if you were in my shoes, would you also ask for a replacement or just accept the contract containing the forged signatures?

I definitely will not accept the forged signatures.
Its a contract, everything has to be above board.

And why would you protect the agent? So she
can perpetuate her misdeeds and do the same
to others?

^i was lead to believe that my beneficiaries will get atleast a million if ever something happens to me.. and also sabi sakin pede daw ako magdagdag ng money anytime if i want to. kaya ko kasi mas pinili yun flexilink1 (100k premium)

The 25% is the minimum death benefit but you're agent could
have added more coverage to make it 1M.

You really should read the proposal over again and make sure
you really really understand it.

Yes, you can invest more money technically anytime. They're
called top-ups.
Top-ups also increase the death benefit so Sunlife might
ask for evidence of insurability.

thanks sisses for your reply. i already called sunlife's customer service and the agent told me to send an email to their sunlink email ad. i asked nga sana if i can talk directly to their CS manager pero that was the SOP daw? that agent pa naman was a former office mate. i regret getting that policy from her. she was from bulacan kasi so bka instead of going to me in manila e she opted to just copy my signatures. akala nya ok lang sa akin since i agreed naman daw with everything. but i said its a contract and i want every signatures there to be mine and not forged. :(

How do we ask for investment certificates? Gagamitin sana namin for visa application. Andun lahat halos ng extra money namin sa MF e.

@Maycon, that's fine sis. I've also engaged a manager
via email and I prefer it that way instead of talking to
her over the phone.

Emails would serve as written records of our
conversation whereas phone calls although
supposedly recorded is inferior to emails.

Does Sunlife charge additional if from quarterly payment eh mag annual payments ako? instead of giving 12,500 4x eh mag one time payment ako ng 50k per year?

Hi sis, no extra charge if you want to change your payment mode from quarterly to annual. :)

^i was lead to believe that my beneficiaries will get atleast a million if ever something happens to me..

Hi sis, what do you mean? With Sun Flexilink1, the 25% is the minimum death benefit, so if you invest 100k, the death benefit will only be 25k. This product is more of an investment kasi.

How do we ask for investment certificates? Gagamitin sana namin for visa application. Andun lahat halos ng extra money namin sa MF e.

Hi sis. Tell your financial advisor so she can file a request from Sun Life. :)

Sis I'm sorry to hear about your experience. :( Kahit na malayo sya, she still shouldn't have forged those signatures. Better to send an email to Sun Life's CS. This way, everything is documented.

Hello sis. For 1M coverage at age 35, annual premium is 8,600.

This is for Sun Life Assure - meaning, if you get diagnosed with any of the listed critical illnesses, you get the 1M and the life insurance protection terminates. If you don't get diagnosed naman and you pass away, your beneficiaries get the 1M.

For Sun Safer Life, 2M is the minimum death benefit kasi. For a 2M death benefit at age 35, annual premium is 9,500. :)

Sis, what if there are top ups? Will it increase the death benefit?

Can someone also answer these questions i sent to my agent? Gusto ko ng ibang pov.

I got Sunlife Flexlink VUL coverage 2M. I am 33 yo. This is payable 4k/mo.

1. From the illustration in table under Premium Holiday Illustration, is it true that in the event that the investment is performing at at least 4%, the plan can already pay for itself in the 11th year until the end of the plan and that i dont have to pay the 4k/mo?

2. If I reach the age of 65 yo, can I withdraw the "investment" part and dividends as my retirement funds? And still be covered with insurance of 2M and other riders? If I withdraw the investment money, do I have to pay for the 4k/mo again until age 88 yo?

3. If I cant withdraw the investment and dividend part --what is considered as my retirement fund, which is the thing that I am after here? And at what age can I get it?

4. In the event that I dont get to live until 65 yo (or whatever age that I can pull out my retirement funds), will my beneficiaries get the 2M plus the investments plus dividends?

Hi sis. Let me confirm. :)

Insurance coverage = 25% of amount you invested
Death benefit = insurance coverage + fund value at the time the death is reported

So if you invest 100k:
Insurance coverage = 25k
Death benefit = 25k + fund value at the time the death is reported

Technically, the death benefit can increase if you do top-ups because top-ups generally increase your investment's fund value. The 25% insurance coverage is fixed.

@Lianne -

Examples:

1. I invested 100k today and I die after 10yrs - How much is the death benefit?
2. I invested 100k today + added 10k in 2015 and I die after 10yrs - How much is the death benefit?
3. I invested 100k today + added 10k in 2015 + withdrew 5k in 2016 and I die after 10yrs - How much is the death benefit?

Thanks.

@mrscardenas2011,

1.) If that's what the illustration shows then yes. Basically,
as long as your fund value is enough to absorb the monthly charges
then you're good.

2.) Note that strictly speaking, there is no "dividends" when it comes
to VULs.

Yes, you can take out money from your policy and again as long as your
fund value is enough to absorb the monthly charges then you're good.

ex.

Assuming the monthly charges(this would show as admin charges on Sunlife's
online portal) is 250.

And assuming your fund value is 100,000.

If you withdraw 99,750 then you have one month's worth
but by next month you'll have to "top-up"

If you withdraw just 10,000 then you should be good.

4.) Yes, the insurance benefit is the face amount which
is 2M according to your post plus the fund value.

Still thinking if vul or term and invest in Mutualfund.  I heard that it would be hard to do tops ups for the vul if OFW.

^You can do top ups online via banks (bpi/bdo).
