Eczema/Skin Asthma: What Products Do You Use?

Just dab enough using cottonball or such para hindi sobra.  Though tried it only on myself.  As for kung mag-stain sa sheets ay kapag na-wash na wala naman kaming mapansin na stain pa if ever na-stain siya before.

Hi girls! Share ko lang routine ko na nakatulong sakin ng bongga My skin is super dry and madalas may flareups.

Soap: Dove unscented
After bath na super wet pa ang skin, I slather Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) on my skin. Then I let it sit for around 3-5 mins. Muni-muni muna sa CR. Then, I rinse it off ng kaunti. After that, I dry my skin using a microfiber na twalya, dab lang ng towel and never yung kusot talaga kasi nakaakdamage daw yung ng skin. Lotion ko is Aveeno na Daily Moisture ata yun. After that, lotion uli na Aveeno Calming Lotion. Then ayun na!

For me pinakaeffective is VCO kasi ultimate moisturizer talaga sya. Medyo the smell is a little bit unpleasant sa simula hihi pero masasanay din sya. Hope this helps!

I use VCO as my makeup remover, I would even leave it over night when I was still single.  I'm not comfortable nalang now that I'm married, I don't have ample time to do anything else.  I'm glad I'm not getting eczema flare ups ngayon.

Other parts of my body are ok na with regards to flare ups. Pero may part ng face ko lang talaga yung pabalik-balik. Parang tiny patch ng reddish dry skin sa right cheek pati sa eyelids ko. Medyo makapal yung skin na rough. Physiogel AI doesnt work. Ano kaya pwede dito mga sis? Wala ng effect steroid cream ko dito

Sis, try mo Skineal you can buy it from a chinese drugstore make sure lang na authentic this ointment is the only one na effective na pampagaling ng  eczema sa balat ng mga anak ko, kahit dati pabalik balik na kami sa derma pabalik balik pa rin ang eczemasa balat ng anak ko pero after niya gumamit ng skineal parang nagdahilan lang ang mga sugat pati scars nawala..

I have eczema. It started as an itchy tiny red bump which eventually formed into a blister. Paisa isa nung una, until dumami. Mahirap syang imanage nung una. Nka anim ata ako na derma, tried all the creams, soaps, etc na pinagamit nila. Also tried other products base sa mga nreresearch ko. Been using topical steroids, etc. Hanggang sa pumangit tlg skin ko. it would aways darken and leave me a scar. It was so itchy na nahirapan nko matulog sa gabi. I used to have this in highschool sa paa, pero nwala din. Bumalik lang nung naging full time HW ako. I tried avino yung pag baby but it worsened my rashes. I kept searching for the product till i came across Eucerin cream. I don't think it is available here, only in abroad ata. But it works for me. Pra syang petrolium jelly. It is the only product that somehow lessened my flare up. May mga tumutubo pa rin na ginagmitan ko ng steroid cream. My only issue now is, di ko na masuot [textspeak!] gusto kong isuot because I really have lots of dark dots all over my torso. I'm not sure if mawawala pa mga peklat ko.

When my eczema got really bad especially sa hands and feet, my dermatologist prescribed Dermovate. I was to apply a thin layer to my hands and feet, wrap them with a plastic wrap and leave them overnight. I only had to do it for 2 weeks I think. He then recommended me to use Dove Soap and Physiogel Cream until the symptoms subside. I was diligent the first few days but I got too lazy so I stopped using them altogether and the symptoms persisted. It went away on its own eventually though.

My mum however recommends that I use Aveeno Lotion as it should be enough. My mum's side has a history of eczema and she told me that she experienced the same situation I did so I'm trusting her on this one din.

I don't know bakit di ok sa kin ang dove kahit unscented. That's what my dad uses, and may eczema din siya. It works for him but not for me

Sis, my daughter's case might be the same with you.  As in lahat ng prescription walang epek sa kanya.  What worked for her was the healing oil from Healing Galing.  My mother has been telling me for years to try that pero di ako nakinig.  When I was very desperate na, I tried it and it really worked!

