^ fine dining place?  usually kasi sis, yong time na andito ka, puro ramadan buffet sa mga hotels e, so malamang yon ang isang option for you on the fine dining place mo.  pero, how much is the budget and how high end is the fine dining you are referring to, hehe?  pwede ka naman sa mga Tony Romas or Chilis dito.  Or yong Madam Kwan na resto.

^Sis, Hotel Petaling talaga which I booked through agoda.com. Ang contact no nila ay +60320789870. Medyo worried nga ako kasi wala akong makitang other means to communicate with them. Baka naman you can reach them sis. Yung isang hotel kasi in penang, naka pag confirm na kami at okay na yung booking namin. Bukas na ang alis namin at baka wala kaming matulugan.

sis NightShadow, I am also looking for a place to eat on our stay in KL and I have read about Sek Yuan Restoran in Jalan Pudu. They serve old style chinese foods there at dinarayo talaga ng mga tourists. You just have to make reservations when you get there kasi lagi silang puno. =)

^sis phurple, wala pa kaming budget kasi di pa kami familiar sa price ng food. Pero try namin i-check out yang madam kwan. Or para maiba naman, yung ramadan buffet, hehe thanks sis!

Sek Yuan Restoran is actually not a fine dining restaurant.  Usually mga chinese restaurants dito parang mga karinderia sa atin na walang aircon.  me aircon man, malamang sa 2nd floor pero ganon pa rin itsura.  pero lagi nga punuan mga ganon dito, kasi di mahilig magluto mga chekwa. 

^ mura lang mga ramadan buffet dito, usually nasa RM20-50/pax pero mga hotel yon.  at least you got to try the Malay cuisines and others like chinese, international

Share ko lang, last week, I stayed in D'Oriental Inn at Chinatown. Supposed to be, mag-stay ako sa friend ko kaya lang kinailangan nya umuwi ng Pinas. Wala na akong time mag-backread and I just need to have an immediate confirmation so nag-based lang ako sa feedback sa Agoda.

The place is just right in the middle of Chinatown. Walking distance sya from MRT station PERO hindi sya malapit. Mga 15-20minutes walk. Nagustuhan ko ang place kasi gitna talaga ng mga tiangge at hawker's area. Yung hotel, malaki yung beds although standard room lang ang kinuha namin and good for two pax lang. Sa tingin ko kasya ang 4pax dun. Luma na ang towel, bedsheet, at kumot. Nakakadiring gamitin ang kumot at towels. Buti na lang may dala akong towel. Yung carpet, halatang madumi na din pero infairness wala naman foul odor. Yung CR malaki, may free na sabon na maliit, at may heater.

For a price of (approx) 1,300pesos, good for 2pax with free breakfast (egg, coffee, tea, bread, beans, fruits, and others), ok na sya at babalik ulit ako dun next week. Ako naman kasi ang type ng traveller na late umuuwi ng hotel at maaga pa umalis. Walking distance pa sya sa PUDU Bus Station.

Madaming tao/tambay sa Chinatown pero safe naman, naglalakad pa kami around past 12midnight, pero we got home safely.

Be careful sa pag-bu-book around Chinatown area, meron don mga hotel na freaky ang entrance at lumang luma na ang building. I love Chinatown and Malaysia.

I asked the receptionist ng D'Oriental Inn Chinatown kung saan ang bus station to SG. Like what I have said, I was running out of time so hindi ko fully naplano ang 1-day trip namin to Malaysia. Sabi nya, meron nga daw nearest bus station doon, yung PUDU Bus station, near Plaza Rakyat MRT station.

Pumunta kami doon at super raming fixer na willing mag-guide sayo paakyat kung saan nakakabili ng ticket. I asked the fixer kung may bus to SG and how much, he said 45MYR. We went up at pagdating doon, unfamiliar sa akin yung bus company but still I asked, ang sabi na dun sa counter (after the fixer and teller talked), 50MYR per head daw. The bus company is YAKIN EXPRESS. Since nagduda na ako, sabi ko babalik na lang kami. May STARMART din na counter doon pero hindi daw sila nagbebenta to SG.

The following day, day of our SG trip, may tinanungan kami sa KL Sentral na bus company, NICE yata ang name, 88MYR daw to SG. Since almost half ang difference ng fare plus yung schedule pa ng alis hindi match sa gusto namin, bumalik kami sa PUDU and we went up and ask again sa YAKIN EXPRESS without the help of any fixer. We got it for 45MYR per head.

