^ Why is it a bad thing that there are more vaccines now? Shouldn't we be happy that there are now more vaccines that protect our children from deadly diseases? Would you rather that your child suffer from Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Polio, etc? Have you ever seen a child suffering from tetanus? Do you know how heart wrenching it is to see a child have spasms from the tetanus toxin? Have you ever heard a child with whooping cough? Have you ever seen a child with meningitis? I suggest you take a look at each disease these vaccines give protection to before saying that having more vaccines now are bad.
And why should we not accept research made by the pharmaceutical companies who manufacture these vaccines? Before any vaccine or medicine is released into the market, it goes through several phases of trials. These trials take several years. And even after a vaccine is released into a vaccine, there are post licensure studies that monitor vaccines. If it is just that easy to release a vaccine, then there would be a dengue vaccine out now...
And please, as I said many times before in this thread and in the past threads, the pioneer study linking autism and MMR has long been shown to be a fraudulent study. Andrew Wakefield was even stripped of his license to practice in UK due to this. He made up the results of the study to favor the link since he was paid to do so.
Vaccine courts have long proven that there is no such link between vaccines and autism. Recent studies show a link between prenatal stress and development of autism, but not with vaccines.
I would rather believe in evidence based medicine than believe in testimonial evidence, which is why most doctors will not prescribe a natural supplement just because someone said it is good or is a cure for all. A medication has  a mechanism of action. It is the mechanism of action that leads to its' use in disease management. Wouldn't you wonder why or how a natural supplement can cure all diseases?

Does it say follow up after 1 month for the 3rd dose of hepatitis B? If yes, then you have to clarify it with your pedia as to why the 3rd dose is being given early. And if it would be given early, then there is  a need to give a booster dose of hepatitis B vaccine 1 year after the 3rd dose is given because studies say that if the 3rd dose is given earlier than 6 months after the 1st dose, antibody production is not that good.

I choose to post articles written by professional instead of myself defending the merits using my own words and interpretation of informing the mothers of vaccine injuries would be best considering im not a medical practitioner.

However, I believe it is the right of anybody reading this topic to be informed, to have a choice and decide for themselves if after reading all of these from different unassociated, unaffiliated websites warning the dangers of vaccines choose to ignore the warning then that is itself a choice.  From one mother to another this is for them to decide.

Parents have the right to choose what to do for their child in any given situation, medical or non - medical, which is why it is important that correct information coming from reputable sources are given and not mere testimonial evidence or information coming from known anti-vaccine blogs are shared. 
The CDC and the ACIP are good sources of unbiased information regarding vaccines.
Leigh syndrome is a different disease from autism.
Anyway, as a parent, I choose to protect my one and only son from the threat of debilitating and fatal diseases by vaccinating him.

That is the average price.
Varicella is included as a 4 in 1 vaccine with Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMRV).
If it is just your child's 1st dose, I suggest that you have the 2 vaccines given separately as recommended by ACIP since there is a higher risk of developing febrile seizures with the 1st dose but not with the 2nd dose.

^ Infanrix hexa is a 6 in 1 combination vaccine which means na lahat yung 6 na yun nasa isang vaccine na lang so 1 injection lang.
As I posted above, the 6 in vaccine protects against the 6 organisms/diseases included in the vaccine so it protects against polio, tetanus, diphtheria, etc. Example: H. Influenza type B vaccine protects against infections caused by H. Influenza type B such as pneumonia, meningitis and ear infections. Pertussis causes whooping cough and so the vaccine protects against whooping cough.
Please look up the diseases so that you can fully understand how important the vaccine is. Please also ask for the box of the vaccine after vaccination so you can read the package insert.
# of doses for Diphtheria, Pertussis and tetanus: 3 primary doses and 2 boosters
# of doses for Hepatitis B vaccine: 3 - 4 doses, depending on the interval used

Hello mga.sis! 
 
