daw dad niya. so kung isasama man namin sa invites ok lang sakin, no big deal naman for me. hehe

omg share ko lang mga sis. i just saw a wedding invite that says "We prefer gifts in envelopes." kaloka lang! surely there must be some other nicer way to phrase it. something more appropriate sana na hindi naman masyadong garapalan. kami din kasi  we plan to indicate din sa invites namin na we prefer monetary gifts. para mas may leeway kami on how to use the money to buy the things we really need to start our married life. mag-iisip pa lang din kami how to put it in a way na hindi naman tipong pera lang ang habol namin.  ;D

^pareho lang yun kahit gandahan pa yung wordings kasi etiquette says you should not put it not even the registry details daw ::)

I don't really mind though. Di ko pa natanong si Fiance kung ano gagawin sa invites namin pero we've been vocal about our preference. Sabi din eh pwedeng by word of mouth na lang.

you can use wording like this "If you were thinking of giving a gift to help up on our way, a gift that jiggle would really make our day. It would help us to start our married life and would save a lot of strife. However, if you prefer to purchase a gift, feel free to surprise us in your own way."

BUT do not include it sa invitations nyo. 1. it is rude. 2. nakaka turn off pumunta kapag ganun. 3. magmumukhang after the monetary gifts lang ang habol nyo. Best way na malaman ng bisita nyo yung tungkol sa preference nyo 1. through a wedding website or gumawa kayo ng fb page na andun lahat ang FAQ and all other details 2. word of mouth.

Your presence at our wedding is more than enough. However, if we are blessed to receive a gift from you, may we respectfully request a monetary gift, as we are still praying where our future residency will be. A gift of money will be more useful as we start our life together.

^ Yan nilagay namin sa invitation namen. I don't think there's anything wrong naman. So ano gagawin namen sa gamit pambahay? haha. We have to make sure na walang magbibigay ng rice cooker, etc. Kase sayang lang in pera nung nagbigay. :)

^  thanks sis. yun nga eh, the past 3 or 4 weddings ive attended had that indicated in their invitations. and hindi nman basta basta din yung mga couples na yun. may mga kaya din naman, yung iba pa nga lawyers. i will also attend another wedding soon, 25th anniv ng couple and renewal ng vows nila. they still indicated that in their invites kasi they are also based abroad. i guess iba iba talaga. but personally i dont think its a breach of etiquette. actually parang nagiging norm na nga sya because more couples are being practical about it. if at all, parang mas uncomfy pa nga ako to put it in a website or by word of mouth. hehe sorry mga sis na nag suggest nito. pero thank you din because of your suggestions, i get to know how you all went about in doing your own invites. na turn off lang talaga ako dun sa sobrang hayagang declaration na "we prefer gifts in envelopes". lol.  ;D

^ Haha. So sayang din hehe.

mga sis share ko lang yung nilagay namin sa invitations : Although we'd like a bunch of new stuff...Starting a new life can be rough...As we take the next step we'll be travelling soon...To a far place with limited room...Going to the mall may be fun for you...But we'll save you the trip and some cash will do!

aalis din kasi kami ni h2b after a month ng wedding. and when i started to inform my cousins about the wedding tanong nila agad kung ano gusto namin gift. sabi ko "ang mahalaga andun kayo"... but they insisted and told me "cash nalang mas maganda ate." so sa kanila na nangaling. and naisip namin ni h2b para di narin maabala yung iba kung ano ibibigay sa amin nilagay nalang namin sa invitation yan.
