sobrang naglleak ako mga sis.. we thought umihi si baby, milk ko pala yung naglawa sa kama.. haaayyy.. pano araw araw malunggay, tulya, halaan, sabaw.. minsan natatakot ako kasi pag nagffeed kami ni baby, nabubulunan sya, sabi ng mom ko, mas malaki pa daw yung boobs ko sa baby ko..

mga sis ask ko lang, magbbreastfeed kasi ako pero mga 1 month lang siguro kasi back to work ako after maternity leave ko..titigil ba agad pagleak nun pag di ko na breneast feed c baby?

Yes it's normal. My daughter comfort feeds too. She starts to do it when she's already asleep. So she's no longer feeding.

Before, my back aches when nursing because it's already hours before I put her down. i read somewhere that you should let the baby 'release' the breast. So I did that. But she always wanted to nurse often. Short intervals pala between nursing sessions results to hind milk foremilk imbalance.

^^why not express you're milk while at work and direct feed when you're with baby so that your baby can still enjoy the benefits of breastfeeding?

Sis pump mo muna yung excess milk mo before feeding to relieve the pressure. Then store mo na lang para meron kang reserve na milk in case lang you'll be away from your baby. Clearly, you have an oversupply of breastmilk.

Gayahin Ko nga mga kinakain mo. Dito Kasi sa inlaws Ko Hindi mahilig sa sabaw.

^^agree with sis grayce. ako we have tried avent, playtex, regular nipple, medela calma, pigeon and luckily the last 2 were preferred by my baby. pigeon was his best choice. lahat din slow flow lang. nagtry ako ng variable flow, ayaw ni baby.

sis new_iza, my baby has negative reactions over dairy products as well. observe mo lang din.

^ang daming testing pala nyan sis.. hehe.. nag try kami ulit kanina mag bottle feed.. hay ayaw again. Iyak iyak na naman sya. 1oz lang nga pina pa testing ko 1/2 lang nainum nya. Natulog na lang na bad trip yata

^hit or miss talaga minsan. my baby before there are times ayaw nya sa avent as in kahit anong pilit namin ayaw talaga, there are times naman na ok lang (maybe gutom lang kasi talaga) but yun nga we noticed he doesn't fuss that much compared to if we give him BM thru born free bottles.

Sis xhien, titigil lang sha if it stops being emptied. Doesnt matter if the baby feeds on you or you express, tuloy2 sha sa pag produce basta it gets stimulated. So expect that when its full, mag leak talaga. Pump at work nalang. I did it for 6 months. You have to wean completely if u want milk production to stop. Weaning is medyo uncomfy and it took me abt a month to lose the milk completely.

baby is turning 1 yr old next week. EBF pa rin kami. ayaw na nya talaga sa bottle kaya i stopped breastpumping na rin since 6 mos pa lang sya.
pwede na ba sya uminom ng fresh milk aside sa milk ko?

^once your baby turns one you can start giving him fresh milk.

I stopped bottle feeding my son when he was 9mos ata yun or 8mos as he totally refused the bottle already that time kaya no choice but to direct feed. i still breastfeed him til now on demand but i've been giving him fresh milk since he turned 1 he's now 17mos old.

^when my baby turned 1yo and lalo na when I got pregnant, I would only nurse him if he wants. If ayaw niya, I don't insist. Usually evenings na Lang siya mag nurse. Which is ok lang since he's 22mos already and has a very healthy diet. But I noticed when I gave birth last week, every time he sees his younger sib nursing, he'd want to nurse too. Or if he sees me not holding the baby, automatic he'd want his turn. So most of the time sabay sila ng 1week old ko, tig-isang breast sila :p

@sis Lelliebubb ha? ganun ba un..hirap naman pla..kala ko naman magstop siya ng kusa kasi di ko na siya mabbreastfeed, mga 1 or 2 months ko lang kasi magagawa yun.. iiwan ko kasi si baby sa province and back to work ako dito manila..so mahirap pala talaga..anyway thanks for the info..

every month na lumalampas, i feel proud na natagalan ko magbreastfeed. i pump at work and kahit minsan feeling ko kulang yung milk at kailangan maghabol, umaabot naman sa need ng baby ko. almost 10 months na kami and wala pang formula ang baby ko.ang dami ko ngang baby bottles na hindi nagagamit. nasa box pa yung iba kasi regalo.

@hunnyally congrats sa new baby! parang ang hirap ng ginagawa mo pero ang galing.. I want to get inspired by moms like you. Sa first baby ko kasi di ako nakapag bf ng matagal. Kulang din ako sa support group here samin. I really think its important na may nag eencourage sa bfing. I really want my 2nd baby to ebf sakin.. The pressure is on kasi malapit nadin ako manganak.. And im really excited also

Cocoyow, i was only able to bfeed my eldest for 3mos or so. So when I got preggy 2nd time around, I was firm I'll only breastfeed. Didn't even buy bottles til my baby was 2-3mos old para no temptations. Then I even hired the services of a lactation consultant. Ang dami kasi around me who were discouraging me. Kesyo I didn't succeed the first time around so it's pretty sure i won't for my 2nd. I made sure too that my husband is there during my sessions so if he has questions or concern he can ask the LC. Thankfully we were able to survive the first few months. Now it's learning time for me again but this time on how to nurse a newborn and a toddler. Buti na Lang the new baby is very good at latching. One less problem for me.

Just take it a day at a time and I'm sure you'll succeed too in breastfeeding.

^Thanks sa advice sis. Nasa mother din talaga, dapat may dedication. ako, i got discouraged agad sa first baby ko, and wala kong knowledge pa masyado kaya feeling ko ok lang kasi madami din mommies na mix feed naman. But i was wrong. Btw sis, can i ask saan pwede makakuha ng lactation consultant?
