BTW, question naman paano ba malalaman kung satisfied sa milk intake si baby? EBF kami since day 1, 3 days old na si baby pero parang di siya palaihi at palapoop? pinisil ko boobs ko may lumabas na milk naman. antagal naman ni baby dumede at after nakakatulog siya. TIA

^^ Sis, if you nurse on demand, hindi fussy si baby, mahimbing ang tulog, etc.  most likely satisfied siya.  Sa pag-poop, iba-iba ang diskarte ng mga babies kaya hindi nating ma-predict iyan.

^^^babies will stop naman once they're full already. since your baby's a newborn palang, expect them to feed a lot and atleast 30mins upto more than 1hr specially if theyre having a growth spurt.

2nd baby ko na pero sa eldest kasi di ako nakapagpa-BF, ngayon ko lang kinareer. ang hirap pala pero kapag naiisip ko na kinaya niyo so dapat kaya ko din.

kaya lang yung isang nips ko nag bleed na sana huwag naman yung isa ayoko mag formula

^checked the latch. Bake Mali that's why you have bleeding nipples. You can check in YouTube. On my first few days bfeeding was uncomfortable since I was not used to it but it never reached to the point my nipples bleed

Hi mga Sis, I just gave birth 9 days ago and currently mixed fed si baby kasi di pa malakas ang supply ko. Nahihirapan din sya mag-latch kaya nagpa-pump ako then yung BM sa bottle nya iniinom. I've been reading breastfeeding articles and watching lots of videos para makakuha ng tips. Goal ko in the next 2 weeks eh exclusive breastfeed na si baby at saka makapag direct feed na sya.

Just in case hindi ako mag-succeed sa pag latch kay baby, can anyone recommend a good lactation consultant?

Same issue I had when I was breastfeeding sis, I believe your baby's pedia can help you with that next visit, voice your lactating concern and ask for her help. Congrats and welcome to the awesomeness of motherhood!!

when we direct feed, sometimes i get to think he may not be getting enough kasi ang iksi lang ng tulog and not as plenty of wet diapers though same number of poops. baby is also teething kaya he's a little fussier. keeps on biting din. i say 'no' naman and let him just bite my pinkie.

noticed my milk supply is so low for almost 3weeks now. though my baby is not ebf, i still make sure meron sya nakukuha breastmilk from me kahit papaano.

i started taking fenugreek again and prolacta this time (natalac before) baka makatulong para bumalik yung dating output ko. bumaba kasi sya ng half. direct feeding naman si baby during weekends and overnight.

makakatulong ba ang lactation counselor for any advices pa para bumalik yung supply ko and increase pa as much as possible? baby is turning 6mos in 2 weeks pero wala kasi ako plan pa stop breastfeed sya. target ko sana kahit mixed feeding sya is minimum of 1 year.

please help super desperate and depress na ako

^hmmm... i think that the most probable reason why your supply has dipped is because of formula. breastfeeding works on a supply and demand basis kasi. the more you give formula, the lesser the demand is for your milk. do you pump regularly when you away from baby? how often do you pump? you should be expressing every 2-3 hours to up supply, if i remember correctly.

sis anjfree, haven't checked yet kasi sa saturday pa next check up namin. his lowest weight gain naman is 300grams for a month, the rest is 500g++. his first set of teeth erupted na din kaya he is fussier than usual. para lang kasing ang hina niya magmilk lately, but sabi ni mama, maybe due to teething. good thing though, walang fever, although balik sa pagiging baby na poops almost every feed. plus still very distractible. nagwowork naman yung nursing in a quite darkened room, but ang iksi din ng tulog. minsan 30mins lang gising na.

you may want to checl of baby has good latch, baka you may want to check dra. elynn go, she is an ibclc, she has clinic at pdh, she takes lactation concerns on her saturday clinic day, 1k lang singil niya.

Yes... I need to badly see a lactation counselor and a pedia who is breast feeding friendly. I'm really getting depress already. My baby has good amount and number of poops everyday but he is not gaining weight ng 500 grams per month.
