^ sa pagkakaalam ko ang HSG gumagamit ng dye and xray while yung HSSG naman saline and ultrasound. Mas mura ang HSSG pero sinasabi ng iba na mas ok pa rin daw yung HSG...

Hi sisses mine was sept. 2011 right f.tube blocked and left is ok. Got pregnant after HSSG, yun nga lang nag-miscarriage ako. Regarding HSSG or HSG sa tingin ko accurate naman sila both, dpende kasi yan kay OB kung ano ang the usual nya na ginawa kung saan siya sanay or kung anong gamit meron siya sa clinic. Hope it helps.

^hi sis! wala bang way para ma unblock yung blocked tube? plan ko rin magpa HSG/HSSG, kinakabahan ako.. ask ko muna si OB on sat, kaso nabasa ko dito sa GT na CD7 daw ginagawa yun. eh CD5 ko palang sa sat, hindi naman ako makapunta kay OB kapag weekdays because of work.

sis caramelli, wala pa ako definite sked kasi pupuntahan ko pa lang yun bago OB ko then irerequest ko na magpaHSG na ako. gusto din kasi namin itry paIUI kaya i-test na lahat.

Normal yung result ng hsg ko, bale pang 2nd cycle ko na sa kanya.

1st cycle - cd2 start ng serophene for 5 days, cd13 follicle monitoring then that night pregnyl shot. BD after 24 hrs. Failed 
2nd cycle - cd2 serophene for 5 days
               - cd 7 HSG (a day before hsg took antibiotic for 5 days, cyto a night and morning before hsg                        then pain reliever 1 hrs before and after)
              - cd 11 follicle monitoring ( may sarili syang machine), follies sizes are 28 and 24 same day pregnyl shot
              -cd 12 iui then start of duphaston for 2 weeks
Now on my 2ww.

Sinamahan ko din ng novena kay father pio at perpetual help. We went also sa st. claire at sa our lady of the rosary sa manaoag.

Sis ang alam ko magkalapit lang sila ng clinic sa cgh, room 601 si dr.sy.

Yung mga nagpa hsg using saline solution, how does that work?
Kasi yung purpose why they use the radioactive contrast media dye is so pag magview sila via xray makikita nila kung nagdrain ang dye. . Pag saline di makikita yun kasi di naman illuminescent yun?
How does it work?
Do you need rx for hsg or pwede walk in lang?

^sis, serophene is one of the brand name of clomephene citrate to stimulate the ovaries, then kapag nakapag produce ka ng dominant follicle tska mag inject ng pregnyl para ma burst yung follies para mag release ng egg. Yan yung sa pagkaka alam ko.

Sis may ibang way pa ata para ma unblocked siya, Ask ka kay OB mo sis kung kilan ka nya i-sked for HSG/HSSG pagkakaalam ko di naman kailangan na CD 7 talaga, mine is 3-5 days after menstration ang sabi ni OB na maganda mag undergo nang ganyang procedure.

I had my HSG yesterday lang with Dr. Jing Fernandez at St. Luke's Medical Center - Global City. Magaan kamay nya, as in no pain during and after the procedure. Hindi na nga ako pinag take ng pain reliever before the procedure. Dr. Jing is very patient in explaining what is happening habang pinapanood ninyo kung saan pumupunta yung dye.

I had HSSG 5 years ago, and it was a little bit painful. I don't know why, pero ilang days din ako hindi nakalakad ng maayos. Mas maganda magpa HSG kaysa HSSG kasi mas madaling makita kung blocked ang tubes or hindi.

Yep, si Dr. Jing mismo nag HSG sa akin. Sa SLMC-GC ginawa, sa X-ray department. Total fee was P9,000 (lab fee, fee for radiologist, and fee for Dr. Jing). I think the amount varies, depende na lang kung magkano PF ng doctor. Also, may antibiotics pa after ng procedure to be taken every 12 hours for for 7 days, which inabot ako ng P1000+

From my experience:
HSSG: hysterosalpingosonogram; uses ultrasound with saline; result is not always clear because of too many shadows
-it was a little bit painful (tolerable), ramdam ko yung paglagay ng saline
-after the procedure, I couldn't walk properly for 2 days -- parang laging may cramps sa puson

HSG: hysterosalpingogram; uses x-ray with dye; result is very clear
-habang ginagawa ito, nakikita mo through the x-ray machine kung saan nagfoflow yung dye; usually, pag hindi blocked both tubes, magfoform ng Y shape sa x-ray
-no pain during and after the procedure (depende na rin siguro sa nagpeperform ng HSG)

@sis Lei_Glee: for IUI kasi ako sa kanya, so nag schedule sya sa akin ng HSG...although nag HSSG ako noon, sobrang tagal na (5 years ago) so kailangan gawin at para mas accurate yung findings.
