Sis, magkano discount ni BIL? Pwede ba pabili? Hehe, oo ang mahal ng Enfa series. Ang sakit sa wallet. Though sulit naman kasi so far healthy si baby kahit na hindi kami nag-bf. Never pa sya nagkasakit kahit colds. Pwera bati!

how much ang enfalac A+?cheaper ba?

hi sis micci, for me, switching without pedia's advice is ok but it would always depend on you. in my case, i just switched my 1 month old baby from enfalac a+ to s26 gold because he had rashes. after 2 days of giving s26 gold and breastfeeding, rashes are gone.

so far, s26 gold is better for him.

Mga sis ask ko lang kasi yung baby ko ever since NAN Al 110. Dun kasi siya nahiyang and tumaba... lNgayon na 6 months na siya nag-switch na ako sa Gain Plus. Pero bakit ganon sobrang watery ng stool niya? Parang sumabay din kasi yung pagiipin niya kaya siguro ganon ka watery yung stool niya. Napa-test ko na din yung poop niya pero negative naman siya. Isa pa na-observe ko naging gassy si baby... Sayang kasi sobrang like ko pa naman ang Gain kasi tried an tested na sa 2 kids ko.

Like most of here, nakailang try din ako ng formula para kay baby. Nung first few days nya sa hospital, binigay ng pedia was Similac Advance. Due to the rashes on the face, pinalitan to NAN HA ang milk niya. After one month, ganun pa rin ang rashes at hindi nawawala. Palit na naman kami to Nutramigen. According sa pedia ng baby ko, eto na ang pinaka-mataas sa mga hypoallergenic na gatas na available sa market. After a month of feeding my baby with nutramigen, nawala ang rashes niya at naging maganda ang weight gain ng anak ko.

The negative side on feeding my baby Nutramigen is that it's too pricey. 400g can costs Php888 in Mercury Drug stores. Eh malakas mag-milk si baby so yung 400g na yan ay tumatagal lang around 4 days. Dahil specialized milk ang Nutramigen, it doesn't come in bigger cans. At eto pa, nagkakaubusan ng stocks ng gatas na ito sa Alabang area kaya kelangan pa magpa-advance order or magpareserve sa Mercury para lang makakuha kami.

After nawala ang rashes ng anak ko at gumanda na ang skin nya, I slowly transitioned to Enfalac A+. Almost 2 months na siya sa Enfalac A+ and everything looks good. Walang rashes and her poop has good consistency. I switched to this brand without my pedia's consent nga pala. Naisip ko naman kasi na parehong Mead Johnson ang maker ng Nutramigen at Enfalac A+

Lately though, I noticed na humihina ang pag-take nya ng gatas. Iniisip namin baka dahil sa malapit na sya mag-ngipin kaya ganun and she seems to play the nipple of her bottle pag feeding time. Pero pag gutom naman talaga siya, nauubos nya ang 5oz milk in one feeding.

^ sis yung baby ko humina din ang in take ng milk nung mag 4 months naman sya.. reason is palaging laro at tulog ang gusto.

sabi ng pedia as long as hindi nagkakasakit and nag gain ng weight ang baby ko e ok lang. ngayon 6 months na sya and super ok naman ang weight gain nya monthly.

btw, s26 lactose free sya from newborn to 6 months then ngayon Promil lactose free naman.

^sis izabelle, pareho tayo ng milk. s26 lactose free. pero never na humina yung intake ni gean..mas lalong lumakas pa kamo. will see kung ano ibibigay ni pedia when he turns 6 months. baka wyeth line pa rin.

^ sis bakit sya nakalactose free? si jas kasi may history ng asthma hubby ko kaya ginawang lactose free e.

lumalakas ang intake nya ngayon ng milk hindi ko alam kung dahil sa promil. haha!

^napansin kasi ni pedia yung lungad ni gean. hindi sya curdy. yung lungad nya as in yung parang ininom nya. naisip ni pedia na baka hindi naabsorb ni baby yung milk kaya change kami. ok naman yung s26 lactose free sa kanya.

My baby was breastfed from birth to 11 months

The  she started on similac, She drank it from the bottle.. Nagalit an pedia., why would I use bottles daw eh weaned na si baby, bakit daw hindi nalang sippy cup.. (this was here in u.s) hindu na ako umimik., i have my reasons, 1 is i dont want to rush my baby, as long as she can drink from both, I am fine with it

Nung inuwi ko sa pinas si baby at 12 months., na shock ako sa mga gatas!! Napaka dami.. Kaliwa't kanan.. (here in u.s we inly have 3 brands) and after 1 year babies usually drinks fresh milk.. As in yung fresh, hindi yung nasa tetrapak na mahaba ang shelf life,

Anyway., I was not comfortable in switching to tetrapacked milk

She's really healthy.,

30 months na sya., once palang sya nagkasakit (shew was 20 months then, ubo't sipon)

She still uses the bottle but can drink from a cup where ever she pleases, hindi nya pampatulog ang bottle., or what

Mga sis question, is there a big difference ng milk ng babies from 0-6 months dun sa milk ng 6 months to 1 year? Why do we switch milk formulas? I am still currently bfeeding my baby but might need to mix feed soon so I need to understand lang sana...

