Passport Thread 9 - Check first page for DFA's Website

I checked the DFA link, yung passport (dark maroon) namin ng anak ko bale e-passport na pala although walang chip na nakalagay  unlike sa husband ko na meron. He renewed his passport 2012 lang yung sa amin kasi June 2010.

^sis hindi kaya MRP lang yung passport nyo? Maroon din yung MRP and ang difference nya sa E-passport is mas darker maroon and merong sign ng chip yung e-passport. In any case you will still have to renew your passport since expiring na rin sya ng 2015.

Ok lang ba mag renew ng passport kung NSO birth certificate, NSO marriage contract, cedula at barangay clearance lang ang requirements na meron ako? Maeexpire na kasi sa May yung passport ko, gusto ko na mag renew at gamitin yung surname ng husband ko. TIA!

^^sis, merong chip sign sa ibaba yung passport namin akala ko design lang. Kasi  sa husband ko may chip talaga sa pagkakatanda ko kaya nagtaka ako nung nakita ko yung passport nya.

^ e-passport yung color maroon, na may image ng microchip (in gold color). And yung signature e scanned na, nasa first page along with your details and photo. Yung machine-readable e maroon din, pero walang image nung microchip.

yung birth certificate at marriage contract na copy from NSO, valid pa ba i present sa DFA kung 2012 pa kinuha sa NSO? plese pasagot, di kasi ako makapasok sa line. thank you

Mga sis, pajoin. I have 2 questions:

1) Who has tried renewing their passport kahit MALE yung gender sa NSO birth certificate? Need pa ba ulit ng affidavit since hindi pa nacorrect sa NSO?

2) Upon renewal, OK lang ba marriage certificate na lang ang ipresent at wala na yung NSO copy of birth certificate? My utmost concern is updating my maiden name to my married name since married name na yung nasa airline ticket ko.

had mine renewed na. 30 minutes lang and they did not get my birth certificate.

@khayzee, I read in the NSO website that DFA requires birth cert issued within 6 months.

@luscious_peach, one of our sisses here said that she although she brought her birth cerr only the marriage cert was taken by dfa but to be safe better bring one na rin.

sis balitaan mo ako here... kase same sila situation ng tatay ko.. di na Makita un passport nya.... kaya balak ko sana mag apply na lang siya as new hindi na renew... pwede kaya yun?! thanks sis...

@khayzee sis kakarenew lang ng passports ng 2 kids ko and we presented birth certificates from NSO which were issued last 2012 pa ok naman.

For me:
SSS Digitized ID ( I only have 1 ID, sabi kasi nila hindi accepted ang postal and Philhealth ID. ok lang ba?)
NSO Birth Cert
NSO Marriage Cert
Brgy. Clearance
TOR
Old College id
Old SSS E-1 form

For my 1 year old son:
NSO Birth Cert
NSO Marriage cert of parents

sa website nila may nakita akong "Affidavit of Consent and Support" for the minor applicants.
Kailangan ba talaga ito?

Thanks for replying sis. What a relief. Sana talaga di na nila kunin kasi di ko pa naayos and it will take months daw before macorrect yung gender sa NSO.  I'm planning to bring these documents upon renewal:

-NSO marriage certificate
-NSO birth certificate
-SSS digitized ID
- company ID
- NBI clearance

Follow up question, Is it OK if may nakalagay na NOT VALID FOR TRAVEL ABROAD ang NBI clearance? Baka dun pa ako maquestion e. Kakakuha ko lang kasi last month I was thinking yun na lang ipaphotocopy kesa kumuha ulit.

Question lang po mga sis, okay lang ba ang "barangay clearance" instead of the NBI(hassle kase kumuha, hehe)? Worry ko kase baka mandatory pala ang NBI clearance eh, pag nandun na bigla akong hanapan. (for new applicant) tia!

eto lang meron ako, sss new id, birth cert, marriage cont, old passport, pede na kya yan o kulang pa? may tin id ako pero single pa ko nun. help, ok na kaya yan?

income tax return na lang dalhin ko hindi na yung NBI clearance para di na maquestion. So I'm bringing these for renewal;  priority is change of my maiden name to married name:

Supporting documents:

-income tax return (2012)
-my son's NSO birth certificate
-trancript of records

I hope OK na yan first week of Feb na appointment ko e.

sis, bakit mabilis kayo? new or renewal? priority silang 2 dahil kay baby? nag sched ba kayo ng appointment o walk in? kasi 2 kayo.. kasi ang alam ko pag baby kahit walk in lang.. kasi yung baby ko (3months) at husband ko sabay kukuha ng passport.. yan yung iniisip ko kung need pa ba magpa-appointment.. at kung icoconsider din na priority si hubby kasi sabay nga silang kukuha..
