^my local OB can only speculate that my pregnancy ended due to chromosomal defect in the embryo.

My APAS/Lupus test turned out normal & the tests done on the embryo after my DC&C didn't show any infection.

My baby had a normal heartbeat at 6wks but my 8th wk scan showed no growth and the heartbeat was very faint. By 10wks the Dr. confirmed that I had a missed miscarriage.

This November we'll be having our 2nd transfer using a 2-day embryo and we're praying hard that God will give us a child this time.

I recently had our second try (after the 1st retrieval, my egg can't be used). But it ended sa day 2 visit pa lang.

Ultrasound showed a "space" - Dra immediately said it's fluid in the fallopian tube which means hydro / blocked. She was asking me to go to a different OB and have surgery already.

I went back to my OB. And just based on her ultrasound she can't believe that doctor from Kato said that. she's 101% sure na mali yung findings.

We scheduled HSG / fallopian tube xray for peace of mind. No block nga....

I think pag IVF its cheaper to get it abroad. My cousin had hers in Taiwan and 230k lang ginastos nila including airfare, hotel, food and meda plus the procedure. Twins na buo. If 40 below ang girl thet put 2 daw. Pag 40 yr old and up 4 eggs daw. Daming pinoy nag pagawa daw dun batch by batch sila

to those who chose to do their ivfs in Katoh, why did you prefer katoh over taichung?  My wife and I are still choosing where to have this done since we plan to do it next year pa naman.

Hi Scubadoobidoo. May I know if sang hospital ng undergo ng ivf yung cousin mo sa taiwan and 230k lang nagastos nila. Patient din me before ng kato,with hydrosalphinx on both tubes.They aspirate only my right tube kasi yung left tube tatamaan yung uterus then wala naman sila nakita sa ultasound na fluid sa left before kami ng transfer but then it tuns negative. Nagrest muna me for almost a year also we need to prepare the money first again. Hope you can advice me the name of the hospital in taiwan. Thanks.

I am also interested to know which hospital scubadoobidoo is referring to.  Is Mckay Hospital less aggressive than Dr. Lee's hospital?  I want to do it in taiwan but we wanted to have only one blastocyst implanted.

Hi Waitinglist If you're planning to go to Kato - go there at Day 2 of Menses.

If you're planning on immuno testing I had mine done sa MEL before but there are other labs naman who conducts it. Bloodworks, AII, etc. sa St. Lukes they only do the Immuno Panel 1. I forgot I think Hi-Precision is also doing immuno testing not sure lang about the costs.

Hi Gemini. Yes this is my first ivf. Wala actually ako any big preparation pero i lost weight prior the transfer. And then after i took days off from work. Sakto nga papal visit so wala talagang work. Pero hindi naman ako total bed rest o still move around para din daw better circulation. So i do light work sa kitchen then walk the dog. Ganun lang. Pero hindi ako naligo for 3 days and socks all the time. Hehe. I also tried the pineapple core i figured wala namang mawawala.

Basically that's all I did.

Hi sis so far nakaka 320,000 na kami. Kasama na lahat lahat. We still have several more consultations coming up. Mga 5 pa siguro average of 5,000 per visit. Then we will have to pay pa the 168,000 for the bfp.

minimal stimulation or no stimulation ka sis?

Minimal stimulation ako. Medyo malaki na nga rin. So far here's the breakdown of all the IVF expenses:

IUI Cycle - 40,486.00
We started kasi with IUI, we tried first if it will work for us since our problem is hubby's motility. The costs there include the seminalysis, ultrasound (b-scope), blood tests to monitor follicles, consultation fee, HSSG and medicines

IVF (OPU, egg retrieval cycle): 146,804.00
Cycle day 2 - 23,716 . This includes ultrasound (560.00), blood tests, clomid, letrozole, Gonal F
Cycle day 8 - 5,488. Just a blood test and ultrasound to check if my follicles have grown. I ovulated early since I was given medicines.
Cycle day 10 - 117,600.00 This includes seminalysis, 50,400 for the egg retrieval operation, 56,000 for the egg culture.

Egg Transfer Cycle
CD 2 - 6,820. The usual ultrasound, blood tests and consultation fee
CD 12 - 34,720. Consultation fee, ultrasound, also paid for the blastocyst culture 16,800 and the extended culture another 16,800. We had 3 eggs retrieved but one did not mature. Froze 1 at 5days and 1 at 2days
CD16 & 20 - My follicles were not cooperating and wasn't growing enough (I chose to do natural cycle this time hoping that my follicles will grow and I will ovulate on my own) thus I needed to come back 2 times for blood test and ultrasound. Each visit costs 5,488
CD 23 - 7,168. Includes blood test, consultation fee, ultrasound and suprecur nasal spray to trigger  ovulation. I ovulated 2 weeks late.
CD 26 - 3,150. Includes consultation fee, blood tests and duphaston (since my progesterone was not enough yet for transfer)
CD 31 - 44,644. Includes consultation fee, blood tests, the egg transfer (37,119) and medicines to support the embryo which included duphaston, utrogestan and progynova

At 7 days past 5 day embryo transfer, I went back for the Beta hcg test. This was when we found out I was pregnant. We spend 6,023 for the blood test, consultation fee and duphaston

After the initial b-hcg we had to come back every 5 days to check on the beta levels (it should be doubling) . 2nd beta check we spend 9,039 for the blood test, consultation fee, duphaston, utrogestan and I was also given prolupron because I wasn't producing enough progesterone.
3rd beta check we spent 8,423 for blood tests, ultrasound (where we finally saw the gestational sac already and the yolk sac) and same medicines. We will be coming back to Kato in 5 days, hopefully we can see the heartbeat already. Then after that there are around 3 more visits (i think) every 10 days to ensure that baby is growing fine before we graduate to a regular OB.

So that's basically the details of costs we had so far. Hoping you get your BFPs with Kato too!
And pray that I have a sticky bean and we see the heartbeat on time.
