mga sis i jst have a question. pinipilit ako ng agent ko kumuha ng primelink na vul. pero iniisip ko, feeling ko hindi worth it, una sa lahat wala pako anak (soo feeling ko wala pa talaga akong legit na beneficiary) sa fund na to. more on death benefits kasi sya (and sympre the investment aspect na mababa ang surge, compared to stocks and mf standalone)

is it ok ba na kumuha ng life insurance lang or term insurance kasi i have other investment instruments naman like uitf, mf?

if yes, ang tanong ko lang is ok ba ang life insurance? more critical sakin ang CIB

^Yes, it's okay. What you're doing is Buy Term and Invest the Difference (BTID), which is what me and many of our sisses in the Term Life Insurance thread are doing.

Check out Sunlife's Life Assure. It's one of their best products. The sum assured will be paid out to you if you get acquire any of the covered critical illnesses, OR at the event of your death, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. You can also get their renewable term insurance called Sun Safer Life and just add a critical illness rider to it if you want to be covered if you become critically ill AND at death.

^sis how much siya annually? Paano payment terms? I am planning to get an insurance by first quarter of 2015. I am trying to familiarize myself first kung ano ano features ng mga insurance.

Mine is 105k annually. I pay annually din. But it's up to you, you can pay monthly, quarterly, or annually. Explain to your agent how much you are comfortable to pay for and he/she will adjust it accordingly. Go for it! Keep making decisions. :)

Hello! Regarding VUL insurance vs. BTID, my hubby, who is a lawyer and Philam Life financial advisor, wrote a blog about it. Go here ---> http://terencecamua.com/2014/10/15/what-is-a-vul-and-why-is-it-a-good-investment/

Here's another good one from Sun Life financial advisor Nick Raquel ---> http://mutualfundphilippines.com/2013/12/mutual-fund-university/vul-vs-mutual-fund-plus-term-insurance/

^^ Thanks for sharing Sis. Very timely kasi I'm torn between getting a VUL or term insurance, or both.

More or less, for maxilink prime, how much would the annual premium be for a 30yr old female, face amount 1M?

Also, will it matter if i get now considering the equity market seems to be at an all time high?

Hi mga sis. Me and my hubby both have insurance na. Me with Sunlife(Flexilink) and Hubby with Prulife. What we are planning naman this time is for the kids. What do you suggest kaya na plan? Ang gusto sana namin yung plan na pwede namin gamitin for their education, savings plus if ever magkasakit sila. Meron kayang ganun? Hehe. They are 6 and 7yo.

^ Sa current K12 system, 18 yrs old ang age ng mga bata ngayon pagtuntong ng 1st yr college. To answer your question Sis, you will need to do a financial needs analysis. Simply, cocomputin yung college tuition fee at that time when they go to college, and add other financial needs na you want covered.

From this analysis you will know how much you would need. May target amount ka na. Then pag may target na, saka ipepresent yung mga solutions.

You will need to sit down with your trusted advisor who is from Sun Life.

^ Sis danda,

Depende po.

If term insurance yan na participating (meaning, may cash value), possible na mag lapse if wala pang cash value

If VUL yan, mag lapse rin if hindi enough yung fund to pay the insurance charges.

To ease your mind, you can do the following:

1) Contact your advisor
2) Call on Sun Life's hotline at 849-9888

And ask for the status of your policy
