@ shopaholic_in_rehab and najine - wala ba kayong indications with your long time BFs na Hindi sila para sa inyo? I'm just asking. Baka magka age kayo at di pa sila mature?

Just asking kasi minsan God has His ways of intervening. Mine naman nauwi nga sa kasal, laki pa gastos sa wedding, hiwalay din in the end. Gastos pa ulit sa annulment. So it might be for the best kaya di kayo nagkatuluyan.

There were indications pag ngayon ko iisipin pero binalewala ko lang during that time dahil siguro suoer mahal ko and tinanim ko na or shall i say pinilit ko na sa utak ko na na he is the one for me. He's 9 years my senior, mid 40's  during our break up so i guess super mature na. Pero wala pala sa maturity yon.

nakakakilig naman yung story mo amethyst028. hehe and tama ka sis. super nakaka turn on pag hindi bastos, or obvious na hindi lang sex ang gusto sayo. madami din nagchachat sakin na may gf pala tinatago lang. but I'm also not losing hope. kasi madami na din ako kabatch nung highschool na hindi pa din married. I also tried tinder and badoo. kaso nawala yung tinder, ayaw na gumana. yun pa man din pinaka favorite ko lol! in terms of meeting up naman, I'm also scared pero pipilitin ko lakasan loob ko.

I also don't have friends din masyado and Im not that sociable. kaya dating apps talaga! haha anyway, Its nice to know that Im not the only one kahit na di pa ko 35 up. hehe pero nasa 30s pa din

one of my friend told me kapag gusto mo makilala ang lalake magbackground check ka talaga.

Sis sorry with your experience. Nothing wrong siguro in expecting.

And sis, huwag ka sana magalit but I agree dun sa GTer na nagcomment na you assumed. It's ok to assume he is interested - obvious naman siguro with flowers and asking you for dates. Pero to assume that he loves you and willing to spend his life with you (faithfully), Eto ang never natin dapat I-assume. Kasi iba na mga lalaki these days. Kaya dapat cautious ka not to fall for them at the same time need mo sila kilatisin kung ano ang nasa Isip nila, intention at saloobin.

Is your case Yung gay ba na guy? Hayz. Di bale just move on. Look around, I'm sure Meron iyan.

Siguro kasi you're just thinking about the nice love scenes sa movies and recalling your good experiences in relationships. How about the Not-so-good experiences with your exes? The other problems and issues - they all come in a package.

Kaya we need to be strong and independent. Kung meron, good. But if he turns out to be an *sshole, be ready to protect yourself and walk out. Kung wala naman, ok lang din. Life can still be wonderful without them. Dami kaya puede magawa and ma-experience.

It's good to know na see sis like you who are not afraid and enjoying dating apps.  I used to do that kaso after my break up last year parang nawalan nako gana magbalik sa dating apps.  I tried again recently thru the suggestion of a friend kaso wala pa talaga 24hrs nagdeactivate na ko feeling ko nabobored na ko hahaha.  Guess right now I will make myself busy for other things and hayaan ko na lang muna si lovelife sa tabi kahit pa nakaka irita na ang mga panunukso sakin ng mga nakapaligid sakin regarding my single life.

i have a lot of single friends who are in their late 30's and early 40's and 50's still looking for love. what i noticed about them is they are actually very choosy. i tried to set them up with guys i know who are also looking but they don't want the guys.

i was like that before, i was single for so long because i'm waiting for the right guy. the one i have in my head. and every where i looked and who ever came along couldn't compare to my ideal guy. so i decided to change my perception and be more realistic in my pursuit.

the guy i'm with now is very far from my ideal guy. he is 9yrs. older, bald, not tall, average looking and skinny but he is very smart, responsible, makes a lot of money, caring, honorable, loves his family, a good provider and good father to his son, he is very attentive to my needs, trustworthy, and so much more. i grow more and more in love as i got to know him.

i turned him down a few times over the years. we are fb friends for 5yrs. or more and he would make several attempts to ask me out but i wouldn't even reply to his messages coz he is not my type physically. until early this year he asked me out again and i thought to give him a shot.

my advice is to look deeper. give people a chance because you never know. they guy you are ignoring might turn out to be the right guy for you. life is full of surprises.

Thank you for sharing this sis, and good to know that you have found the guy who has and still is making you happy.

