Passport Thread 9 - Check first page for DFA's Website

HI! We are about to renew our passport.  I just want to ask ilan ID ba talaga ang kailangan medyo nahilo lang talaga ako pwede bang SSS ID AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE /MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE and sa KIDS PWEDE BANG SCHOOL ID AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE na lang?  thanks!

Hello, tanong ko lang for new applications kami ni Hubby and 3 YO daughter ko. Plano ko sa Megamall kami mag pa set ng appointment, yung mga sisses natin dito from Single to Married ano mga nadala niyong IDs? Kasi yung akin 3 years married na ako, pero ang ID ko na may married name ko TIN (hindi pwede), NBI and previous company ID. Pwede na bang supporting document yung marriage certificate? As in yung lang? Or kumuha na ako ng barangay cert etc TIA

Isa pa, nagback read ako na may na hold na passport dahil sa "bangs" strict ba talaga sa picture? May bangs kasi yung 3YO daughter ko.

^my kids' renewed passports arrived today. The day on the delivery receipt talaga. These are their 3rd passports each. Now on to the next journey! =)

Regarding bangs, yes, they are strict, both my daughter's have bangs so I was asked to clip their bangs aside to show their full face. And only black bobby pins or hair clips are allowed. Pinaalis yung clips ng isang daughter ko cos they were pink n white.

^Meron silang mga bobby pins dun... Syempre wala naman akong dalang ganun. I just poured alcohol on them before I let the kids use them kc of course we don't know who used them na. =)

Last question, if new applicants do I need to pass the original copy of birth certificate and marriage certificate? Or dadalhin ko lang, ipapakita pero yung photocopy ang ipapasa?

sis although i was renewing my passport, they got my original NSO marriage certificate. The birth certificate
they gave back to me. It seems to me that for married applicants, yung marriage certificate talaga ang tinitingan nila. As for
children and single applicants yung NSO birth certificate ang kinukuha.

kelangan ba talaga "OLD EMPLOYMENT ID"? hindi pwede yung current company ID na gamit?

MGA SIS ask ko lang po aside from the list of acceptable id's kailangan pa ba ng supporting id's?  Thanks po

^yes, dalahin mo na lahat just in case.  but with my boyfriend's case, sa Galleria sya kumuha ng passport, new applicant.  birth certificate lang daw ang kinuha at tinignan.  wala pang 30minutes, tapos na sya.  that was on a Saturday pa ha.

Kudos to DFA Aseana.. bilis ng processing.. grabhe. First time to experience this treatment sa isang government office. Hindi nagtataray mga staffs  at very accomodating mga guards.. Dahil ba Foreign Affairs.. LOL.

Anyway, bilis lang talaga and yung queue sa labas ng office presko naman since sa may Macapagal Blvd yung area, mahangin. pero pagpasok sa loob for the 1st step, bilis lang.. :-)

mga sis kelangan pa rin ba atleast 3 supporting docs kahit may 2 acceptable id? yung kapatid ko kasi new applicant sya. meron syang driver's license and old college id. supporting docs nya tor/diploma and voters id lang. need pa ba dagdagan yung supporting docs?

Sa mga parents who got passports of their kids nung mga babies pa sila, may rule ba na kelangan mag-change na ng passport yung bata pag medyo malayo na sa baby picture nya yung itsura nya. My daughter is turning 3 years old and her passport pic was taken when she was 5 months pa lang.

^^sis, bring all supporting documents na lang to be safe. Kaysa magpabalik balik ang brother mo.

^parang wala naman yata ganun rule. Passport din ng mga anak ko, walang bahid na sila yung nasa photo, wala naman question nung umalis sila ng bansa nung Sept.

^thank you sis. other supporting documents that he has are land title, [textspeak!] ng anak nya and form 137. ok na kaya yun? nagemail kami sa dfa and they're not responding naman eh this thursday na yung appointment nya.

I had my passport application at DFA Megamall last year. Ang bilis lang, nagpa online appointment lang ako then nun pagdating ko sa venue mismo, less than 1 hr tapos na ko. Though it was a weekday, scheduled 4pm. Malamig pa. Haha onti lang tao, not crowded.

sisters, mas okay ba kung mag set ng sched online or tawag nalang sa hotline? how long before maset ang sched? my husband needs to renew his passport coz might leave for sg next month, abot kaya? tia!
