^ang cute ng story mo sis hehe. But actually pwede rin na ang lesson ng story mo is just be your natural self. Wootwoot! Congrats sis! 😃

^thanks sis! actually hindi rin naman kontodo outfi, tumaba kasi ako i gained 30lbs. kaya gabi pa lang nag iisip nako ng outfit that will make me look slimmer. hahaha! nung 96-100lbs. lang kasi ako last minute nako pumipili ng outfit kahit anong kunin ko sa closet bagay. unlike nung time na jumubis ako lahat masikip sakin.

i guess that's a factor too. nung hindi ako happy with the way i looked parang hindi rin maganda yung aura ko. medyo nega rin siguro tsaka parang ang tamad tamad ko madali ako mapagod. now i lost 15lbs. na near my old weight. kaya siguro pati aura ko positive and mas masaya ako kasama at kausap. mas confident rin ako with myself. and my nothing to lose attitude kasi wala na talaga ako paki kung di niya nako i-text ulit.

^^ Ganda ng kwento mo sis! Sana mag tuloy tuloy na yan :)

I'm curious, how do you girls find dates? I know some use dating apps. Ganon din ba kayo? I've never tried any dating app (I'm too chicken).

^ friends, colleagues, join groups/activity groups

Not that you're looking for dates, just go out and enjoy meeting new people, babae man o lalaki. Not only you will have new friends, potential dates din.

Never tried online, takot din ako. Sabi nila swertihan din kasi psg online. Ako I would rather date someone na kakilala ng kakilala para somehow higher chances na walang topak.

Then make known you are available. That means telling friends na you are open in meeting new people. Of course di naman Yun lang ang sasabihin mo, subtely tell them kapag napag usapan. And I Guess somehow people know, if you appear available din.

Then once you date one, don't expect na kayo Lang forever and ever.  Just enjoy the company as friends. Then move on to the next. Date lang ng date, nothing serious. Then eventually sila din naman mag ask ng 2nd date if they're interested. If not, ok lang, just move on.

^^thanks sis! Yup we met sa dating apps. Sa dami ko nang nasalihan nang 3yrs. Of being single pwede nako maging dating app guru. Haha! Pati sa dami ng dates i've been kabisado ko na at hindi na talaga ako kinakabahan tuwing meet ups. In my experience most na mga na meet ko professionals wala lang talaga sila time to meet new people in person kaya they are trying those apps.

^thank you sis. Yes a positive outlook is a big factor kasi nag e-enjoy yung kasama mo sa company mo.

Update ko lang, he asked me to be his gf. Sabi niya "i'm a simple guy and i know what i want. And i want you. I want to move this dating further. I want a serious relationship".

Tsaka may anak ako. He respected it naman. It won't change the way he feels about me daw.

I guess that's what i learned. You will meet someone na kahit anong gawin mo, kahit sino ka, kahit ano ka pa gusto ka lang nila. Hindi mo siya ma e-explain. The guy will pursue you, wala ka nang kailangan gawin. And to him you are perfect. So don't make excuses for guys na kesyo baka ganito lang, ganun. If they want you they will make it happen. Gagawa iyan ng paraan to be with you.

^^^ I don't think I'll have the guts to try online dating. I've been out of the dating loop for so long, nakalimutan ko na yung feeling na may date.

^^ Good for you sis!  I hope that if you feel he's good for you, you'll go for it. But of course, major (if not primary) consideration yung kid mo.

I tried online dating pero nauunahan ako ng takot ^.^ Im abroad kasi so medyo hirap maka-meet ng guys here na same age and walang asawa especially sa middle east.
However may naging bf ako for many years na through social site ko lang nakilala. I met my fiance through online din. I guess the difference there was, through online dating the objective is to find "someone" whereas social media, you are meeting people in general. amethyst' story is quite inspiring, that dating sites can work talaga for some.

thank you mga sis! hindi naman nakakatakot ang online dating nasa iyo naman kung sino mga kakausapin mo. and regarding meet ups piliin mo naman and do it in a public place. mostly professionals naman nakaka meet ko. may lawyer, engineer, architect etc. hindi naman mga hoodlum or bum sa kanto.

last time i checked my profile dun sa site message full nako. i didn't check the messages na nakalagay lang message full.