I have friend like that and she is consistent in telling us na hindi naman ganoon kataas standard niya or that she is really choosy.  But I do agree that if we won't give a chance for someone then we won't know if he is that person for us.

Guess its a good thing na hindi pa umaabot sa ganyang stage ng family and friends ko, though they keep teasing me that they will set up me with this and that but they are just words.

For me it's not that we tend to be choosy or with a high standard, its more on that pag set up both side will be pressured to give their best baka mapahiya si friend or si tita  so it did not end up as expected thats why very few yung successful matches.

I'm 32 already and turning 33 this year. Feeling ko single pa din ako when I reach the age 35 hahaha.

I never had a bf (saklap).

Tatanda ba ko never ko man lang naexperience mainlove and mahalin? :(

I know someone na in fact very pretty, super ligawin lalo na noon, she's younger than me ng 2 years, so I think papunta na din sya ng 30s, whenever magkaron sya BF super tinatago nya sa socmed ayaw daw nya i-post muna if di pa naman sure and di pa stable. She dates often naman, pero wala tumatagal.

My observation, bukod sa medyo may "dominant" factor sya dahil nga maganda, smart, cool, sexy, independent sya at lahat na, masyadong pihikan, gusto perfect yung guy/relationship medyo may attitude problem si Girl, masyado mahirap i-please and mabilis ma-turn off.

She's a friend, though not too close naman.

Until lately, parang isa na sya sa nakikita kong nagpopost ng memes na tipong "my friends are all falling in love and settling down and here I am falling asleep . . ."

I swear she's hot, super dami nagkakagusto, tapos magcomplain na tatanda na sya magisa. Not saying na she should lower down her standards, but, she has to realize na wala naman perfect talagang tao.

Sabagay can't blame her, kung walang spark, what can we do?

As of writing, medyo "nalosyang" sya sa tingin ko, and she's not as pretty as before, so mas lalo ata nagslim chances na mas maging datable sya kasi babaw/pangit man pakinggan most men gets attracted to a girl kung visually pleasing si latter huli nalang yung attitude and compatibility.

She stops going out too, puro work bahay na. I guess nadrepress na sya talaga.

My two cents lang and unsolicited advice, if you want to meet someone, you really need to put yourself out there and give men/love a REAL chance.  :D

^^Not super hot here but I tend to be like her. Hindi naman ako choosy. I just don't give guys enough chance to prove themselves. Unang impression pa lang ayoko na. I have lots of date invites and I can go on dates for every single day of the week if I really choose to. Kaso nakakatamad minsan...LOL! Happy din naman ako being alone kasi I have a son that keeps me busy. There are times lang that I would like a regular textmate or someone to go out with when I want to do adult stuff.

Sis the first time a man gave interest in me, when I turned 32.  I was confused sa feelings ko kasi parang hindi ko siya kayang paniwalaan na may nagka interest sakin and hind ko yun inaakala  that I think I screw things up.  When another man came I thought it was right to give this man a chance kaso and ending yung pinakaiiwas iwasan ko naloko lang ako.  So now I have doubts on myself and then on if love is really for me.

So I think pray for a man you deserve that will make you believe you will be together hanggang sa pagtanda mo.

You are not alone hindi lang masyado pa open mga singles on their 30th and above pero may malaking % din sila sa community =)  I still have friends like you 35 above and  never pa nagka bf thankfully they are enjoying naman yung pagiging single =)

hi, fellow singles. *waves* been single for more than a decade. almost the same number of years as my stay with my current company. ayoko isipin na baka na-curse ako ng workplace ko pero mukhang ganun nga. ahahaha!

seriously though, ang naramdaman kong nangyayari sa akin is when i like someone, nagtutunnel vision na ako and do not entertain anymore. eh malas naman lahat ng nagustuhan ko -- six men since my last relationship, ni walang isang nagkagusto. friends told me bilang hindi naman reciprocated ang feelings ko, i should have opened myself up pa din. ang nangyayari kasi baka di ko mapansin yung iba kasi fixated nga ako. maybe it's a flaw, pero hindi ko naman kasi magawa. di ba pag may gusto ka, siya yung nagiging barometer mo na ano dapat ang guy na mapasayo. eh natatawa na nga lang ako pag over na ako sa feelings ko eh -- meron maliit sa akin (as in 3 inches smaller than me who is only 5'3"), may guy na super chubby (as in patandain nyo si Russell sa Up), may sobrang *censored* na dati addict pa (painkillers lang, that time feeling ko sya si Dr House ko, leche)...na that time, head over heels ako, hahaha. kaso lahat wala eh. zilch.

