^ganun ba sis, kawawa naman dog mo :( it's not like kulang cya sa medication or nutrition because its seems like you've been taking very good care of him already. I understand how frustrating it is for you sis. my dog is also recovering from ehrlichia now, and both her parents had ehrlichia before. kahit super maingat na tayo sa pets natin, there is still a chance that they'll get sick.
I just pray na on his/her way to recovery na dog mo- crossing fingers! :)
btw, with regards to his food, have you tried feeding it raw or semi raw? Maybe it will help.

^which brand of shampoo did you use? minsan kasi kahit organic meron pa ring chemicals eh.

re fish oil, some like it as treats, pero yung iba ayaw, niluluwa once malasahan yung oil. yung iba naman hinahalo sa food, so know thy dog na lang. sa mga alaga ko isa lang pumapapak sa fish oil, the rest pahirapan iniipit ko pa sa meat bago kainin. wala naman age limit sa fish oil, supplement lang sya. maintenance dosage is 100mg of EPA&DHA per 10lbs, you can give up to 3x if may health issues like skin, coat, joint problem.

Hello po, so my bro bought me a 3 week old beagle and he's so cute, first time kong mag alaga ng puppy so ignorante pa ako sa mga bagay bagay about puppies.. Yung stomach ng puppy ko is bloated, tapos naglalagas yung hair hindi sya yung hairy, tapos last day lang nag vomit sya, tapos nag less ang energy nya.. So i got worried and research all about whats goin on, so ive found out sa symptons yun ng pagkakaroon ng heartworm, i started to panic, i dont want him to die.. Lol .. I haven't consulted yet a vet [textspeak!] iniisip ko na baka sobrang mahal mag pa check up....

300 lang naman usually check-up and some vets allow installment payments if tataas yung bill. Don't delay the check-up na. With so many symptoms, it's almost an imperative that a vet sees your puppy already.

^if you dont want him to die, vet na. kundi man heartworm baka may ibang reason. medyo mapapamahal lalo sa gamit pero ganun talaga.

3week old pa lang kasi sya, usual sched yan for deworming.

You can go to your vet to have him dewormed and initial check-up na rin and schedule for shots.

My 2-year old female beagle has had itchiness, redness and flaking ng skin din for a long time na and they vets cannot say what's wrong with her despite several skin tests. Pag naka antibiotics sya nawawala for the duration of the medication then babalik naman. She also develops this maasim na odor, sabi that's from the scaly  bumps daw. The latest thing that Doc Nielsen of VIP is having us try is to give her only a combination of tuna (in water) + boiled mashed potatoes + carrots + green leafy veggies. We had her on Royal Canin Hypoallergenic pero even that did not help. Baka daw genetic na and she will have it for life. Doc Nielsen said it can be alleviated by steriods but she can't be on that naman for long periods of time dahil madadamage and liver nya. We might also have to get some really expensive shots pero last resort na siguro yon, and I really hope we don't have to go down that road. She's been on this diet na for the last 3 weeks and it can take 8 weeks daw for the allergens to completely leave her body if that really is the cause. Sometimes she gets really red too, kawawa because she rubs her chin vigorously on rough surfaces. She has lost weight due to the diet but seems normal and healthy naman by the way that she behaves. Yon lang, I can see her that she's red and flaking, although the scratching - not so much. We also bathe her with Mycocide shampoo - orange ang color in a white bottle. I really hope we can get to the bottom of this problem. Blessings to you and your beloved pets!

What was her food prior to RC hypo? Note lang on RC products, they use alot of grains especially corn, soy, wheat (common allergen for dogs) and meat by-products, do not be deceived by this brand kasi it's full of low-quality ingredients, lately nga may iniimbento silang variant using feather meal wtf? :o I won't recommend this brand kahit pa vet recommended sya, same thing with science diet, may malaking X sila sa aking list hehe.

Okay yung recipe na binigay ni doc, tuna is rich in omega 3, good yan for the skin and coat. shifting to homemade diet can really help in skin issues kasi controlled yung ingredients unlike sa dogfood na kung ano-ano laman. Try the elimination diet and see kung may progress. usually kasi food ang cause ng mga sakit nila, when we're giving unfit ingredients like grains and low-quality meat, it puts stress on their system. lalo na pag genetic yung pagkakaron ng weak immune system, kung ano-ano talagang sakit ang lalabas. ganyan yung bulldog ko, kahit anong ipakain pabalik-balik ang mange. Tinanggap ko na lang na weakly sya hehe nagkakaedad na rin kasi at nagstock na lang ako ng vitamins just in case. as much as possible, I only use organic shampoos tapos iwas kami sa medications kasi liver yung affected in the long run. TLC na lang talaga tapos i boost his immune system by giving supplements.