I have dermatitis also, sa hands.. The derma prescribed a steroid cream for my hands. Didn't buy it because I hate the side effects of it. I use emu oil sometimes, Hindi ako religious sa application though. But pag super lala ng hands ko, to the point na nagka crack and nagdudugo na, i use equate triple antibiotic and it helps in healing my skin faster..

Lately my rashes ako sa neck. Natatakot kami ng husband ko kasi baka maging kagaya ng sa hands ko na nagpi peel, crack, at dudugo. Pero I switched from using HHN body wash to Absynthe emu soap and mukang nagsusubside na ang rashes ko sa neck..

Grabe init ngayon, umaatake ang skin asthma ko. I use kojie san sa body ko kasi kapag wala akong atake para nga mag lighten nga yung skin ko. Pero hindi pwede ngayon, 1 week na akong naka pure Dove lang. Never ending battle talaga ito.

What do you girls use to remove the darkening left by skin asthma? Example nagskin asthma kayo behind the knee, naka.darken kase yun..

^Sis kapag fully healed na siya, ginagamitan ko siya ng mga whitening creams (kahit anong available lang). But please don't do this lalo na kapag hindi mo pa na skin test. At make sure na fully healed na siya, dahil mas lala lalo yung skin. I also take Ishigaki plus 1000mg Vitamin C everyday kaya nakakatulong.

Pero meron akong mga scars na 6 months plus na until now hindi pa din nawawala, tatlo ata ito kasing lalaki ng 5 cents. Plano ko na siyang lagyan ng peeling oil.

^I used to have flawless skin before kahit may skin asthma ako, pero nitong tumanda ako nahirapan ako sa flare ups ko. I love wearing shorts before, pero dumating sa point na hindi na ako nag shorts. Pero hinayaan ko nalang this year.  Ang init eh. Lalo na ako mahirapan kasi kapag may skin asthma ako tapos naka jeans mas mahirap. Kaya keber nalang ako sa maliit kong scars.

As far as I can remember, nagpost na ko dito dati. Lifelong problem talaga ang skin asthma. Mine is not eczema naman. Tingin ko mas rare ang atopic dermatitis or scaly skin kasi wala akong makitang gamot masyado. Nagpaderma na din dati pero sobrang mahal talaga and nag iimprove pero bumabalik once tumigil. I can't afford to use lotion, body wash, cream na prescribed lang ng derma. I've been using aveeno for years. Although aveeno tames the my extremely dry, scaly skin, hindi nawawala yung mga cracks :-( still searching for the right product to use. hindi ako nakapag-skirt or shorts since I was a kid. this has been my biggest insecurity kaya nagkaka-anxiety talaga ako pag may events na kailangan magskirt or shorts like summer outing, cheerdance nung school days etc. haaay.

tried using VCO pala, pero hindi nawawala yun dryness ng skin ko. parang may plastic yun skin ko na di naabot ng oil yun loob kaya oily lang sya but not moisturized. I dont have issues sa ibang parts ng body, legs lang talaga. I'm over 30 but frustration ko pa din makapagdress and shorts. ang lungkot lang ng nakapants lagi.

Our little ones will outgrow this so in the mean time, I buy cetaphil restoraderm or physiogel AI for both of them.  I had eczema as well or was it psoriasis (?) when i was breastfeeding.  Probably got it from all the stress of caring for the little one and work load.

it really boils down to the stress among other things so unwind din tayo girls

Sisses, may skin asthma flare ups kami noong Boracay trip namin last week. Pero guess what? Nakapag swimsuit ang lola niyo.  Siguro dumating na din ako sa point na I don't give a toot. Tapos natutuwa ako kapag may nakikita akong mga girls dun doing the same, kasi alam mo din na may flare ups sila. Yung isang foreigner nga dun hindi skin asthma mukha siyang psoriasis pero naka swim wear siya.

Pero I have to take Cetirizine one time kasi naman kumain ako ng hipon.
