For me mas off naman yung kuntodo porma ka tas wala ka naman palang pera!
^right. good for them if they have something to show. and good for them too if they all acquire it in honest means and without debt. nothing wrong with buying stuff, eating out, and whatnot. i do all of those. that's what makes life enjoyable. but in sticking to the title of the thread, i talked about the examples i see in my own facebook wall. and with all the posts that bombard my wall everyday, for me there is a line between plain sharing and blatant showing off.
there's another acquaintance of mine who married rich, who posts everything on facebook with the Chanels and LVs and weekend five-star hotel getaways, all courtesy of wealthy hubby. i would have been impressed if they were acquired out of her own capability as a career woman or whatever. but yeah, a case of thanks hubby.
Its also how people perceive your post....also meron naman talaga, aminin natin, na nagpopost lang para magyabang....pero yun nga if you know the person, di kana magugulat sa mga post nya
Ok lang naman sa akin if a person posts about things bought or places that person went to. Everybody naman has a right to a good life and kung i-post man sa account nya or ikuwento sa lahat ng amiga nya, that's perfectly fine. If nice stuff/travels/whatever is what makes him/her genuinely happy, walang basagan ng trip. Some may perceive that as kayabangan, but there are some folks who really just want to share their experiences. But it's another thing if this person has a tendency to put a price or brand on everything she/he or anybody else owns, or if that person is sooo trying hard to keep up with the Joneses. The person lets materialism or illusions of power/fame/prosperity take over his/her life. Halata naman when that person wants to establish an illusion na nakakaangat sila than everybody else, kahit minsan hindi naman. They're only fooling themselves. One can only sustain that illusion for so long, even if you do have the moolah. Worse if what the person is bragging about is an outright lie. Those kinds of people nakakaawa na. Money cannot buy class, or kagandahang loob. Ipagdasal na lang na sana magising at magbago din sila.
i noticed lang ang mga true blue rich invidual hindi nagyayabang sa facebook. My Team Leader before from AYala Alabang konti lang pics sa bahay meron man di mo ma sight gaano kalaki ang house nila..kahit mga travels nya abroad di nya pinopost ....napaka low profile. mas admirable [textspeak!] ganun.
