Possible due to stress.
Mga sis any headache/migraine experience after giving birth?

@cassiopeia, I told you so. ;)  But don't go without pumping for more than 3 hours because your supply will adjust to the "decreased" demand and diminish.  You might think ang dami mong nakuha when you pumped today dahil naipon nga but tomorrow might yield a different output.  Ganyan kasi humina ang supply ko.  I had missed pumping sessions noong una, ang dami kong nakuha pero next day and the day after that, sobrang kumonti ang nakuha ko kasi nag-adjust ulit ang supply ko due to the diminished demand.

Hi sisses, it's me again... 2 days ng si baby cluster feeding but this time intervals are near about 10-30 minutes during daytime. Then my breasts do not leak anymore and it never felt full. Napansin kong umimpis mukha ni baby... Could it be low milk supply? I went to babycenter to [textspeak!] symptoms ko daw is low milk supply.

^baka naman tumangkad si baby mo kaya numipis yung mukha. better to check the weight sis. :)
habang tumatagal sis, you will not feel full na talaga. unless matagal hindi magnurse si baby. be more confident, kaya mo yan! :)

^^ Bear in mind that your body has already adjusted to the demand of the baby.  Now that your baby has become a more efficient nurser, your body will not produce sobra-sobrang quantities ng milk that make you engorged.  Furthermore, the baby may have become more effective at draining your breasts.  It is not always the case na kulang ang milk mo or low milk supply ka na.  Please lang, let us get rid of this mentality. :)

Sorry mga sis... Anyway, I read somewhere that I should learn to space feeding I.e. every 2 hours. So the baby will get the foremilk and hind milk.

thanks sis! wasn't successful with my panganay due to a lot of stress, frustrations and misconceptions... i will try again with this second pregnancy... at least i have idea na what to expect and be prepared...  :)

btw, what is cluster feeding? and what do you do if baby is already comfort nursing and nawawalan na kayo ng time for everything else? kasi feeling ko pag nag-ganito si baby, made-depress ako... yung tipong hostage ka na ni baby, wala ng time for self, husband, or even go out to de-stress and unwind... yung tipong wala ka ng ginawa kundi mag-nurse 24 hours...

Hi mga Sis, I just gave birth 9 days ago and currently mixed fed si baby kasi di pa malakas ang supply ko. Nahihirapan din sya mag-latch kaya nagpa-pump ako then yung BM sa bottle nya iniinom. I've been reading breastfeeding articles and watching lots of videos para makakuha ng tips. Goal ko in the next 2 weeks eh exclusive breastfeed na si baby at saka makapag direct feed na sya.

Just in case hindi ako mag-succeed sa pag latch kay baby, can anyone recommend a good lactation consultant?

ditto.

anjfree,
san mo nabasa yan? usual feeding for newborns is every 2-3hrs but depends on the baby. for me i think feeding on demand is much better specially if the baby is having growth spurt. i dont think that advise is advisable as a baby's appetite varies.

^hi sis, I read it sa circle of moms... But I did not follow. Nurse pa din Ako when baby wants to. Mas na-alarm nga Ako when I read babycenter - http://www.babycenter.com/breastfeeding-problem-solver. Sabi dito kulang supply ko. Pero like you girls said, baka growth spurt nga lang. I will have my baby checked this weekend para makita ko if he grew and gained weight. I have been explaining to my mom na lean talaga mga breastfed babies.

I'm trying to relax na...

yan ang parati ko ineexplain sa totoo lang... mas importante sa akin na "healthy" ang anak ko. whether payat or mataba sya... when i say healthy - he's within the normal curve of his length and weight. not sickly...

my eldest son was on mixed feed for a month then formula na. due to my ignorance in breastfeeding, and nag ka dengue ako. hindi na kinaya ng willpower ko to breastfeed.  his common problem was his bowel. madalas sya mag lbm. as early as 4months old, yan na yung problem namin sa kanya. nag jaundice din sya at birth though his pedia in CGH that time said pa araw lang. it took us more than 2 weeks bago mawala yellow skin nya. no lab done done.

my 2nd son naman exclusive breastfed kami since day 1... alam ko God prepared us for what was about to happen nun. due to long labor then na CS ako, he got respiratory infection kaya nabalik sya sa nicu. then nag jaundice din sya. we went home and his jaundice is ok na in a week.
our ebf helped him recover fast. proud ako to say that i bf him in nicu every 2hrs kahit sa gabi tumatayo ako w/ only 40mins-1hr of sleep.

my 3rd baby who's turning 3months naman exclusive breastfeeding din kami. though pasaway yung pedia nya (lahat ng boys ko iba iba ang pedia), instructed the nurses to feed my baby w/ a formula (nahuli ko kasi ng unang punta ko sa nicu may lungad siya) w/o my consent. nag jaundice din sya started late, mga 3rd day na. on the 6th day umuwi na kami. i nursed him every 2hrs din sa nicu.

their jaundice is not related to ebf or not. due to our ABO blood incompatibility. as long as their blood type is not the same as mine which is O mag jajaundice sila.

common sakit lang nila yung colds, allergic rhinitis and asthma (genetic from my family line).
