Suggested Schools in Alabang Area

^as far as i know, southville is a legit international school. the only thing thats not maganda in southville is the environment(kids) and siguro, super pampered ang students.

Yes, they are a legit school as far as "international" is concerned seeing as they offer (or they used to, not sure now) an actual IB degree for their students. I didn't say naman that they're not "legit international". I'm just saying wag ma-impress sa name. I think noon mas may bearing ang pagiging "international" pero now ang dami nang gumagamit ng name, parang wala na masyadong meaning. My old school is also an "international" school but no IB program, but in terms of performance across the board (college entrance as an indicator), mas ok pa performance sa school namin compared to SV, a "legit" international school.

As for environment, tama ka sis. Kahit sa college nila hindi maganda ang environment and yung fellow students :|

^nung time kasi namin..., way back then ok naman standards.It's just that, grabe lang talaga behavior ng students, super pampered kami in sisc siguro yun narin naging dahilan na most of our batchmates nahirapan magadjust sa college, so it's either di sila nakatapos nung college, or nag school hopping o course hopping sila hehe

  parang simula nung nagka local college sila. the one that offers nursing, education etc. dun pumangit ang image. opinion ko lang. dati kasi we only have yung southville foreign college. tapos now, pag napapadaan ako, they usually post this tarp tapos andun yung students who passed the top universities... grabe ang konti nalang

 i do agree regarding sa standards ng manresa, also zobel and yung seton... lamang sila ng bonggang bongga sa academics hehe.

 and kaloka some of the students ng local college, kung umasta feeling sosyal and talagang super yabang na international sila, which is hindi naman lol.

I enrolled my child this year in Ridgefield (Hillsborough, Alabang).  I like the traditional feel of the school that reminds me of my preschool (30plus years ago).  I hope I made the right choice. There is an orientation next Friday for new parents to understand more how their school works.

TF in zobel and manresa are  almost  the same.  i have daughter in zobel and also in manresa.  i would suggest zobel  if you really want quality education.   manresa is just ok but high priced na rin almost 70k na high school

My husband is from Southridge Paref school... ang masasabi ko lang super good talaga.. kasi lahat halos sila na makakaklase lahat pro na ngayon. and walang maitatapon sa kanila kagit isa kasi talagang matatalino silang lahat.nakapasa lahat sa mga magagandang school ng mag college and pasado lahat sa mga board exam and take one lang.. syempre dahil yun sa school na pinangalingan nila since elem.and high school..

Madali lang kaya makapasok sa Zobel? Mahirap kaya assessment test nila? I'm considering this school kasi na pag ha high schoolan ni Kuya (my eldest). At this time he is in Grade 2 & studying here in Qatar.

I highly recommend Woodrose if your family can afford it. Ingat lang sa requirements nila, medyo stringent since Opus Dei school, but they produce confident, articulate students. May laban, kumbaga. As mentioned, there's also Zobel. In the general Southern Manila area, Elizabeth Seton and Manresa are good and produce quality students here and there.

Perhaps more info on what you like and don't like would help narrow down your choices, as would budget.

The school I work for is very warm, professional and it's a progressive school. The ratio is 1:10 so your kids get more attention from the teachers. I know the teachers personally and all of them are of course professional and well-trained. The owner is an early childhood expert who was trained in the US. Being around for 45 years also can say a thing or two 

The preschool curriculum naman is arts-based but of course targets basic learning skills like reading, math and science. The campus is shaped like a home pa which I love, plus the wide garden / park spaces.

The school's name is the Learning Child School found in Alabang village 111 cordillera st.
There is a website and a facebook page.

Do you offer summer programs? If you do, can you PM me the schedule & available syllabus/courses. My 3 kids will be in 'Pinas during their school break & as early as now I'm thinking of what activity they could engage para they won't feel bored. I want them to interact as well sa ibang kids
