Mine was 6,500 done at chinese gen with my previous Ob. Thank God both my tubes are patent. Me pain during procedure pero tolerable naman they will ask you to take mefenamic acid 30 mins before the procedure. After the procedure me discharge. Hope it helps

Sis janixx, di ko na makita yung post eh. Basta sa healthworks sa may malapit sa ABS ang OB ata dun si Dr. Angel Tan-Espiritu. Mura nga! dapat nga lilipat ako nun eh kaya lang nkkahiya naman sa Ob ko kung sa iba ako mag ppaHSG.

Need ba recommendation from OB before mag undergo ng ganitong test? Nagpapapsmear na kasi ako early this year within normal limits naman and had trans vi last week etong result

normal-sized retroverted uterus
secretory phase endometrium
normal ovaries
(+) minimal free fluid, right adnexa and posterior cul-de-sac

Do you think na need ko din mag undergo ng HSG?

^sis nabuntis ka na ba? if you will undergo fertility work up isa ito sa sa mga pinapagawa ng mga ob kase dun malalaman kung pede ka ng natural/iui or kung for ivf ka na, if ever blocked kase parehong tube mo ivf na lang talaga unless you will do other procedure to open the tubes. Kung isa lang ang block na tube me chance ka pa mabuntis normal or iui just like one of the gt sis here. Mine was done by my previous ob at Chinese Gen 6,500 w/o anesthesia pero tolerable naman ang pain they will ask you to take mefenamic acid 30 minutes before the procedure. Hope it helps. ladybunny, ano gamit nila sa HSG, dye ba or saline? Balak ko mag pa Hsg, nang tanggalin kasi yung myoma ko last Aug 16, 2012 nadiscover n blocked ang both fallopian tubes ko. After 2 months daw ipapacheck ko raw kung patent na siya since naremoved na ang myoma ko. Hay sana naman!

Is this where they infuse your uterus with saline via a catheter? If yes, I had mine done at Cardinal, 4,900 for the procedure and 2,500 for the performing doctor's PF. It didn't hurt at all. They kept telling me to rest as long as I needed after the procedure but I was able to get up right away.

Make sure to bring a pad with you to wear after the procedure.

I'm scheduled for an HSG tomorrow at St. Lukes QC. P2,900+ daw yung sa xray and P7,000 for the doc's PF, catether, dye, etc..

any day of the menstrual cycle pwede magpa hsg? Saan ba hsg na gumagamit saline lang? Irritating kasi yung contrast media dye. Sa qc meron ba hsg using saline lang?

Finally, finished na HSG ko. The xray which we paid for is P2998+ so allot ka ng P3k. PF naman ni doc including catether, dye, etc. is P7k. So we paid P10k nga in total.

I was asked to take dolfenal 30 mins before (this is a big big help, thinking about it now!). Then pumasok na kami sa xray room na malaki. Alam mo yung mga operating table sa Grey's Anatomy? Parang ganon ang feeling haha may lying table sa gitna. They gave me a robe to change into. Yes tanggal lahat pati bra and panties.

When I lay down on the table (si DH nasa loob kung nasan ang mga controls), they took a shot muna of me lying prone. Then doc inserted something na pinabuka V ko. then inserted the catether. Dun pa lang uncomfy na ang feeling pero carry naman. Tapos nung iniinject na ang dye, parang bigla akong nagkaroon ng dysmenorrhea. Ganon ang sakit, pero tolerable. Hindi naman ako napa aray e mababa pain tolerance ko. Then they asked me tosemi-lie on my right side and took a shot. Same sa left. I presume this is for the dye to flow into the tubes. Total of 6 shots ata ang kinuha. That's it, tapos na.

Wala pa akong nararamdamang pain kanina when we finished. Nakalakad pa ako ng normal out of the hospital and sa house up to our room. Took antibiotics (3rd day ko ngayon, total of 7 days), then went to sleep kasi wala akong tulog kagabi.

When I woke up mga 5 hours later, I stood up to go to the bathroom na nasa labas , ayun masakit parang puno ang puson ko na parang tinutulak. Had to hold my tummy (parang psychological). Pag labas ko ng CR tinamaan ako ng dizziness! As in nagbablack dots paningin ko! Gosh... Feeling ko magcocollapse ako. Binilisan ko pumasok ulit sa room kahit super effort and lay down again.

Lying down while typing this. But good news is patent daw both tubes ko. Since DH was in the control room, he said he saw the dye flow steadily daw. Which is great news for me kasi hindi ko alam kung ano ipagppray ko while lying down on the table in the xray room : na sana hindi masakit or sana ok tubes ko. LOL

Doc had me have the procedure on CD7. Dapat immediately after period or yung pag brown na ang blood not red. Wag hintayin na magoovulate na saka magpa HSG kasi baka maflush out ang eggs.

Advice ko lang, important talaga na may kasama ka kasi you never know when the effect of the painkiller will wear off.

^ sa pagkakaalam ko ang HSG gumagamit ng dye and xray while yung HSSG naman saline and ultrasound. Mas mura ang HSSG pero sinasabi ng iba na mas ok pa rin daw yung HSG...

Hi sis! Sinong OB mo? Sa CGH din ako nagpapa check up and balak ko na rin isuggest kay OB na magpa HSG.

Magkaiba pala yung HSG at HSSG, now ko lang nalaman. hehe!

^Hi sis caramelli, kay dr. Irene sy ako.  Total hsg ko is 8k + meds. Sobrang bilis lang ng procedure wala pang 10 mins. Right after ng procedure sinabi na sa akin ni dr. yun result.