First time ko dito sa thread and I'm glad na may doktora tayong kasama 

Na bother lang ako na ang baby less than 1 year needs monthly checkup si baby ko kasi hindi ko pa nadadala sa pedia since pinanganak ko siya  6 weeks na si baby sa friday.  Sa health center ko lang siya nadala nung 5days old palang siya for vaccine and this friday balik namin para sa sunod niya vaccine. 

Akala ko kasi for vaccine lang kaya need to go sa pedia monthy. Ang ginawa lang sa kanya sa health center sa amin, weight, height tsaka yun bakuna nga.. Yun lang. And since wala naman kakaiba kay baby hindi ko siya dinadala sa doktor.

Kung dadalhin ko si baby sa pedia, anong dapat kong sabihin sa doktor? For monthly checkup siya? Eh syempre wala pa naman siya record dun at i-ask din malamang kung anong ipapatingin kay baby.. Eh wala naman siya sakit.  Don't know where to start tuloy...

Parang OT naman ako. Sorry. Bothered lang. Pentahib ang next vaccine ni baby sa friday

^When you go to the pedia, her secretary will ask if your baby already has a record. Pag wala pa, she will just ask you to fill out a form.

Well-baby check-up ang tawag sa monthly check-ups kung walang sakit ang bata. Routine ito for children 0-2 y/o, so hindi magtataka ang doktor kung bakit mo dinala ang baby mo, don't worry. Aside sa pagkuha ng weight and height, the pedia will check your baby's eyes, ears, nose, mouth, head size, ask you how well s/he's feeding/sleeping, tell you what to expect in terms of development, give you information about vaccines. Also, bring a copy of your baby's newborn screening report, if you have it.

my baby missed HIB vaccines, kase sa health center ko lang siya dati pinapa vaccine,
yun daw ang sunod na vaccine niya 4 doses yung na missed, meron po bang 1 vaccine for 4 doses nun?

Question is pwede pa ko pa bang pabigyan ng mmr at varicella ang 3 yr 2 mos old daughter ko. Hanggang measles lang kasi natapos niya sa Pinas nung 9mos siya then abroad na kami. Hindi ko na naasikaso itong mmr and varicella eh pauwesiya ng Pinas this November kaya gusto ko sana mabigay muna tong vaccines before siya magbakasyon. Pwede pa kaya and ilang weeks dapat ang gap kung pwede pa ibigay? How much pala mmr and varicella diyan sa Pinas ngayon? Thanks

Your daughter can still get the MMR and varicella vaccines. Even adults who were not given those 2 vaccines can get immunized with MMR and varicella vaccines. That is what we call "catch up immunization".
Minimum interval between 2 live vaccines and during catch up immunization is at least 4 weeks. The 2nd dose is recommended to be given at 4 to 6 years of age or at least 3 months after the 1st dose.
By the way, it is very important for females to get immunized with the MMR vaccine. This is to prevent Congenital rubella syndrome when the female patient gets exposed to german measles or rubella during pregnancy.

Well baby visits usually start at 2 weeks of age followed by another visit at 4 weeks of age (usually sa same visit, ibibigay ang hepa B vaccine 2nd dose) then monthly thereafter. It is very important that infants get assessed monthly in order to check for milestones, health status, etc. and so that necessary interventions may be started early on. Was there a pedia who assessed your baby after delivery at the hospital? Usually, the pedia who was present during delivery is the one who schedules the 1st well baby visit at his/her clinic.

You cannot give all 4 doses of the hib vaccine at the same time. Minimum interval for catch up immunization is at least 4 weeks. You need to give the immune system enough time to create memory antibodies.
How old is your baby? If it is for catch up, the number of required doses for the Hib vaccine also decreases as the baby gets older.
This is the required # of doses/age:
2 - 6 months: 3 primary doses at least 2 months apart with 1 booster at 12 to 15 months of age
7 - 11 months: 2 primary doses at least 2 months apart with 1 booster at 12 to 15 months of age
12 - 14 months: 1 primary dose with 1 booster at least 2 months after
15 - 59 months: 1 dose only
