Baby2014, CONGRATS!!!  So happy for you! Tuloy-tuloy na yan. 
Yes, still have APAS so as soon as i found out BFP na I consulted my regular OB and Immunologist and they advised me to start injecting Innohep everyday (0.35mL per injection) and continue taking aspirin din. I use the insulin syringe Ga 30 para hindi masyado masakit and numb the area with ice muna before injecting.

Hi mga sisters. I've Been reading the TTC journey and This IvF at Kato. I must say i learned a lot from sisters here who selflessly shared their journey and learnings. Maraming salamat po. We are currently on preparation stage for IVF at Kato, scheduled for harvest maybe Friday nxt week. I read the advise of sis sbg that one should undergo immunology consult prior to ivf, we already consulted and started the medications for stimulation before I read your advise sis, but still followed your advise anyway, i've consulted an Immunologist and i was told to have APAS panel done. Will go to UST by wednesday, to have it checked, same day consultation at Kato. Probinsyana kc, di makapunta manila kagad.  Tanong ko lang sis sbg should we proceed w/ OPU, FET if abnormal results ko sa panel? Should we cancell the procedure altogether and panormalize muna if ever may abnormality? Also i've read that acupuncture can do wonders during IVF journey, can you reccommend a good acupuncturist, their location too? Maraming salamat po in advance. God bless on your pregnancy

Baby2014, vial yung gamit ko kasi ang laki ng difference in price from the pre-filled syringes. I buy innohep from Mercury Drug in E. Rodriguez Ave. coz it's the one nearest where i live. Ph1500 per vial and it's good for 6 injections na. Then bili ka na lang ng Gauge 31 na insulin syringes, sa mercury din.

soontobemom2014, when are you scheduled to have your APAS test? I recommend that you follow the advise of your immunologist because he/she can better gauge your condition. IVF kasi is not 100% guarantee and i think it's better if your body is prepared to undergo the process and ready to receive your future baby or babies. so to friends who ask me, i always recommend that they address their immune issues first, get tested and undergo treatments first before IVF. It's still not 100% guarantee but the chance of getting BFP significantly increases.
In my case, we are lucky because we learned about immune issues before we even thought about going through IVF. Hindi nga kasi standard procedure ang immune testing (in my opinion, it should be). Having had a MC last year and discovering afterwards that i have APAS, LAT and other issues aside from PCOS, i can't help but think that if i'd taken all the tests in the beginning that i might not have miscarried at all. But i'm very thankful to God that i was given another chance. And i pray that you and our other sisters get a BFP very soon too.
When you consult your immunologist, tell her/him about your plan to do IVF so she can recommend what to do next.

I don't know any acupuncture centers in Makati. The one I go to is in Quezon City, kay Sister Regina Liu.

Thank you sis sbg for the info. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Twins ka pala. We had our follow up at Kato today. and Dra. Perillo was surprise na may heart beat na si baby kasi 5W4D palang ako. Yehey!!!! yun ang inaantay ko. Thank God talaga at syempre sa mga doctors na nag aalaga sa atin at syempre kay hubby na sobrang supportive and at the same time nurse ko na rin kasi sya ang nag-iinject sakin ng innohep. hindi bale 8 months nalang, yay...

Soon to be Mom, i know it's hard but try not to be too hard on yourself. You said you've been trying for 3 years na, others have been trying longer than that pa. I know it doesn't make you feel any better but just saying there's always hope.
May i ask about your history? Who's your OB and immunologist? Iba iba kasi ang conditions natin so it would help to know yours para makapag-recommend or give you tips.

Hello soon to be mom. Gaya ng sabi ni sis sbg kailangan malaman history mo. Pero anyways I share ko ginawa ko before and after transfer. Kami rin more than 3 years na kami at 2 years na yung work up with doctors. Im from the privince kasi kaya the night before the transfer nag stay na kami sa hotel sa makati. Then just try to relax, pumunta ako sa parlor the day before the transfer kasi alam kong pag nagpositive na ayaw kong magpa hair treatment. Then the days of transfer, relax lang at think positive palagi. Syempre palaging may kasamang dasal. Wala naman akong take na other supplements.  Folic acid, spirulina at yung aspirin (bec. I have APAS). Then after ng procedure umuwu na kami. Nagka pajama at medyasdin ako for 7 days. Hindi naman ako total na bed rest. Nagdilig ako ng halaman twing hapon para naman makalanghap ng fresh air. Hindi rin ako nag acupuncture.  Gusto ko rin sana pro wala kasi dito samin. By the ways, im already 36 kaya dont worry.

My wife is on leave since march last year, our company honored her leave as sick leave due to IVF procedure and her pregnancy is too delicate until dec 3 2013 when she gave birth, she is even receiving SSS benefit and now enjoying here maternity leave up to feb 23 and then she will file a resignation to be a full time mom, at least she got paid while being pregnant.