i like someone now...again. parang switch na na-on lang. tagal ko na syang kilala at somehow kaibigan. may days i'm super jaded. na alam ko ang ending nito, wala, rejection na naman, baka masira pa ang friendship. pero minsan tao lang...and nakakalungkot talaga, so umaasa na naman, for the nth time. such is life. kaya kapit lang tayo, ladies. we'll never know.

Pinagdadasal ko na sana may makilala pa rin akong matinong lalake pero kung yung will ni God eh maging single ako for life, pinagppray ko na sana matanggap ko yun at maging kuntento sa buhay.

I am 29 na sis and I am in  long term relationship, eto lang naging boyfriend ko ever and may 1 baby na kame but still not married. If I were in your shoes, I would be really thankful na nakalayo ka dun sa last bf mo, just think, what if siya naka tuluyan mo and manloloko pala siya,  mas mahirap kumalas (like me..lol)
Take your time sis, don't be jealous sa mga kakilala mo sa facebook na may mga jowa. 27 ka palang wala pa nga sa 35 to be alarmed ng ganyan. :)

I'm not yet 35. Lol.

I'm two years out of a longterm relationship. Syempre I thought he was the one until ayun dalawa pala kaming the one nya at yun ang napili niya. After our breakup, I got really depressed and my self-esteem was really at an all time low.

Hanggang ngayon pakiramdam ko napakapangit at kapalit palit ako. I'm trying to work on this and tried to date again but all the men I meet are just a-holes.

Little by little, I'm trying to psyche myself that I'm going to grow old alone. I'm out of my second job right now. Kaya pinprioritize ko muna na maging financially secure ako and just enjoy the fruits of my labor by traveling.

I miss the feeling of being loved and giving love in return.

Pinagdadasal ko na sana may makilala pa rin akong matinong lalake pero kung yung will ni God eh maging single ako for life, pinagppray ko na sana matanggap ko yun at maging kuntento sa buhay.

Hello sis! Tama si naizlabonita, take your time, I too, hindi pa 35, I just turned 26 palang, and recently lang ako ulit nagkaboyfriend. It took some time bago ako nagka boyfriend ulit. my latest ex, we've been together for 3 years, medyo matagal tagal na rin yun kaya when I got out, parang at first I enjoyed being single, then after some time, I felt lonely and unloved, I assume na dahil sa I used to have someone to celebrate things with. Pero despite that naman, I regained my connections with my friends, yun bang, I had more time with them and realized that I didn't need just ONE person to make me feel loved. I have my family, too, who showered me with attention and love. And ayun, cliche man, pero kusa syang dumating. Sabi ko nga, kaya siguro hindi sya sakin binigay ni God before kasi parang I wasn't ready and sure back then, pero now na super ready and sure na ako, binigay sya. Right timing lang talaga. And I know you'll have yours too. :)

^ problem sa society natin, being an "old maid" is taboo.  Eh ano naman ngayon kung single ka pa 35yo+ but a lot lot prettier and HAPPIER than the ones in their 20s or married 30yo+???

The important thing is you should be happy with yourself.  Kahit anong tawagin nila satin, we should always look fabulous!  Inggit lang nila.  ;D

I would agree with you sis. Sabi nila sakin, I get more gorgeous and prettier as I age. Di halatang 35 na ko. Hahaha! So thank you na lang lagi sagot ko.

Anyway, on topic, I just recently broke up with my ex. I was single for 3 years bago ko siya nakilala. I have dated some guys naman in between pero siya pinili ko dahil he did something special that caught me off-guard. Yung ibang nakadate ko they're not into commitment eh. I am no longer at that stage na ok lang casual relationship. Akala ko siya na, pero hindi pala.

You know at 35, I could feel too much pressure na to settle. I even have this thought na baby muna and bonus na lang if I met someone na papakasalan ko. Not that I'm setting my standard low but I'm just being practical.