Keep us updated, I'm hoping na macontrol na yung skin issues nya  :)

^ Hi Sis abuanddiego, I've been reading your posts ... and you sound so expert na on this field. Dami ko nalalaman from you :)

Sis, I have a 3month old lab x golden retriever. She is healthy and sooooo makulit ... grabeee hehe. Kaso a few weeks back she has this reddening of the skin. It started sa legs niya behind ... nilangas namin siya with bayabas leaves and umayos naman kaso panandalian lang ... tas I bought her doggies choice anti-mange shampoo dun parang mayos. Yung pamumula is naging light na and yung mga dots na sugat-sugat is natuyo. Sa ngayon naman wala na pamumula... as in white na uli ang skin niya and hindi na rin siya ganun kung magkamot ... unlike before. Kaso parang yung fur nia is not na ganun kaganda ... parang dry and not soft na.

Before her diet was beefpro for puppies ... and because of the pamumula na may spots na sugat sa legs and itchiness pinacheckup namin cia sa vet (schedule vaccine nia that time din). The vet recommend Vitality ... kaya currently, she is on Vitality. Ok naman ang effect and mas like niya ito kesa sa dati niya na beefpro.

I have a sister who has tsu before ... she tried Vitality to those tsu of her and ok naman din daw ... also she informed me to give or haluan ng Nestle Milk (yung nasa green tetra) yung Vitality along with water and konting rice. Tas ok din daw minsan banana and milk. Then if ever naubusan ng milk eh, ok rin ang Vitality with water and rice and konting sugar.

So far ok naman cia ... poop and wiwi is ok. Super takaw and harot hehe :)

Any advice you can give me, especially dun sa fur niya.

TIA :)

^hi sis! uy thanks ha, I'm glad to know na nakakatulong ako :) i'm just sharing what I learned from researching and outputs ng fellow pet owners.

Re dogfood, I don't give dogfood anymore, sa totoo lang kaya kami nagdogfood is because I'm trying to find out san sila allergic. Kahit nung pups kasi sila either homecooked or raw kami, pero pag nagkaron ng problem nagtytry ako ng dogfood for a change pero madalas may meat pa rin. medyo choosy ako sa dogfood, I would only recommend, Acana, Orijen, GO!, Eagle Pro, Canidae, natry ko sila, okay naman effect but I would always choose fresh food over premium brands.

Yung milk, i won't advice na kasi most dogs are lactose intolerant, the closest to their dam's milk is goat's milk, yung iba naman milk replacer meron din yung cosi milk for dogs talaga yun. pero once pwede na sa solid food you can omit milk na, maginvest na lang sa quality diet. Remember that dogs are carnivores, so meat and organs talaga ang kailangan nila. you can give rice, veggies and fruits pero minimal lang, very little to zero kasi ang needs nila for plant matters at hirap kasi sila to process it properly so hinay sa plant matters and magfocus sa pagbigay ng meat.

About the fur, malaking tulong ang diet nila sa condition ng coat and skin. sa lahat ng diet na natry ko, sa raw sila pinakamaganda. Shiny, makapal at matingkad ang fur nila. Hindi rin sila mabilis bumaho, no bad breaths, once a day poop, at maganda yung built nila nafoform ang muscles. Pag proper diet kasi you won't need expensive supplements or hair products, natural na maganda yung dog mo. That's why I always tell pet owners na maginvest sa food and choose their diet carefully. Oo mas mahal maggrocery for their food pero it's all worth it, kasi magiging healthy talaga sila, hindi kayo madalas sa vet and people would notice it. Pero ang magandang supplement for coat is fish oil, I use the ATC brand, local lang yun meron sa groceries and leading drugstores.

Next yung skin scrapping. After that nalaman namin na dermodectic mange nga sya.

Yung amitraz once a week after banlaw yun
The yung banjo soap at benzoyl shampoo 3x a week gagamitin sa kanya.

Thank you in advance po.
