Eczema/Skin Asthma: What Products Do You Use?

depende sa condition sis. ako kasi, just two weeks ago, binigyan ako ng free soap ng derma ko. may kung [textspeak!]-anong acid na pampaputi. ako namn todo gamit. whole body pa. after a week nangati ako at super kapal ng butlig ko sa buong katawan. ang nakakainis pa, pati area around the eyes ko, hindi pinatawad. kaya un, inagapan ko na. bumili na ako ng AI cream. in 2 days, wala na yung kati. 3rd and 4th day, nagfflat na yung mga butlig. 5th to 7th nawala na. since boung katawan ko ang pinapahiran ko, [textspeak!] 1 tube ko lasted for about a week and a half. uminom din ako ng antihistamine nung day 1. sorry ang haba ng reply.

^i bough the AI cream na. on my second day, 2x/day application. wala pa ako masyadong nakikitang improvement sa arms ko. the spots and rashes are still elevated and red.. but let's see after a few days.. i hope the cream will work its magic! buti nalang i found this thread. timing talaga at parang inatake yung skin ko sa legs and arms. i'm just thankful wala sa face ko. i haven't gone to the doctor yet.. i don't have a very good experience with dermas. minsan what they tell you during consultation is brief and general.. i even learn more by just researching on the internet. lol. but hopefully not,  if this gets worse and doesn't disappear in a week or so, baka sa doktor din ako babagsak.

^i am hoping that the cream works for you as it did for me. as much as possible wag ka sa maiinit at maalikabok na lugar. wear clothes that are made of cotton. anyway, if the condition doesn't get any better, it's still best to have it checked by a derma. although this may be out of the topic, pero VSRC, the research center of VMV Hypoallergenics (if you're familiar with it) does an extensive research sa mga skin conditions. they do patch test, para malaman mo kung anong nagttrigger ng skin allergy/asthma or whatever. ieexplain nila sayo nang mabuti. and they make sure your questions are addressed. Medyo pricey lang sya so save up for it. i feel you. kaya i want to help you.

Sis this is a true story...

My mom used to have excema as in di sya ma cure cure like kahit anong ipahid nya kahit yung mga expensive na nabibili sa market.. tapos me nag advise sa kanya na gamitin yung nabibiling tig limang piso sa bangketa yung kulay green lang yung me intsik label something... and it was effective nag fry out na yung excema and di na nag return ang katiat eventually scar na lang sya ngayun. just sharing

DERMOVATE!!! mga sis 1st application pa lang makikita mo agad difference. Instant relief talaga. I was suffering with eczema din nacontrol ko na siya dati and then bumalik ulet this summer. Imagine i was suffering for 3 months. Tried everything pero temporary lang then finally try ko to suggested by my friend. Hope mahiyang kayo

^i have this also from VSRC research clinic. i have a jar of 100grams which costs about P4,600. pero matagal maubos kasi you only have to apply very thinly. be careful not to overuse it. i read somewhere na nakaka-cause ito ng stretchmarks. btw, i was prescribed with this when i had TCA peel.

Ive been using a lot of kiehl's coloured hair kasi ako, pero pag ordinary shampoo umaatake ang eczema ko. Yun sunflower shampoo nila tsaka conditioner maganda tapos no sulfates.

Okay din ang dr. Bronners soap sa healthy options

thank you sis. i really do appreciate it. i really hope it will work within a few days but until now, parang wala pa rin talaga akong nakikitang improvement. this is my first time to have skin rashes to last this long. parang mag 2 weeks na yata. i never had serious skin problems before (except nalang my stretchmarks but that i can deal with) kaya hindi ko talaga ma gets kung bakit nagkaproblema ako nito ngayon.

I use elica cream. Its effective however it left some brown spots on my  skin. I  thought it would not clear up. I tried using cyleina tomato soap straight for 2 wks and i noticed that all my allergy marks were gone! Now i switched to cyleina shea butter soap and my atopy hasn't attacked me yet even though i'm under a lot of stress. I love shea butter's moisturizing effect.

I was reading an article about evening primrose earlier and one of its benefits is that it can cure eczema daw.

my 2 sisters have eczema na din they were given oatmeal soap and cream from the derma, but at some point hindi na siya ganon ka-effective, maybe matigas din kasi ulo ng sister ko, she tend to scratch it.

now i think im starting to have this also, ayoko na din magpacheckup pa sa derma so magself medication na lang muna ako, is physiogel AI cream can be bought over the counter?

I'm curious ..sisses, have you tried any other alternative methods to prevent the skin condition to recur.. like eating raw foods, cleaning the blood? cos I've been to a neuropath and said its all in the blood kaya recurring lang. would like to know your thoughts on this? thanks

I'm now looking for a facial moisturizer na okay for those with skin asthma/seborrheic/atopic dermatitis. I want to try sana something that can be bought in stores, not sa derma lang - may naka-try na ba ng Aveeno facial moisturizers which are hypoallergenic? Feeling ko ang dry and rough na ng face ko

ok ba yung giga? yung may VCO? sabi nung sales lady ok daw eh.. gamit ko sya pero wala naman kasi ko skin asthma.. haha! pero parang naging smooth kasi yung skin ko..

Silverlilac, ang gamit ko Kiehl's Ultra Facial moisturiser. Wala siya kahit scent. Yun cetaphil alam ko may moisturiser din, pero nalalangisan ako eh.

^thanks for the tip, sis - I read somewhere na okay nga daw ang Kiehl's products. I think I need something really mild pero very moisturizing at the same time (meron bang ganun? hehe). Kulang na lang yung Cetaphil Restoraderm that i use for my body, e gamitin ko na din sa face ko

^Naku, wag! Unless super dry skin ang face mo, kasi ginawa ko yan dati, grabe ang langis. May mga gumagamit din ng Physiogel, though I don't have personal experience using it.

for my sister kasi the doctor told us na its a form of dermatographism, ayoko na lang talaga din magpacheck-up na sa derma so im reading infos here.
anyway ang concern ko now sa face ko is the brownish thing na naiwan, kasi iyong butlig na maliit is nagdry na, i use cetaphil to wash my face and aloevera extract to the affected area.
