It was a bit harsh, I know pero nairita kase ko eh. I know naman na may mga pants sya kase nakita ko nung naglaba sya. Eh napansin nya yata mahilig ako mag-shorts or skirt when we go out. Well, ako yon and hinde sya.

Di rin naman kami nagpapauniform initially, but when some of yayas we had before, would wear sheer and tight tops na bitin with matching low rise jeans, tapos distracted sa kahihila ng mga damit nila (sobrang nacoconcious, that's when I decided to have them in uniform whenever they go out with us.  But depende din sa yaya, yung mga may maayos na damit, I don't require them but sila na rin ang may gusto kasi mas neat daw sila tignan.

From experience, yung mga taga rito sa Manila or sanay na dito, sila yung mataas magcommand ng sweldo but those direct from the province kaya pa ng P3k or very rarely P2,500.

So whenever we see yayas in uniform, it doesn't automatically mean naman na mayabang or maporma yung mga amo, it's just for our kids' sake na rin to have a neat and undistracted caretakers.  ;)

Sis could not have said it better, askig naman the helpers to wear auniform isnt  form of paguayabang on the employers part. For me its also making them more presentable and neat looking kasi di naman lahat ng helpers madaming damit. Most of the time the stuff they have they use it both panglanas ang pambahay (at least i observed that from our current hh - that's why balaknko sya ipag uniform).

Also i see nothig demeaning about wearing a white or blue scrub suit... Sabi nga ni Daphne Osena sa blog nya having a uniform also helps "professionalize" their Work :)

And sakin lang naman to ha, di ba mas mabuti g naka uniform na maayos ang tratonkesa naman di mo nga pinag-u-uniform kesyo demeaning or whatever pero grabe naman kung itrato & pagsalitaan ng kung ano ano if pinapagalitan ;) just my 2 cents.  ;D

hi if i may join this thread lang, re uniform, may nagsabi sakin na takaw kidnap raw ang mga yaya na may uniform. criminal minds think that pag naka uniform si yaya, kidnappable ang alaga nya. so i guess ingat na lang din. i also have a question re my yaya. she's okay naman, pleasant, professional, etc. pero  i discovered that she has a fb and nagpopost siya ng pics nya wearing shorts na nasa room nya in our place! and since public ang profile nya, may mga foreigners na sumasagot. just recently she posted her no and said naghahanap sya ng bf. oh my ano gagawin ko mga sis. when i talk to her naman napakasanta ng dating.

Uniforms are ok, I guess because ngayon mas ok na they use scrub suits unlike before na iba talaga ang uniform ng maids. Pansin mo nga ngayon, yayas have the same uniforms as massage therapists. It's true that it professionalizes their work.

Iyaluna - I guess since na-discover mo na yung FB account nya, it's better that you tell her na you know she's been posting pics of herself na nasa house nyo. I think what they do out of work is their entitlement din naman as long as your safety and security arent compromised. Kung naghahanap ng bf na foreigner, problema nya yon as long as hinde nya ibigay ang address/phone number ng bahay nyo. I'm not sure if she's aware kung gano kadame ang manloloko and masamang loob na naglipana sa net.

thanks goddess. she didnt mention our address naman, and she's never alone in our place. also, condo naman sya where the guards are strict sa pagpapasok ng guests.  my reservation din in telling her that i know her fb account, is baka maging secretive na sya to me. medyo open pa naman sya sakin ngayon. but yes you are right dapat iremind ko sya about posting pics and meeting foreigners. how to say it is my dilemma.

And take note, nag request pa ng pabalot ng ulam).

3. Keep my baby clean, as well as his things.

Iyauna: agree with twelveth_goddess, would be best if you let your yaya/hh know that you know she has an fb account and tell her na whatever she does in her personal time is her business but remind her to never ever give details of your family's address or personal info. Padaanin mo siguro as advice & not pagalit para mas makinig & di ma feel na nangengealam ka para din mas receptive sya :) chaka yun nga sabihan mo din na maraming manloloko so ingat din sya :)

ON UNIFORM - same with our sisses, if they can carry their self professionally eh ok lang na hindi. i bought 2 sets for my previous yaya kasi naman pagkuhak o kay baby, puro glitters kasi yung glitters ng damit nya, dumikit na kay baby. plus lagi ko sinasabi na if gusto magpabango, light scent lang, may time na yung same yaya na yun, pagkuhak o kay baby, amoy avon na pangmatanda, naku, pinaalis ko na.

sa monday pa lang kami makaka-attend ng party with our current yaya. mabait at love ni baby yung yaya nya.

Mga Sis may I join? So magaling na sana. Well experienced talaga. Then pag wala ako, tinu-turuan niya baby ko to call her "Nanay". Kalokah talaga! Hindi marunong lumugar.  >:(

Hi there! pa join din ako ha. A month ago we hired a hh/yaya, since di pa naman ako manganganak I believe mas ok para mas makilala ko siya. Ok naman sya, she's 18yrs.old pero madali turuan. The only problem lang is the communication, medyo hirap sya magsalita ng tagalog. Since bata rin, minsan nagugulat ako kasi super pepe shorts sya.

Sis, ayaw mo ba maghire ng yaya tapos enroll mo nalang sa medela moms, may seminar sila for yaya in handling newborn.

^agree with the above, you can train a HH to become a yaya. Aside from Medela I also have the number of a newborn nurse from cardinal santos. She gave me her number as she trains to-be yayas during her off days. PM me if interested, I can give you her name and number

naku sana nga makahanap ako bago manganak. our old yaya kasi hindi rin marunong with newborn. 3years old na kasi niya ako naalagaan at matandang dalaga rin.

kaya i need someone na talagang marunong na.

My mom told me na kinalikot niya phone ng yaya ko kasi lagi nga daw may ka text kahit nag aalaga ng baby ko. AYUN, that's what she found.  ;D

Time to look for another one.  ???

Grabe its sooooo hard to find good help nowadays talaga :( as in super one in a million yung ok na yaya.

My current yaya, ok naman sya pero stay out so hassle kasi my husband & I have to rush home EVERY SINGLE DAY kasi by 730 or 8pm umaalis na sya and sa maid lang maiiwan yung baby namin  :( yun yung pinaka-issue ko since sa gabi kami naman ni husband ang nag-aalaga sa anak ko kasi he sleeps with us in our bed.

So far wala akong super reklamo sa kanya kasi ang point ko lang basta alagaan nya son ko ng maayos wala na kaming pag-uusapan, pero sometimes she tends to overstep her boundaries and minsan feeling ko alam nyang indespensible sya at this point kaya medyo mayabang umasta. Di ko rin gusto na yung last maid namin na di na bumalik from day-off di nya sinabi samin - eh FOR SURE alam naman nya yung plano nung bruha at malandi kong maid! Parang it proves na wala syang malasakit sa amin and loyalty - Oh well my husband always says na mataas expectations ko and wala naman daw talagang malasakit ang mga maids & yaya's. Nakakalungkot lang huhuhu  :'( :'( :'(
