our daughter has been in ELC for two weeks, attending Mondays and Wednesdays. All I can say is, the steep rate is well worth it. I'm super happy with how they look after the kids. The educator to child ratio is low too. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and snacks before going home are all provided for. Nutritiously cooked by their chef (in fairness, they're yummy ha! Buttered scones, spinach and feta pastry, etc) Everything's recorded, how much they ate, how long they slept for, their nappy changes, wet nappy lang ba or if they pooed. Everything! Their playground is the biggest we've seen too.

The car park... I have mixed feelings about. Puros German cars (Audi/BMW/Mercs... some VW) or the latest Japanese car models. Can be intimidating for some pero ako naiisip ko, eto ba makakasama ko sa parents meetings? sana not hoity toity well, I'd rather them than bogans

So for mums thinking of sending their kids to ELC, make sure you tour muna so you can see the amenities, interview the educators, see how they are with kids, etc. Ours is 5 mins away from my work too so I can be there agad in case. This was the best. Ahh another tip, if you send them to "approved registered child care", you will receive CCB and CCR. If not, you pay the whole amount.

^she's 2 yrs old (and 2 weeks ) the week after her birthday she started na. But I put her name down sa waitlist when she was only 6 months old because I heard it's competitive. 2 is the youngest age they can accept.

^Try mo iyong mga nasa malls, like Ella Rouge, or maski iyong mga small salons they are good too.  For peels, Eden Laser (their basic peel is $50) or sa Facial Rejuvenation Clinic.

DIY ka na lang, bili ka na lang Clarisonic and a facial steamer.

I'm not sure about dermas dito, tanong mo na lang ang GP if they can refer you.

^ hi sis thanks for the advice. mag start na kasi ako ng post grad studies next year by around end of june. i'm excited na  kaya lang pansin ko din mahal talaga rental fees sa syd and by the week yung rates nila

^Punta ka rin sa website ng Student Union/Association ng uni. May mga nag-advertise doon for sharing, or sa www.gumtree.com.au , a popular classified ads site. I only go to that area to shop and eat Korean food, may mga buses din naman sa area.

I'm trying to determine if there is a need for me to get OEC from POEA because I already have my Visa 457 and my employer is expecting me this month.  I've seen from the past threads na it's not needed... but that was way back 2012... and we all know how the government change their minds with a snap of a finger. 

Do I still need to get OEC from POEA with my visa 457 prior to departure? - I'm currently here in the PHilippines.

Hello, my husband and I are interested to migrate in Australia. He's an electrical engineer but currently based in Saudi, working for a construction company. On the otherhand, I used to work as an HR personnel for a BPO kaso I resigned when I got pregnant. For the guys here, how were you able to move to Australia. I've been reading the thread na for quite some time, I understand some of you went here through direct employer sponsorship- how did you go about it? Did you apply on a website ba? What are our options? And do we need to take IELTS? Salamat po sa sasagot.

@mimiku: sis, there are a lot of options on how to get here.  some opted to use student visa meaning magaaral kayo.  for working visa, I guess you will be sponsored by the company going here I think that is visa 457.  and other option is migrating as a permanent resident.  if option 3 ang path na gusto niyo I suggest you read booklet 6. google na lang immigration booklet 6 and read it. it can serve as your guide. hope this helps. oh and yes, you need to take IELTS.

for everyone who wants to migrate to Australia, you may start with reading their immigration website... BORDER.GOV.AU. You may also want to read the forum pinoyau.info. With migrating to OZ, you will need to atleast have 60 points. That includes your age, education, work experience and english proficiency. If you're a college grad and has been working for atleast 5 years and will have a score of atleast 7 in IELTS, you will surely get a chance to be granted a PERMANENT VISA 189 OR 190. hth

hi mga sis parang gusto ko din mag apply sa australia ano ano ba ang mga requirements.. my hubby is applying as a primary applicant in Canada, for now nagrereview muna siya ng IELTS.. Me naman, my husband wants me to apply in Australia as a primary applicant.. gusto niya kasi sa Australia kasi PR na dyan yung kuya niya.. ako naman gusto ko canada kasi andun mga relatives ko and gusto ko yung weather, malamig hehe.. sabi niya kung alin daw sa dalawa kami unang maapproved dun kami..

pls help me mga sis, anong visa ba dapat kung applyan, Im a nurse and hubby ay sa banking & finance, we have 1 kid..