^^ wow sis, healthy talaga si baby. i believe na sobrang malaking bagay na  nabreastfed mo sya kaya super healthy din.

my baby is formula fed but i have high regards to moms who breastfed

and share ko lang, laking Nido din ako sis at sa buong buhay ko e twice palang ako nacoconfine.. nung bata ako because of tigdas and nung nanganak ako

From enfa we tried nido jr when she turned 1 kaso hindi sya hiyang, in short nagpupupu sya ng basa.. ngayon balik enfa kami ulit, hindi pako nakakapagbackread pero sana meron ditong may direct supplier from MJ para makabawas man lang, sakit kase sa bulsa mas mahal pa sya sa nan

^^^yes sis. i guess, patuloy na magbabago ang milk lalo pa kung hindi pa nahahanap ng mommy kung saan hiyang si baby. pero sa age naman ng bata nagbabago din say for my daughter, she was BF but afer that, she was first on enfapro, then by 9 months, enfagrow, then pag nag 3 sya, pwede na enfakid.

her pedia also suggested that we switch her to anchor or nido jr. dko pa natry ang nido jr. mukha naman syang nasasarpan sa anchor. yung friend ko naka nido jr, ang lusog ng baby nya

When my baby turned 4 months old last month, humina talaga milk intake niya. Yung 4 oz niya lagi na lang may natitira minsan 1 oz minsan naman 2 oz. Maaaring dahil sa nag change siya ng formula from enfalac a+ to similac hw. Feeling ko, Hindi siya nasasarapan sa similac hw. But we have no choice but to stick with it Dahil nagkaron siya ng allergies from enfalac a+. Mas mabilis mapanis ang similac hw kaya nanghihinayang ako to see na laging may natitira sa bottles niya na milk. So, from 4 oz, ginawa ko na Lang 3 oz ang milk intake niya. After 2-3 was I noticed super lakas and dalas niya mag feed. Parang 3 oz every hour. Minsan naman, 3 oz every 2 hrs. What I noticed pa, gumigising  siya 2-3x  sa madaling araw para mag feed. She's a chubby baby  heavy and strong. I'm thankful narin kasi Kapit super like ko ang enfalac a+, nahiyang naman siya sa similac hw. My concern Lang, she will be 6 months old on september, should I give her Gain? Or stick muna with similac hw?

Since hiyang sya sis sa similac hw, i would suggest to stick hanggan maximum age na pwede si similac. Then aftee that, try another milk or sa series din ni similac hw. May ganun ba? Like sa enfa?

Sis Lisa mentioned thru [textspeak!] that next to similac is Gain. They're both Abbott products. I also learned from her that similac hw pala is from 0-12months. Her baby kasi is also a similac hw baby. I won't change her formula na Lang muna. Siguro if meron na kami go signal from her pedia, that's the time na mag gain na siya. Yun nga Lang, there's no HW version kasi of Gain. So, I wonder if she'll stay hiyang parin.

Yes, that would be the best option. Sana humiyang din si baby mo sa gain para less worries for mommy.

I'm really hoping na mahiyang siya sa Gain sis kasi my panganay is also a Gain baby and I can say na worth it talaga. She's very smart, healthy and bibo. Ewan ko, sabi ng husband ko nasa genes daw yun Wala daw sa milk. Hehe. Pero ako, I believe na malaking factor rin yung milk niya sa brain and body development ng bata.

My baby is 13 Months old, breastfed exclusively till now because she won't take any of her formulas since nag 6 months. Ever since pinanganak siya, ayaw niya talag magformula, and now as in pagkataste pa Lang Ng formula, nag-gag na siya. We've tried NAN Pro, NAN HW, S26, and lately Pediasure. Ayaw nga lahat! Kahit chocolate flavor yung Pediasure, ayaw niya pa rin. What I did with her milk - I mix them with her solids (pasta, soup, even sa ulam) para Lang Hindi sayang. 

I'd like to know sana from breastfeeding moms who weaned kids to formula, which one did your baby take? Gusto ko na pa-try kay babe yung Nido Jr / Gain Plus Advance or kahit Lactum. She's started the habit of biting na kasi, and with 8 teeth, super sakit sa nipples. Hindi rin niya gusto pag may nipple shield, so I really have to find a formula that is palatable to her taste. ^children 1 year and above don't really need formula milk. their main source of nutrients should be coming from solids na. why don't you try giving her fresh milk?
