Nanay and Tatay...God knows how much I LOVE YOU...I owe my life to you...but why are you treating me this way? You told me you love me but why are you getting in the way of my happiness. Nay, you always make decisions for me...it is what I feel...if I don't do what you wish, you would always threaten to disown me....why so? Back at the time I was starting to work for a teacher, I was almost earning nothing...50 php per day...you were so mad when I told about this to you...You confronted me furiously, if I did not leave this work, I better stay with this teacher I'm working for and forget about you. You ask me to move here in Manila and work as a teacher...it was against my will...but I did my part...after two months as replacement to the absentee, I decided to work again but not as a teacher you want me to be...again you were so furious...threatened to disown me again...there is nothing that I say you listened to...at least hear about it...at this time, I got married...you felt so mad because I don not give you a penny...but We did, previously...my husband turned sour because he felt obliged to give you some amount when you know for a fact we BOTH don't have work...I felt sad that our relationship was affected because of monitary issues...we begged you...just please wait for at this point we don't have any source of income...yes, my husband may have been harsh and rude, but did you ever attempt to look at his side where he's coming from? He reached his breaking point...now you want me to leave him.....I received alot of sour messages from you...the last one was just the previous but it was painful...you make me choose between me and my husband....Nay have you ever thought I have children? He does not do anything to me. He never laid his hand on me. I freak out when he raises his voice on me and suddenly he would hug and kiss me...tell you what, his life is worse than hell with just for this silly issue you have with him...how could you? I LOVE YOU SO  MUCH but your interpretation of love coming from is when there is something I give. Nay, we have a family and children to prepare their future for...why it's quite difficult for you to understand that?

Hay salamat, after two weeks of agony, the result was benign.  No more health scare, dear mother! Please, pacheck up lagi sa doctor.  Not ready to lose you, at all.

Hope you enjoyed your Holy Land trip.

Dear Daddy,

I want to tell you that you are my hero. You are my knight in shining armor who is readily available to rescue me when i need you most.

Thank you dad!

I may not be good in putting into words what I feel, but I love you!

You are the best dad in the whole world.

how could you do this to me?

did you call me up this morning to see if i was stil alive? yes, and i still am until now...

and from now on, i would live my life away from the two of you.. that's physically and emotionally... being at the lowest point in my life, i realized i couldn't depend on any of you. i don't know why you guys act/think that way. from this day on, i'll focus my life on my babies. i will love them unconditionally. i'll make them feel the love which i failed to get from my own parents...

Ma at Pa,

Dear Mommy and Daddy,

nice to find this thread....

to my dad. i've always looked up on you with that great respect. hard to believe, but even at my age right now (in my 30's), I still value your opinions on things, especially your career advice. if ever i will still get married, i would like a man who has a strong faith in God, who can make us laugh, who's responsible and principled -- a man just like you (well perhaps, minus the occasional sumpong, the occasional "ako-ang-tatay-ako-ang-masusunod" attitude, and your being ultra-conservative on certain things such as musical preferences, tattoos, piercings, and stuff like those - things which we usually argue about....  ;D). we may be on the opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to certain things, but know that in my heart, i will always be your "daddy's little angel (errr.. deviil?)"...

to my mom. i know we don't always see eye to eye, especially during my younger years. but as i grow old and become a mom myself, i realize how it is to be in your shoes. when i was younger, i used to have a tampo with you because i noticed that you love my brother more than me, but as I grew up and understood things,  i learned the reason behind it, and learned to live with it..  ;)  i have always admired your being open-minded and your don't-care-what-they-say attitude when it comes to personal choices and owning one's happiness.  i told myself that when i grow old, i want to age gracefully (in body, mind, and spirit) just like you...  :)

to my parents, i may not always be the expressive type but, thanks much for everything! as in everything - for the gift of life, for the very good education, for the guidance, for the sandamakmak na advice, and for simply being there during the darkest and lowest points in my life. i know i've had my rebellious days which brought so much pain and heart aches to you. nevertheless, instead of disowning me (and my son), you've accepted us wholeheartedly and with open arms. we all know nobody's perfect, but you tried your d@mn best in raising us the best way you could. i hope that i'll be able to raise my son, with the same love, affection, patience, and understanding that you showed me and my brother. i love you both. and i thank God for giving me parents just like you...  :)

To my mom. I am sooo pissed.

Sobrang stress ako sayo nun and this time I won't let it happen. I am totally pissed off and you don't want to see what would happen next. Nakakainis lang why you have to side with someone na hindi mo naman anak. Kampihan mo pa para ikaw din mahirapan sa huli and don't call me when you need someone to rant on regarding my tangang kapatid hopeless situation. Nakakadala na kayo.

Ma,

Dear Mama,

Sobrang swerte ko at ikaw ang nanay ko.. simula bata kami, kahit mahirap tayo habang lumalaki kami, kitang-kita ko effort mo para mapagtapos kami ng pag-aaral.. promise ko sa sarili ko na pag tumanda ako, katulad mo.. i love you so much.. kahit kailan, kahit maganda na disposisyon ko sa buhay, never mo akong inobliga na bigyan ka ng sustento o pera.. kahit nahihirapan ka financially, hindi ka talaga magsasabi sa kin kasi sobrang unawa mo na marami ako binabayaran na bills.. mama, kahit mahirapan ako, gagawan ko ng paraan matulungan lang kita.. kasi ikaw never ka nagreklamo sa mga hirap natin noon.. mahal na mahal kita.. napakabait mong nanay.. ang swerte-swerte ko sa yo.. lalo ko narerealize na swerte ako sa pagkakaroon ng nanay na katulad mo pag sinasalbahe kami ng byenan kong babae.. ibang-iba ka talaga sa kanya.. kaya lalo kitang minamahall i love you.. hindi ko matutumbasan ng kahit na anong pinakamagandang materyal na bagay ang lahat ng pag-aaruga, pagsasakripisyo, pagpapaaral mo sa ming limang magkakapatid.. at pag-aaruga sa mga apo mo sa min magkakapatid.. i love you, i love you, i love you.. :)

It really shows that she favors my sister well compared to me. Until now di pa rin matanggal yung sama ng loob ko sa mga pinasasabi nya sakin last year. I don't think it would be easy for me to reach out. I don't feel she's my mom. I thought having a grandkid would change her views on me. Pero nothing's change.

dear dad, bilib ako sa kabutihan ng loob mo when it comes to helping your good-for-nothing, magaling-lang-kapag-may-kailangan relatives. i have no qualms about you helping them. i just hope na hindi mo titipirin at pagkukuriputan kami na sarili mong pamilya, just to give in to the whims of your God-forsaken relatives. nakakaawa ka rin lang kasi. kapag ikaw ang nagigipit, wala ka naman maaasahan sa mga kamag-anak mong yan.  >:(
