Hi Doc Let, last vaccine ni baby was March, PCV-B at Tetra, then next is for 18months pero inischedule ng end of July so bale 19 months na si bunso that time, HEP-A2, MMR2 at OPV-B1. Kung naalala niyo po namention ko sa PM na may bumukol sa pinag injection and till now may konti pa akong nakakapa.. Safe pa rin po kaya na matarakan ulit ng injection? Nung 12 months po kasi siya bale 3 injections ang binigay (HEP-A1, MMR1, chickenpox) sa kanya kaya tingin ko 3 injections ulit, okay lang po kayang dalawa sa braso at isa nalang sa hita to avoid the area na may lump pa?

Hi doc! My baby was born on June 17 and the pedia advised that he gets the 6in1 vaccine on July 9. Halos 3 weeks pa Lang sya nun.  Okay Lang kaya ibigay sa kanya yun ng ganun ka aga? May bcg and hepatitis b vaccine din sya at birth.

Doc Lelet will respond probably later too, but I think dun sa 6-in-1 ay kasama na un 2nd dose of Hepa B vaccine (+ Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Inactivated Polio, Hib) at usually dapat 4 weeks apart from un 1st dose na nareceive nya nung birth.. mga July 15 pa sana at the earliest.. you can ask your pedia naman baka may considerations sya kaya maaga.. Sa sched ng vaccines usually mga 6 weeks old na baby saka binibigay un 6-in-1.

If you live in an area or planning to go to an area (US, Canada< etc.) where there were reported meningococcal cases (meningococcemia, meningitis, etc. ), then it would be better to have your child vaccinated with the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV). MCV has better and longer immunity compared to the older meningo polysaccharide vaccine and may be given to kids as early as 9 months of age.

OPV = oral polio vaccine so this is given by mouth, not by injection, unless IPV ang ibibigay which is the inactivated polio vaccine. Clarify na lang with the pedia there.
MMR vaccine is given through the subcutaneous route so this can be given via the deltoid area or arm area.
Please mention the nodule to the pedia during your next visit so you can be guided accordingly.

The earliest you can give the 6 in 1 vaccine is at 6 weeks of age based on studies. Hindi ba 1st well baby check up lang yung sa 3 weeks of age? Next vaccine of your baby should be at 4 weeks of age for the 2nd dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine. Kindly ask your pedia for clarification.
