hi mga sis! i just gave birth via CS last dec 22 to a healthy baby boy. we were able to do the unang yakap and he latched to me immediately after delivery. breastfed sya for 4 days when we were in the hospital. but because of my hiwa, i was in pain most of the time. we've decided to mixfeed him with formula. pati pag latch nya saakin and positioning namin, naapektuhan. i've decided to pump early with the guidance of the pedia. through out the day, he receives my expressed breastmilk. sa gabi, we give him similac. any reviews mga sis regarding similac? ok naman ang poops ni baby, almost every feeding, he has bowel movements.

now, my sister from the  US wants me to try hipp organic infant formula milk as my baby's supplement. it's the number 1 organic infant milk daw in Germany. i saw that they are selling it in mercury drug. may mga nakatry na ba dito mga sis ng hipp for their babies? how was it? tia!

 base on my experience day 1 pa lang milk formula na agad si baby kasi kahit anong gawin namin wala talagang milk. my pediatrician advice us to try milk formula and later on try to do breast feed and naging ratio isang breastfeed lang for the whole day and the rest are milk formula. then on day seven wala na talaga pinatigil na talaga ng doctor acceding to her their are some cases that mothers cannot express milk at all by any means so i can say from ever since milk formula si baby. wala naman akong naging problem sa kanya.
day 1 - 3 months = NAN
3months - 12 months = enfalac A+ and promil gold
1 year = progress gold and enfagrow a+

Sis Caffelatte, hindi ba sinabi ni pedia mo na at least 6 weeks dapat magpump kasi pwede kang maoversupply nyan. Try mo na lang ulit magdirect latch kayo ni baby tiisin mo na lang ang sakit. CS din ako at mix feed kami ni baby pero nakaya ko naman tiisin ang pain that time.. Tyaga lang talaga para sa baby.

^hi sis! Yes I am aware that i will over supply in the long run. If that happens, I'm planning to donate my extra BM. I'll also carefully watch out for signs of mastitis. The pedia and lactation consultant actually advised me to cupfeed instead of bottles. Pero it's still up to me pa din naman diba? I need to regain back my energy since i'll be going back to work by mid Feb. By then, mag bottles na din si baby. Pero i'll continue pumping and i'm planning to exclusively give my expressed BM pag kaya na ng supply ko. I joined a group in facebook, exclusively pumping moms. It's a US based group and very informative. Anyway, sorry off topic na.

^sis ako nagpump agad paguwi ko ng bahay kasi we had latching issues pero hindi naman ako nag over supply. I stopped pumping after 2 weeks at naging okay na latch ng baby girl ko. We used bottles din as early as 4th day at buti no nipple confusion naman. Do what you think will work best for you and your baby.

Hi sis belle! Thank you! yeah, i think important din na ma-regain nating nga moms ang energy natin since tayo din ang primary caregiver for our babies. I still heavily bleed, has low blood pressure, and already under medication. I latch my baby with the assistance of my mom. Pero hindi all the time. Takot ako ma-pass out at mabitawan si baby. I just want na mag skin to skin pa din kami ni baby as much as possible. My goal now is to build up my stash of expressed BMs para pag balik sa word, BM ko pa din iinumin ni baby.

^you're welcome sis caffelatte. Normal delivery naman ako pero i was in pain also because of the episiotomy so mixed feeding din kami. S-26 Gold ang formula ng daughter ko. I've tried Similac pero hindi gusto ni baby. Akala ko nga hindi ko na kaya magpa-latch kasi nasaktan talaga ko sa breastfeeding nung nasa hospital pa ako. Nakatulong talaga ang pumping for me para hindi mawala ang supply ko pero iba pa din ang direct latching. Kapag nagpump ako nakakakuha lang ako ng 2 to 3 ounces for both breasts na pero pag naka-latch si baby nabubusog na siya sa 1 breast lang. Nagbibigay pa din ako ng formula kapag nasa labas kami at inconvenient magpa-latch or sobrang pagod ako. Nung una i feel bad for giving formula pero ngayon naisip ko mas mabuti na hindi ako mastress so i can continue on breastfeeding.

ganun din ako sis... i pumped siguro 3 days after ami dumating sa bahay, hospital pa lang pump na kagad ako pero im not oversupply naman....

i mixed feed my baby from 2 weeks till mga 1 month and a half, di siya nabubusog sa pinapump ko e.... then after nun, nakabili ako ng magandang pump and did extensive research hangang sa maging sakto supply ko and pure breastfeeding pero exclusive pumping.

sa ngayon exclusive milk ko na coz i have supply sa freezer na pero ngayon nacoconsume ko na stash ko... humihina na supply ko since 3 days ago lang... di ako makapagpump ng husto and sa stress sa work na din... pero so far so good pa milk ko... pero if my supply really dwindle, i will give baby formula na lang ulit

i know breastmilk is the best pero im not anti formula.... nakakastress kasi pag inisip mo kailangan pure breasfeeding etc.

before 6 weeks nagpump na ko pero no oversupply....

Newborn to one month NAN HW kaso i noticd na hirap mah poop si baby , as in umiiyak siya pag mag poo poo siya. Super , as in SUPER baho din.

ENFALAC A+ naman ngayon and so far she's doing well . Hindi na hirap sa poop and wala ng bad smell.

My baby has two lower teeth and is almost 6 months old. Planning to mix feed when his two upper teeth appears. NAN HA ang sabi sakin ni pedia na formula. I hope he takes it well.
