travel date ko sa bohol is from march 10 -15 .... tagal di ba? At solo travel lang ito. Kasama na diyan ang rest and siyempre pasyal-pasyal on the side.

What's your tips for this lone traveler? Kasi lahat ng nakikita ko sa web is for sharing at ang mahal pag isa ka lang? so unfortunate when youre single LOL

Whats the cheapest deal? at ano ang pinakamalapit na place to stay na affordable sa Tagbilaran airport?

^ sa town ka ba mag sstay sis, ok den naman kung sa beach area like sa Dumaluan, para mas sulit ang vacation mo sa Bohol... like sa DBR2, meron P1,300 a night, meron pa mas cheaper dun siguro sa DBR1 ... kung mahilig ka naman sa mga happy-happy pwede den sa Alona side

sis, we're back from bohol. as i've mentioned, sa Bolod Beach Resort kami nag stay ni hubby. Halos dulo na sya ng dumaluan side.  magkakatabi sila ng Bogobo Beach Resort & white & Greens. Medyo malayo sya sa labasan kasi sinara daw ng Dumaluan yung dating daanan ng mga tao to the Bolod & WG. di pa sementado daan, pero kung me service naman kayo, ok lang.

Magkakatabi yung cottages. Pinili namin yung malayo sa beachfront kasi me mga open cottages dun & maingay pag me mga nagre-rent. Tahimik na sa gabi. Malinis yun cottage(room) me hot/cold shower, (maalat nga lang tubig). Malakas yung tubig sa faucet pero yung sa shower head at sink mahina. Ang wi-fi located lang dun sa reception area. Me cable din sila. Me bfast na din kasama.

4d3n kami nag stay. si RJ yung kinuha namin sa tour packages, si Bryan yung driver namin except nung last day. Si RJ, yung may-ari na naghatid sa airport at nanghingi din ng feedback sa amin. Ok sila, magagalang naman kausap.

Sa Alona, parang Boracay. madaming kainan unlike sa Dumaluan side. Sa DBRGrill din kami kumakain pag gabi. Kaya lang nauubusan din ng tinda. Last night na namin dun nalaman na me naoorderan yung Bolod ng pagkain na reasonable naman ang presyo.

Add ko lang nung 1st day namin, nakaabot kami maglakad lagpas pa ng Bohol Beach Club. Picture picture kasi wala masyado tao nung hapon. Pag gabi high tide na.

Nakakita din kami ng dolphins.

We were able to check out Bellevue Beach Resort (buti na lang sunny that day!)... Their eternity pool was nice and so's the beach area. Maliit lang yung lugar pala nila mas malawak pa rin ang Mactan Shangri-La.

sis, yung beach ba sa Bellevue ay fine white sand? kasing-ganda ba ng Bolod Beach (BBC area)?

^Pareho lang mga sand nila but mas malawak and mahaba area ng BBC. If you want to see pics I took some in my blog. Ang kagandahan lang sa Bellevue, solo nyo pa yung lugar kasi sila pa lang yung resort dun.

^ah pareho lang sand nila? kasi when i looked at pictures, parang magkaiba.. parang mas brown-ish yung sand sa Bellevue, pero yung sa may BBC area looks similar to Boracay's  white sand..

Naku, sana naman close to boracay sand yung sa Bellevue. I was the one who insisted to vacay in Bohol rather than boracay again.

Hi there, GT girls!

What's the best beach/resort in Bohol to take the kids? My family is planning to go to Bohol this April. 9 adults kami and we'll be bringing along kids, two 7 yr olds and one 2 yr old.

Mas ok ba sa Dumaluan side kaysa Alona? If ever, we're planning to stay sa DBR2. Pero baka kasi better kung sa Alona.

Also, nakahanap ako ng tour package inclusive of airfare (Zest Air at Cebu Pac). Nasa 10k for adults, 9.5k for the 7 yr olds and 8.5k for the 2 yr old. Stay is at DBR2 (4D/3N). Tour package includes countryside tour, Panglao/Dauis tour, dolphin watching and island hopping. Tingin nyo sulit na ito? Or better/mas makakatipid kung kami nalang magbook ng flights and accommodation tapos kuha nalang ng tour package?

Wow! Too pricey yung package kasi we took our daughter to Bohol last year. We paid for her airfare lang. Free naman siya sa hotel and tour. Hanap na lang kayo ng flights, sis then book your hotel and tour guide.  Madali lang since madaming reliable na pagpipilian for the tour guides and hotels offer packages naman.

@gulaysk, let's do a breakdown of the package given to you compared to DIY.

Package price for 4D3N: 9 adults X 10K = 90K / 2kids(7yo) X 9.5K = 19K / 1kid(2yo) X 8.5K = 8.5K
Total price all-in = Php117,500 (tama ba?)

DIY (estimate fare for Apr):

Just made a mock booking on CebPac for the ff dates: (kids aged 2-11yrs old same fare as adults)
21Apr (lowest base fare) Php1399++
24Apr (50% Promo)       Php699.50++

Total fare (all pax with 15kgs bags both ways) = Php42,147

Since this is in April and peak season yan, let's say the cheapest family room na makuha mo is Php3500 (triple sharing) X 3 rooms = Php10,500/night X 3 nights
Total accommodation = Php31,500

Tours (van rental good for 10-12 pax with driver)
Countryside Tour       Php3500
Dauis/Panglao Tour    Php2500
Total tours = Php5500

**I don't know the prevailing rates for the dolphin watching/island tour but it shouldn't cost you more that 5K for a big banca.

Grand total for DIY: Php79,147 or let's round it off to Php80,000

Savings: Php37,500 (estimate)


So, yeah I'll echo what the others have said. It is way cheaper to DIY your trip. Of course it will mean planning/organizing everything on your own. But it is all worth it

Mabigat nga talaga yung almost 10k/person. I also tried to compute the expenses if we'll opt for a diy tour at mas mura nga talaga. Special thanks to mama squeak for the sample diy computation. : )

A couple more questions: Can you girls recommend someone na pwede i-contact para sa Bohol tour? Our parents will be coming with us (senior citizens na) so gusto ko sana isa nalang ang contact for the countryside tour, Panglao/Dauis tour and island hopping para hindi stress drilon for us at lalo na sa nanay ko na mega OC. Hehe.

Also, saan ba ang better shoreline for the kids, Dumaluan side or Alona?
