My Party Show was a "NO SHOW"

Grabe. Very unprofessional. Kung sakin nangyari to baka kung ano pa ang magawa ko sa kanila. Aside from the money I you paid na nasayang lang, na spoil narin yung celebration na minsan lang sa buhay ng anak mo mangyayari.

That was my sentiment. 1st birthdays happen only once that was why I was really disappointed. I did get my money back naman because I owed the party host 50% of his TF, but since I booked the Golden Show through him, he didn't get his balance anymore. He said he will
just the Golden Show for the refund.

As I said I dont hold any grudges, but of course there will always be the disappointment everytime I think about it...

My party host was Yoyomaster. I've had him for 3 of my parties. Twice for my own kids and once for a niece.

have you asked eileen or glenn kung naibigay nila and deposit mo kay golden show?  ang alam ko kasi mahigpit si abraham sa deposit.  no reservation fee, no show ang policy nya.

hi ms. ____im sorry to what you have read on the facebook.this is the first time i commented on this kind of situation.he booked me your party last feb and telling me that its confirmed already and that he's gonna send downpayment. i trusted him and believed on what he said, kya po i waited.until meron nagpabook on the same date, may 5, i consulted him with regards to the reservation that he made last feb.it was month of april na and yet no final confirmation thru 50% downpayment from them, thats the protocol of all the performers.i don't have any choice but to accept other bookings kasi he's not confirming thru downpayment.we're not after the money, kaya lang po, most of us received bookings and reservations na sinasabing confirmed pero when the date comes, biglang makakancel.we're losing a lot if we dont ask downpaymnt upon confirmation.thats what happen between me & glenn.they made confirmation thru deposit 3rd wk of april already.i accepted tagaytay booking already. nagtxt cla s akin nakapgdeposit na sya. i dont have any choice but to reconcile my schedules.my show time in tagaytay is 2pm. we were there at tagaytay a night before the event.since it was an open air venue.situation becomes worse when it rains around 1pm.we waited until it stopped gradually.we're done performing at 3:45pm.then i called him, he told me its ok.at 4pm i called them again, was on our way to daang hari.they said party just started at 4pm.by 5pm i called him again.i dont know that tagaytay has that kind of traffic bumper to bumper, mostly trucks and buses.i did my best coz im the one whos driving.i do counterflow and even go to other side of the road just to avoid the traffic.we're reporting everything to them thru text msgs and calls.we're even on hazard mode.when we exit alabang slex that was around 5:56pm.he texted me that "NAKU PARANG DI NA AABOT, NAKAUSAP KO CLIENT, REFUND DAW NG DP NYA"...and i say sorry.dapat po dederetso pa ako s venue ng party nyo.kya lang yan ang sinabi nya s akin.nagkausap naman po kami sa text and call ng maayos.ok naman po.and then sunday hes post appeared. [textspeak!] naman po kami mag usap thru phone or personally but not on the not and worse is nagpost pa sya ng ganun.obviously, its me...im very sorry that i wasn't be able to perform at ur party, but God knows how i did all my best just to be there.If there's something i can do para po makabawi ako sa inyo, you can send me message po and let me know.just to prove to you na im not in control of the situation and that im very sorry. im always looking after my name as a performer, kaya lang what he did became unhealthy on my part kya po ako sumagot.salamat po sa message.

Sis Kareni, yes they did, though as he said in his PM to me, they did it 3rd week of April already. And also, when his booking in Tagaytay made the reservation, shouldn't he have asked Glenn if the booking he made will still push thru before accepting the Tagaytay event? But instead he opted to just double book.

He did try to come and I'll give him that. As I said a few posts back, I DON'T HOLD GRUDGES AND I WILL STILL HIRE HIM FOR MY NEXT PARTY, especially since he made mention in his PM that he wants to make "bawi" and because I still want to see his show myself because as I said also a few posts back his reputation precedes him.

Kung pagbabasehan ko lang ang sinabi niya sa PM, understandable naman, since ang na late pala ng confirmation/downpayment eh si Glenn kaya siya nagpa book sa tagaytay, but, sana kinancel na lang niya yung sa inyo, dahil kung tutuusin ang unang nag deposit/confirmed eh yung sa tagaytay.

Double booking is a no no, cancel na lang sana kesa nag oo pero hindi sumipot.

that is the problem with all these suppliers - overbooked na hoping and/or accepting pa din ng booking sa iba on the same date.

again, i would like to appeal to all mommies let us unite and demand in all contracts we sign with all party suppliers from host, entertainers, photo/video, etc that they shall only accept one booking on the day we are contracting them.  if possible nga wala din silang event the day before para hindi na kelangan maging lawbreaker by doing counterflow on the road.

@simple elegance- Grabe sis you are so kind and gracious! Kasi if that were us nun hubby Ko for sure kinasuhan pa naman sila and demanded a full refund and even damages from the host din! Scary talaga yang overbooking! They really should be responsible enough and be honest in their dealings with their clients. I got scared naman din tuloy kasi d pa rin ako nag-DP SA PP Ko for my host-magician and for the Mickey mascots.

@Kareni -- u have a very valid point sis! And I for one, truly support your advocacy! Dapat talaga we should protect ourselves by making sure our contract will protect us from all eventualities. Mahirap na kasi talaga!
