Passport Thread 9 - Check first page for DFA's Website

^yes sis, need siya for the picture. We just applied passport for our baby. Our appointment was last Monday at dfa megamall.

renewed our Passports at DFA Aseana. My sister and I were scheduled at 4pm, so we were there around 3pm so as not to be late. Unfortunately, the guard was C-R-A-N-K-Y. Nagtatatnong lang naman ako if sa gate ang pila or sa loob, biglang nagsungit, "Ay 4:00 pa kayo. mamaya na nga kayo magsiharang dito!" And then she shoved my paper inside my bag. Sabi ko pa,  "Ang sungit naman parang nagtatanong lang"

Eventually nakapasok narin kami and ok naman inside. Mejo maraming tao lagn sa tent. Pero most of the time nakaupo naman kami kasi parang yun ata yung queueing system nila. Ironically, may tarpaulins pa sila that says "We serve with a smile." Oh well, maybe mejo mainit lang talaga kaya nagsungit yung ate dun.

Fast track, mabilis naman by 5:30pm we were done with everything---picture taking nalang talaga. Ayun ang mahaba ang pila. Serving at 2478 sila and we were at 2991.  Mejo uubos patience mo, but what the heck andun narin naman. We were done by 8:30pm. Ideally, ours was to be delivered by May 8, but my sister's was held for photo. Kasi daw may konti pang bangs sa forehead. Eh tinanong naman that day kung pwede na. The person who assisted us said ok na yun. I dunno, either cleared talaga sa kanya or nagmamadali lang sha umalis.

I guess better naman yung system this time around as compared to the old one. Yun lang talaga, kelangan you know how to answer and may attitude when their officers assist you. If not, may tendency na di nila i-process. (Just an observation dun sa mga nakasabayan ko that day.)

Mas ok ba magapply ng new passport for the baby sa Sm Manila kesa sa macapagal?pwede naman courtesy lane ang infant dba? Salamat sa magbibigay ng information

I recently applied for my 5-mo old. Yes, priority lane ang infant. Less than 2hrs tapos kami but this is at dfa megamall. Pati sa cashier we didn't have to line up. Sinabay na rin namin ni hubby ang renewal ng passport namin so every 5 yrs sabay kami palagi

i think pwede naman i-courtesy lane ang babies/infants.. when I was there, pinapa akyat kasi sila sa 2nd floor, separate area sha, andun din naman lahat.smaller area as compared to the normal processing area nila. =)

if I have existing passport na under my maiden name, renewal pa rin po ba yun if i-adopt ko na yung surname ni hubby sa passport?

for me as long as you have an ID pa with your maiden name pwedeng hindi irenew.

thanks sisses sa mga nagreply. will give feedback rin sa thursday na ang appointment namin pero sa dfa macapagal, pinagiisipan ko sanang lumipat ng sm manila baka kako mas mabilis.  but then ituloy ko na sa macapagal. thanks ulit

^sis, nung sinamahan ko si MIL sa DFA Aseana meron kaming mga nakasabay na mga minors. Hassle-free naman. Appointment ni MIL is 9AM pero maaga kami dumating before 7:30AM. Pinapasok kami sa Gate 3 (dun din pinapapasok yung mga may kasamang bata) tapos pinapunta na kami sa 2nd floor. Hiwalay yung area ng senior citizens and minors sa regular applicants.

Mabilis lang kami natapos probably because maaga pa. Siguro agahan nyo na lang ng punta para mabilis din since habang lumalakad yung oras dumadami na rin yung mga aplikante. Syempre mas tatagal na yung processing.

mga sis san ba located yun DFA SM Manila? sa loob ba ng mall building? or around the vicinity? sorry no idea.. and is it necessary na sa long bond paper i print yung application form..sa short ko kasi ni print and it fit naman..thanks

^sis, sa loob siya 5th floor beside worlds of fun amusement center. sa long bond paper siya dapat iprint sis, kahit kasya sa short. better to follow the instructions kesa mareject application mo. sayang naman.

any idea if i can change and how will i change my signature in my passport masyado kasing childish yun signature ko sa current passport ko confused kasi ako non when i took my passport kasi i got married then i have to change my signature to married name  kaya lang ayun masyado childish gusto ko sana palitan..and my passport will expire on 2015 i plan to renew it this year on december kasabay ng pagpalit ng signtaure , is that possible?..tia.

Hello po, Pwede pa po ba mag walk in sa DFA? ang pinaka latest po kasi sa schedule June 04 na ngayon ko lang po nakita na expire yung passport ng anak ko bale may ticket na kami sa june 20

We were at DFA megamall last May 8. It took 3 hours for us to finish everything from processing to cashier to encoding because there were a lot of people. I don't know if the brown out had anything to do with the long waiting time but it took more than an hour for us to get called for processing and another hour for encoding. Good thing there were roving trainees checking requirements prior to getting called for processing so requirements are ready to be presented na lang when you are called.
If walang mahabang waiting time, the whole procedure will take around 30 minutes lang kasi mabilis lang naman magcheck ng requirements, konti lang din ang line sa cashier and mabilis lang din naman ang encoding. Waiting time lang talaga ang matagal.

Ang bilis ng release ng passports ng mga kids ko. We went sa DFA Macapagal for renewal ng Tuesday Nakuha ko na today. Ang bilis lang pala ng releasing although nagpa expedite kami. dagdag bayad nga lang.
