sis khriseeee, can you share a video of baby h on our fb group? i want to try BLW as well for my baby j. excited, but same as you, i have a great fear of choking.

sis cldy_1981, BLW is baby led weaning. :)

Ok sis i've been trying to upload but it takes awhile! I'll try again :) i'll post pics too in the meantime

Sis cldy it's baby led weaning, meaning no mashed or pureed food, just give steamed food to baby and he/she feeds on their own :)

I don't even slice it, i just break off a third of the whole banana and give it to her. I leave it up to her to explore and taste. She still plays with the food though and that's my cue that she's done eating. Problem is when she bites it the banana gets slippery and she can't grasp it na, so she ends up leaning over the banana and taking bites :) super funny how she found a way to still eat it

Sis iristacey i'll try posting the video later! Hopefully your son will love it too, it's fun to watch your baby's expression when they experience something new, from the feel of it in their hands, then licking, biting, etc :) just a warning it's extremely messy! Though i think my photos are evidence enough

Hi sisses. My baby started eating na din last weekend. She's on rice cereal pa lang. I use breast milk instead of water.

for avocado, i cut it in strips. yung banana, isang buo para mas madali mahawakan. pag naputol kasu dumudulas na hehe! minsan may nakakgat na malaking chunks but yun ang pang practice nya to chew. iluluwa naman nya whatever na hindi nya kaya.

jp - di mo kailangan turuan kasi natural hand to mouth reflex yun.

we've started solids na. we tried BLW for avocado for 2 days but my son's not holding it and ended up eating the tray of his high chair and me giving the chunks to him. he wants the spoon! but he is chewing (good thing). he likes the brown rice mixed with bm. and bm as his water. okay lang naman not to introduce water yet di ba? bm naman is ~90% water. siguro yung banana sa next weekend naman.

yung pedia namin, sinabihan ako na wag muna mag-fruits. hmmp. nakakatrigger daw ng allergic reaction. parang wala naman akong mabasang ganun na dapat 7months pa magfruits. she insists in having rice and carbs as first food. hindi ko na nga sinunod yung about giving cereals as early as 4months eh. si hubby tuloy kinulet ako na sumunod naman. ayoko nga eh. :) kulet ko daw tigas ulo. hmmp.

looks like we're going straight to cup. ayaw ng training cup, mas gusto magbaso. he can drink it straight na. konti lang tapon. ang galing! gulping talaga basta wag lang marami yung laman ng baso, like half oz lang. tapos ilang ulit yun. nakakatuwa! siguro kasi lagi niya kame tinititigan kapag umiinom ng tubig. :)

hi!

i'm excited to buy a Magic Baby Bullet kaya search muna ako dito...turns out hindi pala advisable ang pureed food lagi sa babies.

anyway, can i join that group in facebook? BLW group ba yan? tried to search pero wala akong nakitang Baby led weaning PH group.

tia!

pag na freeze okay naman nasstore pa rin ang nutrients. just make sure in small amounts ang storage kasi madali masisira if you thaw, heat, freeze in huge amounts.

kung ako din, i won't rely on the yaya to cook for the baby's food. ikaw na lang. baka lagyan pa ng kung ano anong namnam yang food ni baby....

We tried Gerber squash kanina and it's ewwwww. HinDi Masarap! D ate 3 spoonfuls at first then refused to open her mouth. Will prepare freshly prepared squash na lang. But I added cerelac sayang naman Kasi yung Gerber she ate but parang napilitan Lang  hehe. So I made a bowl of cerelac which she gladly ate at gets mad pa if I mabagal ako magsubo.

Question how do I know if my babies full ba? I'm afraid to over feed her kasi saka breastfeed Kasi siya sabi supplement Lang naman daw cerelac main source of nourishment pa din breast milk.