as for the guy i'm seeing he is a foreigner based in hongkong pero mixed spanish, indian and greek siya. he's a business man. he's now looking for a condo to buy in makati para dito na tumira. matino naman. pinakita niya sakin ang current place niya and ni dulo ng daliri ko hindi hinawakan. after we met last saturday nag text na he was going to offer his place para dun na raw ako matulog kasi super late na but he doesn't want to give me the wrong idea. napaka gentleman niya. talagang mauuna iyan pag may door para ipag bukas ako, pag dumating yung food lalagyan niya plate ko, ipag sasalin ako ng tubig or lalagyan ng ice baso ko. pag may dala ako bitbitin niya talaga kahit isang pirasong folder lang. nag uber ako kasi tinamad ako magdala ng car and talagang nakatingin lang siya hanggang umalis yung car na sinasakyan ko. kahit 2 or 3days ago pa lang kame last na nagkita sinasabi niyang parang sobrang tagal na raw and he wants to see me more often so now nagpa sched na every friday and sat daw kame magkasama.

possible naman talaga makahanap kahit saan but online dating allows people to meet na kung sa real life e hindi sila pwede magtagpo. like kame, he lives in makati i live in fairview. businessman siya so wala siyang exposure sa mga tao ako businesswoman and wala rin exposure. kung hindi dahil sa online never mag cross ang landas namin. yun lang po. bow!

^^not yet sis. i'm still getting to know him. i also told him na yung next relationship ko hopefully yun na yung last. ayoko na mag umpisa ulit that's why i'm taking my time and i guess doon mo lang din naman makikita kung talagang totoo ang intentions if he sticks around.

^haha sis! i felt that i need to share my story so i can inspire our other sis here who are in their 30's na kailangan rin natin mag take ng chance. sabi nga parang job iyan, it won't land on your doorstep kailangan hanapin rin.

a little update lang. i met my friends for lunch then sumunod siya nung hapon. since andun na friends ko i introduced him to them. we had dinner and my friends had so many questions which was good kasi hindi ako mahilig magtanong na tao. anyway i found out na british citizen pala siya, since diplomat ang dad niya he has a passport for every country na na-assign dad niya including the phils. he renews all of them para updated. since no parents na siya he spent his xmas and new year sa paris with friends last year. inaya niya ako mag punta ng cambodia kasi gusto niya daw makapunta doon. sobrang bait niya and decent, hindi siya manyakis or yung tipo na mag te-take advantage.

he asked when kame magkita ulit i told him thursday or sat. he said how about thurs and sat. tapos sabi ko o kaya fri and sat na lang. he said thurs, fri and sat. but i plan to see him once or twice a week lang. ayoko kasi ng mabilis. i like to take it slow and enjoy the moment after all if it's meant to be it will happen naman.

I have a lady friend na 46 years old na and still single. In her heart, she  feels and hopes na there is someone out there na meant to be her partner in life. So im suggesting nga na try nya online dating. Ayaw naman natatakot. Ano bang magandang site or application to meet prospects or ka-date. So in a way medyo nalilimit ang chance nya to meet other people.

I think Delamar of Monster radio is really inspiring in this aspect she was 40 when she met the father of her kids. This girl is so witty and pretty but was still unmarried at  40 she said several times before akala nia wala na talaga but life will surprise us talaga. So lets just   be better versions of ourselves para we are ready when the right one comes. I think she met him at a resto/bar ata she was in a hell, what do I have to loose mood. And look at where they are now. The point is take risks, go out   di ba. She is also with a foreigner pansin ko dn sa foreigner mas mature and accepting sa older girls unlike asian guys na usually mas bata ang gusto.  ;) ;)

^speaking of that madami nga ganyan over 50yrs old kasama mga 18 up to early 20's. Worst meron pa 75 years old ayaw ko sana husgahan pero pinagtitingin kapag ganyan. Pero mga 30 yrs old and up hanap nyan almost same age nila.

I started feeling that "forever alone" hugot when I got here in UAE. Pano ba naman, most of my younger colleagues are pairing up na, isa isa nagkakalovelife, yung iba kalahi na pinoy, yung iba other nationalities. Samantalang ako nakikibalita nalang kung ano latest sa mya magdyowa wondering why or when ba may darating

Of course when we were younger mas "bankable", maraming pagpipilian e ngayon na tumuntong ako ng 34-35, ang nalapit is may mga asawa na at iba ang hanap.. ayoko naman

So here comes Tinder and Happn both are online dating app. A friend suggested them to me, since di naman ako mahilig pumarty at makisocialize, this is actually a good way of meeting and making friends.
First guy was a casual relationship which I stopped seeing na, all the mistakes I have done charged to experience

Then I met another guy also on Tinder, same age kami, Indian descent but born and raised in London. He's working in Dubai. When we met for coffee last weekend, he was a true gentleman. Actually kahit naman sa chat, its more of getting to know each other, walang halong flirting. I also find it nice that he doesn't shorten words when texting so nakigaya na din ako. I told him that I'm a single mom when we met and he said its fine with him. He wanted us to meet again this coming weekend. Hopefully it will progress into something more. Kaya slowly but surely ang steps ko ngayon. I learned my lesson na from the previous one. Sabi nga good things come to those who wait. :)