Hello! Just wanna share my experience/journey with Kato but before i start here's my TTC story:
Married for almost 3 years already. Hubby and i are classified as unexplained infertility since most of the test done to us turned out to be ok. We are both turning 33 this year.

We had 1 failed iui last year. Apart from that, no meds taken prior to iui and as to Hubby he has not taken any meds even during our iui. So since we had our failed iui last year, we decided to jump into ivf immediately and we dont want to waste money and time trying iui again.

Went to Kato cd3 of my january cycle. All tests were ok and was advised by dr. Mendiola that we can do the natural ivf since i wont be needing meds to ovulate. Went back to kato cd12 but no dominant follicle and was asked to go back cd15. So on my next visit they already saw 1 leading follicle on the left and i was scheduled for the egg retrieval on cd17.
On the day of my Egg Retrieval, was shocked that they were able to get two matured eggs! I cried when the Nurse told me the good news. I was just expecting 1 egg and luckily they got two!!! During the transfer, everything went well and fast. Experienced a little bit pain but very tolerable. I can say, i am impressed with Kato’s procedures and amazed with the friendly staff as well. After the egg retrieval, i was prescribed to drink meds and so i did.
Two days after the retrieval is the embryo transfer. Went to Kato at 8am, the Embryologist told us the status of my two embryos. My 1st egg after the ICSI, was formed into 4 cells as expected and it has been graded 1 as the highest.  After the transfer, according to Dr. Mendiola, we have a very good chance because of the good quality of the embryo that was transferred to me. Husband and i decided to keep my other embryo but i was advised to freeze it at day 5 so just incase this wont work (praying it will work), next cycle they will transfer the blastocyst which will be on day 5 already. As per Kato, theres a higher chance for day 5 but that will depend if my embryo will survive until blastocyst stage.
I just called Kato this morning, and we have 90% chance that the blastocyst will survive. Tomorrow is the final day! I was really happy! But i will be happier if the embryo that was transferred to me will implant properly. We will be going back to Kato next week for the test if i am pregnant. Please do include me in your prayers.

I am very positive with this ivf. I’ll keep you posted sis after my Kato’s visit. Btw, if God permits that i will get pregnant this cycle. We will use my blastocyst next year for Baby no. 2! Wish me luck sis!

hi Mommytobe2014 sis like ko lang sana itanong if you don't mind kasi ikaw yung nakita ko na pinaka-latest na nagpa-check up sa KATO for IVF, mag kano ang mga laboratory test nila like yun sa initial laboratory test at yung consulatation fee na rin paki break down naman if okey lang sana. Ako kasi is planning to go and have my IVF din by August so I am gathering some information. Also, noong bang egg retrieval mo hinde  sila gumamit ng anesthesia wala bang pain...? Anyway, I am wishing you good luck  pati na rin sa lahat ng mga TTC ladies sa thread na ito.

HopingMomtobe - here are my expenses so far since i started with kato including expenses i will pay incase positive or negative. This is for natural ivf ng kato:

1st visit: 1,680 initial consultation
2nd visit: 8,400 inclusive of blood exams (day 3 ko kaya they need to check something ata s blood), b-scope (transvi) and consultation
3rd visit: 1,120 inclusive of b-scope and consultation (no blood extraction since no leading follicle seen and advised to go back)
4th visit: 8,932 inclusive of b-scope, blood extraction (may leading follicle na kasi kaya they need to check my fsh, estradiol, etc to check if ok to do the egg retrieval),  consultation plus the spray (for maturation of the egg)
5th visit- egg retrieval- did not pay for anything except for the medicines they asked me to take, sorry forgot how much but less than 1k lang
6th visit- embryo transfer - supposedly we are not going to pay anything but since they were able to get 2 eggs during the retrieval we decided to freeze the other egg. So we paid 16,800 for the egg culture then 16,800 for the blastocyst achieved. If luckily the blastocyst made it to day 5- we will pay another 16,800 for the freezing. I was also asked to drink meds mga 6k plus sya.
6th visit that will be on tuesday, we will pay na the 16,800 since my other embryo made it to blastocyst stage yehey! Will have our first bhcg test (12 day post after the transfer) that will cost 4,928. If the result will be in our favor meaning positive and i am really pregnant, we will be paying 168,000 but if not (hopefully positive result) will be paying 16,800. Then we will transfer my other blastocyst on the next cycle. That i am not sure how much will cost us.

Please kindly help me naman...if somebody can answer kung mga magkano ang inabot ng minimal IVF ng KATO with all the medicines and other laboratory. I am now comparing it kasi doon sa isa pang IVF clinic wherein my OB Dra. Koa-Malaya were affiliated...though nagustuhan ko yun protocol ng Kato na minimal lang tapos yun transfer nila of blastocyst  is happening on the next cycle so hinde siya stressing kasi parang makakapahinga pa yun body ng babae at mas prepared siya...well I hope sooner or later makapag decide ako
