Charity Themed Kids Birthday Party

^ kami, sis. don kami nag birthday pero hindi siya party talaga kasi the kids are 1 year old and below lang, babies pa. we just had a small salo salo with the caregivers then we gave the goods na.

but i am not sure if they allow this talaga for anybody. i'm sure they welcome the help but i dont know how to go about it. my cousin was the one who arranged this for me.

I just made a reservation at RSCC on May. God willing, dun gaganapin 3rd birthday party ng daughter ko. There are more or less 50 kids and 25 caregivers for that day. My plan in mind for the party:

- Order kami ng food sa Jollibee sa Munoz branch (Jolly hotdog and burger steak. Wag daw muna spaghetti kasi lagi daw yun ang kinakain ng mga bata). Kami na lang bibili ng drinks outside para medyo hindi mahal yung rate ng Jollibee samen. Then order ng Nestle ice cream with vendor and cart.

- Cake of course and birthday banner

- Balloons to make the place happy

- I also contacted my photographer friend to document the event and he can do it for free daw. Yey! Pero bawal daw kuhanan ng picture ng malapitan yung mga bata.

- Donations

I hope and pray that it will push through the same as I thought

Buhayin ko lang topic na to.... Any suggestion sa orphanage within Mandaluyong na pwedeng mag celebrate ng kiddie birthday party. How much ba budget pag ganitong party? Siguro max na ang 30 kids.

we did this nung 6th birthday ng daughter ko. we coordinated with the organization's head tapos we booked a Jollibee branch. i just asked kung ilan kids lahat ang pupunta, then yung age bracket nila para sa hinanda namin na prizes ng games and giveaways.

we got photo booth and pinalabas namin yung 5 mascots ng Jollibee. hindi lang kami nag candle blowing kasi hindi na namin sinabi na birthday ng daughter ko. it's more of a "worry free day" for the kids kasi karamihan sa kanila may sakit.

^sis yung  inyo, kids ang pumunta sa Jollibee? Mas prefer ko sana na sa orphanage mismo ang party. Pwedeng naman Siguro order na lang sa fast food and if possible me mascot din. Plan ko me program din and games in which mga kids mag participate.

This is such a wonderful idea I have to remember this pag magpapa birthday na ako.hehe tanong ko lang, kung may number of kids lang ang pwede pumunta pano nila pinipili kung sino mkakasama? How about the other kids na hindi napili? Naawa naman ako. Gano karami ba usually ang kids sa isang orphanage?

^me nabasa kase ko na pwede mo I request Kung ilang kids at age bracket nila.. Pero depende din Siguro sa orphanage. Pero Kung carry ng budget to accommodate all kids, why not di ba?

^ not in Mandaluyong but in nearby San Juan - White Cross Children's Home. Sa may Santolan lang. We're scheduled there this coming May - 1st bday ng daughter ko.

Nagpunta na kami dun a week ago para makipag-usap sa admin. For food, they prefer na hindi fastfood kasi madalas na daw ang fastfood. Kanin, rice, fruits ang preferred. As to the number of kids, meron sila current count according to age range. Medyo mahirap magbigay ng exact number kasi kawawa nga naman if may maeexclude from the same "house/dorm". Syempre, magbabago yun as the party date approaches so coordinate na lang with them. Di naman super dami ng nasa "party range" na kids, roughly 50kids last time we checked.

Mag 2nd birthday na anak ko and napag usapan namin ni mister na sa mga ganitong institutions kami magcecelebrate na yearly. We're from antipolo and ang alam kong malapit sa amin e yung good shepherd. Hindi ko pa yun napupuntahan kaya sana ok lang sa kanila. Naisip ko hindi na ko na lang include yung blowing of the birthday cake. Maghanda na lang  kami ng separate sa house. Excited na ako maski sa November pa 😊

yes sis, sila ang pumunta sa Jollibee. yung mga kids kasi hindi naman orphans but they have rare disorders. merong may kaya, merong tama lang and meron na mas wala. the day was for the kids para maging masaya naman sila despite their conditions. under sila ng isang organization and we asked kung ilang kids, anong age bracket. then we requested na they wear a certain color that day and humingi din ako ng list of attendees para sa registration.

