hi, i just made an appointment online. Pareho kaming new applicant ng baby ko who is just 1 year and 2 months old. Kailangan na ba talaga ito sa pagpunta namin sa megamall?

Notarized Affidavit of Support and Consent to travel from either parent (if minor is a legitimate child) / from mother (if minor is an illegitimate child)

and another thing, since pareho kaming new applicant, do i still need to prepare  2 copies of our NSO issued Marriage Contract?  isa para sa baby ko at isa para sakin?

^sis my baby and I applied for passport just yesterday, my baby is 1 year 1 month old. We have affidavit of consent and support but the dfa personnel did not get it, asar nga e, nag effort pa naman kami. Yung sa marriage contract, i have 1 copy of nso certified and 1 copy of certified from civil registrar i'm just not sure kung kinuha both kasi si hubby nagbibigay ng docs e while karga ko si baby. Sa Aseana pag courtesy lane automatic 1200 ang bayad ewan ko lang sa megamall. Excited na ko sa passport namin sana makapag travel abroad this year

How else would I know if i have an epassport? My passport number starts with XX pa. Machine readable lang ba 'to? Tia!

^ e-passport yung color maroon, na may image ng microchip (in gold color). And yung signature e scanned na, nasa first page along with your details and photo. Yung machine-readable e maroon din, pero walang image nung microchip.

nahihilo na ako because i see/read different things about the validity of the machine readable passport. until when lang ba talaga? my passport is still machine readable lang and sa 2015 pa expiry, i don't want to renew to the microchip one unless needed kasi sayang naman

^ sa pagkakaalala ko dun sa article, until Oct2015 pa naman. So sakto lang din sa usual renewal schedule ng passport for those issued ng 2009 or early 2010. Kasi ako, I renewed April or May 2010 and e-passport na ang in-issue sa akin.

^ i saw sa TV Patrol until october 2014 na lang daw then when I asked the immigration officer last month, sabi not sure exactly when but 2014 daw.

^Technically you still have until Nov 2015 to use the old passports (green and maroon) after that you have to apply for the e-passports already. But strictly speaking you can use these passports only until May 2015 since most countries require at least 6 months validity of your passport.

DFA Memo Concerning Validity of MRRP (green) and MRP (maroon) passports.

One can no longer apply for extension of their MRRP and MRP passports beyond Oct2014. But if your passport is still valid beyond that you can still use it until Nov2015.

Better to renew your passport way before the deadline to avoid the volume of people who will be renewing theirs too. Alam mo naman ang Pinoy mahilig sa last minute.

my father lost his passport years ago and he doesn't remember his passport number na and now he needs to get a passport ulit kasi he's invited sa 60th bday ng tita ko in canada..   when i try to book an appointment required yung passport number..pano kaya yun? diko naman makontak ang dfa laging all operators chuva chuva...

^sis, make sure he has all the documents required to present to DFA for his lost passport (you can check the DFA website for the lost passport docs requirement). As to making an appointment ang pagkakaalam ko kung senior citizen (assuming your father is one) no need to make one na since they have their own counter.

so pag senior na no need na magpa appointment? kahit wala pang sc id? and kahit di na valid passport na nawala need pa rin yung affidavit of lost? akala ko kasi para lang sa mga valid passports yun..

Sis, kapag may parang chip under PASAPORTE (sa cover ng passport). yun yung e-passport =)

for lost expired passports, you need to have an affidavit of loss. if lost valid, you need a police report. yun nga lang sa affidavit of loss kailangan pa rin ilagay yung details ng passport.

Tanong po mga sis, yung friend ko po kasi gustong sumama sa trip namin sa feb 25, pero ang passport nya yung green pa at matagal ng expired. Nakakuha po sya ng appointment sa january 22, pag rush po kaya sigurado bang makukuha nya ang passport in 2 weeks? Nakakahinayang kasi magbook ng plane ticket kung hindi pa ok ang passport.
