^mxherr5 thank you for taking time to explain, appreciated  :)  actually, mas naintindihan ko pa explantion mo kesa sa explanation ng agent ko when i called her. she wasnt able to give me kasi the percentage ng periodic charge. though she explained naman na yung COI increases every year pero minimal lang daw. ayan, matatahimik nako :D

Whoa? Di nga? Wow.. I'd look for another agent or
baka baguhan lang [textspeak!]? hehe

Yeah, COI increases very slowly from age 0-50
pero from age 50 onward it increases EXPONENTIALLY.

I don't know what kind of proposal your agent gave you
but mine had the charges illustrated. I know that's
not always the case because my other policy's proposal
doesn't have the illustrated charges.

If your's doesn't then you can request for the COI rate
from your agent or I guess I could email it to you.

I plan to lower down the face amount when I'm older
so the COI wouldn't eat up the fund value.

^sis pwedeng ganun basta bigyan ka lang nya ng temporary receipt ng company. ang ginawa kasi namin ni hubby, pinuntahan namin yung agent sa Makati office nila since first time din namin makipag transact. dun na din kami nagbayad sa office, the same day.

pero ngayong kilala na namin yung agent and 3 na sa family members ko yung kumuha ng mutual fund sa kanya, willing na sya and kaming papuntahin dito sa bahay pag mag open na dad ko ng mutual fund this october.

Ah ganun pala talga.

^[textspeak!] FAMI ko sis lugi pa ko 2k, mataas kasi namin shang nabili (4.52 ang NAVPS) and hanggang ngayon hindi pa namin nababawi. as for our sunlife, medyo malaki na kinita namin since we started investing this January. yung iba malaki na kinita sa FAMI kasi mababa yung NAVPS nung nag invest sila.

regarding payment ng premium, pwede auto debit or online payment (BDO, BPI, etc). kay hubby, naka-monthly auto-debit sya with BPI tas yun saken naman na annual, i pay thru BPI expressonline.

sunlife is a good product only if the agents are as concerned about their client's financial wellness as much as they are concerned with their commission.... madalas kasi makapag benta lang maski alam nilang pababa ang fund value... kailangan talaga mas vigilant ang customers

And why would that be a bad thing?
Unless maybe they're selling a single pay VUL.

But even so, how can you really say that "pababa"
ang NAV? I've been monitoring Sunlife's NAV and the PSEi
as well since late 2007, the peak just before the market crash.

Its very hard to determine if the NAV would continue to go
down or suddenly shoot up.

During the recovery year of 2009, it was mirred by sporadic
downturns, its only now, looking back that you can say that oh yeah,
2009 was an up year for the market. There were a couple of times when
it looked like the market was going to loose all of its gains.

Need your advise mga sis.

^I'll try to ask my bf about this kasi sunlife financial advisor siya pero bakit sobrang laki naman ng premium mo? I'll try my best to give you a feedback on that.