I decided to do this tuwing birthday ko na lang (December) para in line sa Christmas but of course I do engage both of my kids (lalo na yung panganay ko) during the party.

Last year, I hosted a party sa Grace to be Born in Pasig City - this is a shelter for abandoned pregnant women/babies. Very rewarding ang feeling.

We had our daughter's 2nd birthday in an orphanage (Concordia Children's Services) last year. It was a blessing na hindi kami nahirapan sa coordination because my daughter's ninong did all the legwork for us. I think around 15 kids yun plus mga 10 babies.

It was just simple celebration. Since there are babies, my mother cooked lugaw, then we have the usual birthday handa like spaghetti, fried chicken, pansit,  hotdogs and mallows and syempre yung cake. Instead of gifts, I indicated on the invite that they can bring anything for the orphanage - the caregivers gave us a list of supplies, things they really need on a daily basis like tolietries and other food items. It's such a warm feeling to see these goods piling up in one corner.

Our church located at Timog Avenue QC regularly does feeding ministry every Sunday. They feed and teach about 70- 100 street kids. So if your looking for a beneficiary I can give you the contact details. Hindi din particular masyado on what type of food to bring. You can do fastfood, lutong bahay, whatever. 2000 can go a long way. If your planning to bring your child along just be prepared kasi amoy steet kids talaga.

Two weeks ago, we had an advanced 1st bday celebration for my daughter at White Cross. Supposedly about 60kids, but almost 20 (1 dorm) were in isolation kasi me nagka-chicken pox. Sa actual party, nasa around 40 lang - some were really small kids pa. Yung naka-isolate, yung mga girls na nasa playing-age sana. Anyway, we spent about 50k, which includes:
  - lootbags (we prepared 70 lootbags - contents: school supplies, toys, some snacks, drinks etc. Mostly sourced from Divi + supermarket. Total cost was about 150/lootbag)
  - prizes for games (we bought 50 assorted prizes, sourced from Divi din, about 40-50/item. We wanted kasi yung medyo maeenjoy din ng kids na prizes)
  - food for kids (afternoon yung party and White Cross admin requested na early dinner ang iserve for the kids. And wag fastfood. They preferred rice + giniling w/ sauce and quail egg + bottled water + saging). And not pre-packed kasi their caregivers ang maglalagay ng food kasi the smaller kids daw hindi makakaubos so sayang if prepacked. Yung naka-isolation, hinatid na lang sa dorm nila yung food.
  - snacks for adults (we ordered prepacked pansit canton and chicken sandwich for the adults - we're about 20pax na pumunta + 10pax na caregivers and admin staff)
  - sorbetero cart. Was supposed to have a candy buffet set-up but the admin said they try to discourage too much sweets for the kids. Pumayag sila sa sorbetero so yun na lang. We got a cart for 100pax so for everyone - kids and adults alike.
  - host/magician. I hired one to facilitate the games and to provide entertainment. The usual magician&clown tandem - me balloon twisting din sila).
  - styling/decor (i got The Party People Party Organizers to prettify the covered court - me balloons, paper lanterns, etc. Simple decors + mini-backdrop + booth for prizes, cake table, table covers for the kiddie tables, etc.
  - Total cost for the food+host/magician+sorbetero+styling/decor was about 25k. We got all of these thru The Party People Party Organizers na din.
  - cake (i ordered a single-layer fondant cake for about 2k). For the candle-blowing pa din. Inuwi din namin ang cake.
  - groceries for donation: we spent about 9k at S&R - the orphanage has a list of their needs and we just chose from the list. We opted to provide them in bulk, with Tide laundry detergent (we bought the large tubs na tig-10kg each) + Tide bars + big bottles of 70% alcohol + trash bags.

In hindsight, we could have lowered the cost to 40k. Madami sobrang lootbags and food e. Yung ibang lootbags pinamigay namin sa kids around the neighborhood. Yung sobrang food and drinks, iniwan na namin sa kitchen ng White Cross. And the groceries for donation e optional lang din naman so pwede rin yun wala. So perhaps for 30k pwede na din.

Next year, we plan on doing this again for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Pero hanap kami ng another orphanage, para maiba naman.
