Passport Thread 9 - Check first page for DFA's Website

Hubby got his passport last week Thursday while I got mine and our 5-mo old today. Renewal kami ni hubby and new passport for baby. Our appointment was last apr 29 at dfa megamall.

Supposedly release nga may 21 pa.

Hi, guys! I'd like to know if okay pa gamitin 'yung passport ko. Nabasa kasi siya, the upper part is faded na. 2016 pa naman expiry niya. Pwede pa kaya 'yun or dapat na palitan?

Sis imblack ang alam ko hindi na. Me mga mahigpit na consul na ihohold ka sa immigration na pupuntahan mo.
Experienced namin sa renewal sa dfa macapagal terrible! To think courtesy lane pa kami nyan dahil kasama namin 4months old baby lasy may 9 appointment namin. From 1pm -3: 30pm kami natapos. Pagod na pagod mga anak ko. Panu me nakasama sa courtesy lane na mga dalaga na. Nakakagulat. Nakuha na namin passport now via lbc.

I'm trying to book an appointment for the renewal of my passport. Parang may topak yung system,
error ng error. Is it better in megamall ba or galleria? I have a friend working at the megamall branch
but i dont know if he'll be able to help me. Lumalabas talaga sungay ko if I line up beyond 2 hours.

Use to be really easy for me  to renew(in 30 mins or less and im out the door) because my father is a government employee kaso ngayon married
na ako. Hindi na pwede. Boooo!!!

Yes, i went to DFA and had my passport checke and sadly I had to renew my passport and pay again. Sayang kasi I had it rushed way back 2011 kasi i thought matutuloy ako sa maldives. Never used it pa naman. Had to pay again and do all the process. Haba pa naman ng linya, been there for 5hours. Sige na lang.

hi, my husband will renew his passport. His passport is Machine Readable pa (Maroon) and one of the requirement listed is NSO Birthcertificate but its not mentioned if Original or Photocopy.

For those who already renewed their passport what did you bring? Original or Photocopy?  thanks

^sis, ako i brought both orig and photocopy pero Hindi naman hiningi, photocopy Lang ng old passport
Ang kinuha.  Pero yung Kay hubby for some reason nanghingi ng photocopy ng birth certificate I think because they wanted to verify na san Fernando, pampanga talaga ang birthplace niya. Weird Lang.

mga sis pa help naman,

we're leaving for hongkong this august 10, and today we received my husband's NSO birth certificate. however, mali ang spelling ng name niya, the correct name should be CHRISTIAN VERSOZA, pero sa birth cert, naging KRISTIAN VEROZA.

if we have the nso brith cert corrected sa civil registrar, it will take months, hindi aabot definately.

what can you suggest mga sis? use nalang his wrong name sa birth cert? my problem is the supporting docs kasi all of his ids are in his correct name.

I suggest ipa extend nalang the validity of his current passport. Unless he doesn't have one.

hi sis,

naku, yan din prob ng tita ko, umpisahan mo na iprocess, 2-3 months processing yan, kaya yung sa tita ko di na talaga siya makakasama samin kasi we're going to HK on July na

punta kayo sa Local Civil Registrar nyo, bring all supporting docs na may name ng hubby mo (IDs, license, etc etc) then petition for change of first name yan.. then ipapa publish pa yan sa local newspaper for 2 weeks (it will cost 3000 pesos) then ipapadala nila sa NSO legal services division sta mesa for approval (dun daw natatagalan talaga kasi madaming cases na ganyan, ifollow up na lang dun mismo pag napadala na) then sila na mag forward sa NSO, tpos after nun saka ka lang makakakuha ng NSO birth certi with the correct name po..

kaya much better na iprocess mo na now na!

company id kasi sis kasali sa valid id, di pwede as supporting ang postal and tin? sa requirements kasi nila they only need 1 valid id.

Mga Sis help naman:

Nawala kasi passport ko, pero expired na yun noong april pa so irerenew ko na sana kaso nga di ko na maalala kung saan ko nilagay. paano ba ang gagawin kung lost passport? second problem ko naman since bagong kasal lang ako at wala pa akong ID as married okay lang ba kung single parin ang ilagay ko sa passport? ^kailangan mo sis ng affidavit of loss tapos parang new application na rin ang mangyayari. not sure about sa 2nd problem mo, pero siguro kahit wala ka mga id try mo pakita marriage certificate kung hindi pa rin pwede dun mo na lang tanong kung possible na single na lang lagay mo.

^^ sis, you can still choose to retain your single name sa passport, no problem. If gusto mo mag-change to married name, kelangan ang NSO-certified marriage certificate.

I also do not have any ids with my hyphenated married name. what they need lang is marriage
certificate. And they also let you choose what name you want. You may retain your maiden name
yet change your civil status.

atleast 1 government id sis except yun tin need nila un digitized tin id not yun dilaw tapos pwede na company id then un nbi
