@ sis Yanmae. I dont have a flexilink but I have the idea how this plan was package. It's like this: UITF + Insurance with 2% bonus on the 10th year and every 5 years thereafter base on average fund. Like all other VUL's wala itong endowment, wala din itong dividends, and the returns are not guaranteed.  Eh ano ang maganda dito? Since the money in the VUL's is directly invested in the stock market and bonds, there is a higher possibility of gaining a lot through Unit Appreciation compare to traditional plans but, the policy holder bears the risk of loosing at the same time.

@swit_squiggle - Sis you mean 2 % ng face value ang bonus after 10 years?

@babythug28 - Sis, yung sunlife sun maxilink prime ba may endowment yan or dividends?

One more thing it's not given as a bonus but given to buy more units. if you withdraw it dun lang lumalabas ang realize gain.

Tama si babythug28, huwag kang mahiyang magtanong.

@sheng_kah the annual excess premium is used as a cushion.

Remember that in VUL's hindi guaranteed ang premium and your money is directly invested in the stock market. In the event that the market crash + charges on insurances dito rin kinukuha meron tendency na kukulangin ang fund sis, especially during the first three years ng policy kung saan ang lalaki ng charges. This is only one of the reason used by many agents.

Last week, I availed of Sunlife's VUL, I forgot the name. From night duty kasi ako so i guess Hindi ko na absorb mga details masyado. My plan is 50k annually,  1M insured plus 1M for accident and disability. So total of 2M daw. I already paid 12500, as quarterly payment. Now, after reading this thread, I'm thinking if  tama ba ginawa ko, parang Mahal pala nakuha ko. Pwede namam pla mas mababa na plan.  I said I had this amount of money as my savings. He asked me how much I'm willing to open for them, and he ask me if I want daw, I can be insured for 2M. He computed, then sabi 50k daw annually. Since I have that money naman, I agreed. He was actually persuading me to give it as one payment, but I decided yesterday na il make quarterly payment nlang. Fault ko din naman na pagod and puyat ko sya kinausap, but He's my friend, so I trusted him so much. But after reading this thread, I guess I made a wrong decision. Should have choosen a lower plan. Para sure na mababayaran ko in the future.

Is there a chance na mabago ko pa yung premium ko? Like maybe lower it khit half?

(annual excess premium or anything that says
excess premium?)

^ life insurance ba sis?

^[textspeak!] FAMI ko sis lugi pa ko 2k, mataas kasi namin shang nabili (4.52 ang NAVPS) and hanggang ngayon hindi pa namin nababawi. as for our sunlife, medyo malaki na kinita namin since we started investing this January. yung iba malaki na kinita sa FAMI kasi mababa yung NAVPS nung nag invest sila.

What kind of fund ang kinuha mo? Goal ko kasi kumuha na ng MF this year. Gusto ko sana Sunlife since mukhang stable at mas convenient pero from the MF thread here, maraming mas gusto FAMI. Nalilito tuloy ako.

@komodojo

Equity both FAMI and Sunlife. maganda naman din performance ng FAMI pero masyado ng mataas ngayon. sobrang OK para sa mga nakapag invest na before kasi tumutubo na sila.

so far hindi na muna namin dinadagdagan yung sa FAMI kasi ngayon pa lang kami bumabawi sa ininvest namin. siguro kung sabay kaming nag open ng Sunlife and FAMI, pareho lang din halos yung tinubo nila by now. :) 4 months ahead kasi kaming nag open ng Sunlife then by the time na nakapag open na kami FAMI dun naman biglang bumaba yung NAVPS >.<

I enrol my account sa kanilang sunlink online since im always checking my email everyday. I see to it din na mark ang mga payments date and i dont soley entrust my payments kung kailan lang darating ang billing statement.hehe. Tumawag din ako sa kanilang call center and yeah..10 minutes bago sagutin. Sa ibang company ganito din kaya? Siguro. But i dont mind, hindi lang naman kasi ako mag isa ang client nila. I bet there are hundreds of thousands of us who are trying to call their hotline every minute.

SunLife is the Insurance Company of the wealthy, the Chinese and the famous personality. This is SunLife's target market. Kung bakit hindi siya kilala noon, it's because SunLife does not cater small insurance coverage na maliliit lang noon. True to its word, that every Filipino family needs to be covered, they opened small coverage para sa masa, para kahit papaano ay merong insurance, thus, they started their massive campaign on risk management.

Thank you for bringing that into my attention. I will bring this up to proper authorities para naman mabigyan ng solusyon na eadjust ang pagpapadala ng billing. If its the courier na siya ang cause ng delay, our apologies, this is an extrinsic factor that is outside the scope of SunLife.

Your calls are important to us no matter how simple the inquiry is. Be patient in calling our centers as they were receiving influx of inquiry each minute catering thousands of calls a day.  Just like what smartstarter said, I suggest you enrol your accounts in Sunlink Online to avoid the hassle of not receiving your premium billings on time and conveniently access it in the comfort of your homes via the internet.
