Hello haba ng backread ko this thread is very helpful :)

Hi sis!

Glad to have stumbled in here

My Mom is 63 yrs old. It took about 2 months for her Flexilink plan to be approved. Thank you Sun Life. Pang estate tax man lang, malaking bagay na yun. Atsaka di ko talaga expected na ma insure siya kasi senior na pero since good health pa, na approve naman. Strict talaga ang Sun Life.

He's 61. Approval is underway.

Kay sisters, puro Flexilink.

I think the main factors are Critical Illness Benefit coverages and affordability

Tapos I have them invest sa COL Financial (stock market) on the side. Kasi yun naman ay pang investments.

May COL investments na ako kaya ang kukunin ko on top of my other insurance policies ay Flexilink just for the CIB rider.

Price wise magkano kaya difference? Thinking of getting my parents too, nasa magkano kaya monthly for 53 and 55?

^ Sis, approach your financial advisor and ask that you take an FNA or Financial Risk Analysis

Taking it will help you find answers such as what is your priority financial goal, and how much really is your need

Mahirap yan.

May monthly payments, mpa VUL or yung traditional
insurance. Sa traditional insurance, mas malaki ang
bayad kung mas frequent ang iyong payments.
Ibig sabihin, mas malaki ang bayad mo pag monthly,
tas quarterly, tas semi annual. Walang dagdag pag
annual.

Sa VUL pwede kang mag top-up.

^ Hi Sis,

1) Based on Occupation

Another example, If say Seaman ka there is a certain position na may rating instead of Standard (no rating)

2) Based on country of occupation

Example, if you work in China, may rating.

Meron naman Declined. Possible reason is kasi sa bansang yun ay walang Sun Life accredited Doctor or Hospital in case of emergencies, in case anything happens.

Clarify with your Agent bakit ka may rating: was it due to the country of employment? Or was it due to profession?

Hope this helps.

^due to our place of work daw

^ Yes. If sa Pinas ulit mag work, mawawala ang rating if it is due to place of work.

Dapat within Philippines lang ang signing of application.

hi mga sis!

would you know if may level term si sunlife na good for 15 or 20 years? yung safer life kasi every 5 years lang yung amount then adjust ulit. i was wondering if merong fixed amount for a longer term. medyo maliit lang ang budget eh, around 5k per year pa lang ang kaya ko. :) thanks in advance!

Hi!

Or depende sa location?

I decided last January to get the Sun Maxilink Prime VUL.
Why? Because it's a life insurance and a portion of your premium gets invested in different funds which can generate earnings for you. It's payable for 10 years and thereafter, you can use the earnings of your fund to pay for the succeeding charges.  :)

I also have Sunlife Maxilink Prime. sis ang premium depende pa rin sa age mo, at maraming iba pang factors. mine is around 27k per year with a face amount of 500k--insurance benefit is 1M. malapit na ako mag-1 year sa Feb. so far ang price per unit niya naglalaro sa 2.8 to 3.6 ok naman for me, kasi ang 4.0 ay mejo optimistic na since nasa balanced fund ako. pero maybe i might change it to equity pag mas marami na ipon...