She told us to go to Platform 20 at 1pm, ang alis is 1:30pm. We went there then may guy na nag-guide sa amin to go out of the bus station and sumakay kami sa isang bus. We waited waited and waited, hanggang sa sinabi na we need to transfer to a different bus. Sira daw ang bus na yun. We walked (with our luggage) about 5-10 minutes, waited for about 10minutes, then may dumating na bus. Sumakay kami and buti na lang sinabi ng driver na to JOHOR BAHRU lang sya, hindi ko man alam yun, sinabi ko na  "Our ticket is to Singapore.". Nagtalo si driver at yung parang nag-ga-guide sa mga pasahero, inabutan ng pera si driver, and the driver told us na "there change bus".

Bumyahe na kami. Ok naman comfortable naman. Pagdating sa Johor Bahru, nakahinga kami ng maluwag ng ilipat kami sa lumang bus, na-re-recline naman yung seat at may panoora, going to SG. Feeling talaga namin, ibababa na lang kami kung saan nung driver at maloloko sa binayad namin. Haaaaay! Buti na lang hindi family ko kasama ko kung hindi nagfreak out na si Mama.

I will be back next week in Malaysia and promise myself to take StarMart bus to Singapore. Question, paano pumunta sa bus station ng StarMart in Malaysia?

^ mas mahal ang fare talaga from SG to KL kasi they will base the fare in SGD.  so like if KL to SG is just RM35, ang SG-KL SGD35 naman, so x2 na agad yon pag kinonvert mo SGD to RM.

Me mga kiosk ng bus na don sa Pudu station.  If not, then pwede ka rin magpabook online alam ko.

Actually ang bus station ng mga south bound (like SG) is in Bandar Tasik Selatan.  North bound karamihan sa Pudu.

So far ok experience ko with starmart for its price. On time din ang departure. You have to go to golden mile complex in Singapore meron silang booth doon..

Ive also tried Aeroline. Its very good but almost double priced compared to starmart..

3 train lines (KLIA, KTM komuter at LRT) dadaan dun sa Bandar Tasik Selatan. ok dito kasi madaming bus companies na pagpipilian at madaming schedules, iba iba pa fare, yung nabili namin 40RM hangang SG na.
mas mura din pag hanggang Johor lang.

-- from SG nag punta sila ng KL for side trip ng tour nila..they stayed daw sa Sahabat, the next morning, nagising si auntie na parang meron pumasok sa room nila, kasi parang may kumakaloskos, naisip niya baka yung room attendant na nag lilinis.. bigla siya napaisip na bakit meron papasok ng room nila na walang concent.. napatayo siya bigla at nakita niya sa CR, yung isang lalake na hinahalungkat yung bag niya, nung pag kakita sa kanya inagaw ni auntie at hinampas niya.. ang nakuha is some cash and her cellphone... buti na lang talaga hindi sila sinaktan...

they think na nakapasok yun sa window sa CR nila kasi open, mabilis daw tumakbo at sumakay sa get away vehicle, kinasama ng luob ata nila hindi man lang sila inintindi nung pinag tutuluyan nila *katakot*

buti na lang talaga naitanong ko ngayon sa kanila para makaiwas na ren...

^^^ sis badmonkey, from Bukit Bintang, you can go to Bandar Tasik Selatan:
1) take the monorail, baba ka ng Hang Tua which is the link to Star LRT na.
2) pagbaba mo sa papuntang Star LRT (Ampang/Sri Petaling Line), sakay ka nong papuntang Ampang/Sri Petaling).  Then check out the train kung san papunta since Ampang and Sri Petaling is using the same track.  Dapat ang sasakyan mo is 'Sri Petaling'.
3) baba ka mismo sa Bandar Tasik Selatan (6th station from Hang Tua, if I am not mistaken).  then lakad ka na lang kasi me connecting bridge na to the Tasik Selatan bus station.  you won't get lost dito.

the kiosk of StarMart is in front of Berjaya Time Square, baba ng Imbi station.

^ sis, everywhere talaga is not safe, kaya nga be sure to stay alert pa rin kahit san ka.  nagreply na ko sa pm mo.

We've stayed in Corus hotel and its at a very convenient location. Near petronas tower/suriya mall.. We even watched the last full show movie that ended at almost 2 am, just walked back to the hotel. Plus Aeroline bus terminal is right outside if you want to go to sg. Staff also were super nice, we requested  for a room with petronas view., They were kind enough to upgrade our room..

Sis thanks for your info, Have you seen Pacific Regency Suites? Is it really near Petronas Tower as stated in their hotel website that its 10 mins. walk or 5 mins if I am not mistaken?

Are there also Bus from KLCC vicinity to KL Sentral? hirap akong ivisualize ang lau ng KLCC hotels to KL Sentral kc I need to know that because We have plans to go to Genting Highlands the following day at nabasa ko dito na sa KL Sentral daw bibili ng ticket for the bus.

Sis, ask ko lang if tama intindi ko ha, bale baba ako ng IMBI STATION ng train, tama ba? From there, may kiosk na ng StarMart?
