infant cough and colds

pajoin,si baby ko kasi sa gabi lang siya parang may sipon..sa umaga naman wala,pero pag tulog na sya sa gabi parang hindi sya makahinga..nag try ako i suction yung nose nya pero wala naman ako masyado nakuhang sipon,para nga lang water kasi malabnaw hindi malapot..Tapos gumawa din ako ng Salinase solution,pero wala din naman ako nakuhang sipon..ao kaya to mga sis?may halak din si baby,hindi kaya yun connected?

pag may halak, most prolly may colds.. i always have salinase with me para pag stuffy yung nose ng baby ko. it's really helpful together with safety first aspirator which i got from baby co. and my baby likes to sleep ng nakataob either sa tummy ko or sa chest ng dad nya. in that way easier ang pagbreathe. okay din if naka elevate yung head nya, good thing with bassinets.

mnsan sis, halak comes pag di napa burp ng maayos si baby after feeding. im not sure if this applies to all, but at least for my baby it does.. and my mom said when i was a baby ganun din daw ako. lol.

my baby has cough and colds which started the other day. lahat kami sa bahay din kasi may cough and colds, maybe due to the weather changes. ano ba signs of pneumonia? takot ako baka viral pneumonia or the likes. we live in a small town, the closest pedia available is 2 hours ride.

sis sabi ng pedia ni baby pag may fever na 38degreees pataas tas cold and cough for 3 days baka magkapneumonia na si baby. Kaya better pag sinipon si baby check up agad.

Baby ko 7th day na may colds, tumutulo naman sya kusa.. Pero nagaspirate din kami para mahelp namin sya na lumabas lahat ng sipon

4 and a half months na sya, binigyan ng nasatapp 0.5 ml twice a day.

Mas madali gumaling si baby nung nagbreastfeed sya sakin. Ngayon kasi na nakaformula 7days na sipon pa din. Dati 2-3 days la na sipon.

Wawa ang baby pag sipon at ubo.hindi sila makatulog ng maayos, wawa din mommy at daddy..

At saka pala pag matamlay at hindi na tawa si baby, siguradong masama na pakiramdam nya kaya kelangan na talaga makita ni pedia. Si baby ko kasi palaging happy tas tawa ng tawa kaya hindi naman kami masyadong worried..

baby ko din pang 6 days niya na ngayon na may cough and cold..nasatapp din medicine niya then ambroxol tapos meron pa isang anti asthma..but im worried kasi ganun padin si baby mas lumakas yung halak niya.. di ko na alam gagawin ko..parang matamlay na din baby ko ngayon..

Sis ilang months baby mo?
Kase one thing na kailangn mo iobserve sa kanya is breathing... Kung walang fever, hindi ibig sabihin walang pneumonia.
Kapag 0-2months si baby, if more than 60 breaths per minute, pneumonia na yun
Kapag 2months-1 year, if more than 50 breaths per min, pneumonia na yun
And for tots 1-5 yrs old, more than 40 breaths per min, pneumonia na yun.

Baby ko last week pa nagstart sipon nia without cough. So i brought him sa pedia agad. Niresetahan ng disudrin for 3 days, virlix for 1week (allergy ang nature ng colds nia) and pedzinc para makarecover daw.

Pero kahapon ibinalik ko siya ulet sa pedia kase biglang inubo.yung tipong 30secs straight ang ubo bago tumigil... Pedia heard wheezes so kailangn niya magnebulize but not pure salbutamol (just half of it with 2cc of plain NSs)... And pinag antibiotic na, clarithromycin... Kaso isinusuka ni baby yung antibiotic... Mapait pala... So what i did, inihahalo ko yung med niya sa not-so-cold ice cream, para lang matake niya yung gamot... And buti kinakain naman niya without knowing na may 'bangis' pala ang ice cream niya 

Pinapatakan ko din siya ng Salinase mga 4x a day then aspirate... Ive tried a lot of nasal aspirators... Yung mga nabili ko sa mall, walamg nagwork sa amin... Though the bulb type (i mean yung buong rubber, walang part na nadedettach, usual na gamit sa hospital) is working for us, i found something better than that.
Babycomfynose nasal aspirator, manual sucking pero not with direct contact...

is it ok na magtake parin ng ceelin kahit na nagtatake baby ko ng medicine for cough and cold?

di ko muna kasi pinag take ng vit. baby ko kasi 3 na iniinom niya na gamot kaya instop ko muna..ceelin with zinc na vit. niya ngayon eh.. ang inaalala ko lang pang 5 days niya na sa gamot na binigay ni pedia sa kanya but still may cough padin siya..lakas pa halak niya

Nagnenebulize ba baby mo sis? Si baby ko kase though he is not labeled with asthma pa, nung nagkahalak siya pinagnebulize as needeed pero half strenght lang with plain normal saline solution na 2cc... It worked for him sis... Nawala ang halak... Pero bumalik after a few weeks... In his case less ang coughing that time, more on sneezing sa morning at night, signs ng allergy... Nung nagkaganun, pinag steroids siya sis ng five days... Almost 4 months siyang walang symptoms after that... Ngayon na lang ulet

Yung nagka cough and colds yung 9mths old baby girl ko, niresetahan sya ng cefaclor antibacterial tapos snif nasal fluid pampatak sa nose. Nagnebu din sya combivent half lang then lalagyan ng salinase. Ayun after 4days okay na sya.

4 days ng naka himox na anti biotic ang baby ko pero parang walang effect.
nag nebulize din sya every 6 hours. at may zinc pang vitamins.

sis my pedia recommend ambroxol mucosolvan for my baby. Effective siya. After 5 days wala na siya ubo.

if may ubo sipon si baby i always bring him to a pulmo-pedia. before nung nag 10months my LO hindi nawawala yung ubo niya. we tried antibiotic and even nebulization pabalik balik lang. then his pedia said dahil daw madumi yung place namin, which is totoo naman. and hubby has family history of asthma so diagnosis niya is asthmatic si LO. then my cousin recommended this pulmo-pedia. we gave it a try. pinakita ko yun reseta ng isang pedia niya and nagulat siya why use the same old meds eh hindi naman daw nawawala yung ubo ni LO dun sa mga meds na yun. and she was even surprised ang daming beses na nag antibiotic ni baby. she said her son daw in 18yrs bilang lang yung times na nag antibiotic. so she prescribed new set of meds, and nag effect naman agad. one week lang nawala na ubo ni baby and yun yung longest time na wala siya ubo. kaya pag may ubo si baby diretso na kami agad sa pulmo pedia niya.

Best thing to do is to bring your baby to the pedia for a proper check up. There are lots of causes of cough (infections that may be viral or bacterial, allergy, reflux, etc.) and there is no "one" medicine that can be used for all types of cough. Also, what may work for one patient may not work for another.
Medications should never be given without a proper history and a proper check up.

hello mommies! need your advice on our 2 month old baby. napansin ko 2 days ng clogged ang nose nya sa madaling araw. during day and night time ok naman siya. naka-AC kami sa gabi hanggang magising ng 7am. im thinking if we just turn it off ng mga madaling araw baka giniginaw masyado. officemate said dust might also be causing it. kayo mommies, na-experience niyo na iyon sa babies nyo? tia!

naging genean din po baby ko,hanggang sa tumagal sya ng months,una po inadvise lang ako yung drop salinase sa cotton buds lilinis yung ilong ni baby then pinausukan ko po si baby every night ng nebulizer then naging ok na po sya,pero seek ka pa din po ng advice kay pedia syempre po mahirap na si baby na pinaguusapan eh 😉
